Improving the accuracy of image-based forest fire recognition and spatial positioning

Forest fires are frequent natural *** is necessary to explore advanced means to monitor,recognize and locate forest fires so as to establish a scientific system for the early detection,real-time positioning and quick fighting of forest *** paper mainly expounds methods and algorithms for improving accuracy and removing uncertainty in image-based forest fire recognition and spatial ***,we discuss a method of forest fire recognition in visible-light *** are four aspects to improve accuracy and remove uncertainty in fire recognition:(1)eliminating factors of interference such as road and sky with high brightness,red leaves,other colored objects and objects that are lit up at night,(2)excluding imaging for specific periods and azimuth angles for which interference phenomena repeatedly occur,(3.improving the thresholding method for determining the flame border in image processing by adjusting the threshold to the season,weather and region,and (4)integrating the visible-light image method with infrared image ***,we examine infrared-image-based methods and approaches of improving the accuracy of forest fire recognition by combining the spectrum threshold with an object feature value such as the normalized difference vegetation index and excluding factors of disturbance such as interference signals,extreme weather and high-temperature ***,a method of visible analysis to enhance the accuracy of forest fire positioning is examined and realized;the method includes decreasing the visual angle,selecting central points,selecting the largest spots,and judging the selection of fire spots according to the central *** studies are examined and the results are found to be satisfactory.

Evaluation of Sustainable Land Management and Diagnosis of Obstacle at County Scale in Sichuan Basin:Taking Lezhi County as Example

This paper established sustainable land resources evaluating indicators fit for hilly area in Sichuan Basin, Southwest of china, and evaluated the case of sustainable land management of Lezhi County from 1990 to 2001. The result showed that the land resource sustainable utilization ability in Lezhi County is belong to Second level （better sustainable）. Secondly, this paper diagnosed some years obstacles of sustainable land management of Lezhi County from base period to goal period and compared the obstacles factors in the indicators system. There were 16 indexes orderly become major affect factor to land sustainable utilization of Lezhi county in indicator system, of which there are 8 obstacles indexes exist both in 1990 and 2001. The value of obstacles degree of five indicators exceeded 5 in 1990, but in 2001, only two indicators＇ values were more than 5.

The concepts of critical baseline and maximal effective baseline have been defined for interferometric SAR (InSAR) DEM application based on the spatial decorrelation (which is a function of baseline).This paper puts forward these two concepts to polarimetric interferometric SAR (Pol-InSAR) forest height estimation *** application makes use of volume decorrelation,which is also a function of *** both the spatial decorrelation and volume decorrelation are considered to determine Pol-InSAR critical and maximal effective *** various decorrelation effects are *** the calculation formula of Pol-InSAR maximal effective baseline are presented and compared to that of *** validation,RVoG-based and PolSARpro-based simulation data and DLR ESAR data are *** concept of Pol-InSAR maximal effective baseline is of practical significance in selection of Pol-InSAR image pairs as well as in the design of further Pol-InSAR systems.

A Ga wetting layer was used to modify the surface structure of sapphire (0001) substrate to prepare high-quality ZnO film by radio frequency plasma-assisted molecule beam epitaxy. We found that this Ga layer plays a crucial role in eliminating 3. rotation domains, controlling polarity and decreasing defect density in ZnO epilayers, as demonstrated by in situ reflection high energy electron diffraction, ex situ high resolution X-ray diffraction and high resolution cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy. Zn-polar film of ZnO was determined by convergent beam electron diffraction. A Ga bilayer model is proposed to understand the effects of the Ga wetting layer on high-quality ZnO growth.

The formation and stability of Si_(1-x)C_x alloys in Si implanted with carbon ions

Si1-xCx alloys of carbon (C) concentration between 0.6%-1.0% were grown in Si by ion implantation and high temperature annealing. The formation of Si1-xCx alloys under different ion doses and their stability during annealing were studied. If the implanted dose was less than that for amorphizing Si crystals, the implanted C atoms would like to combine with defects produced during implantation and it was difficult to form Si1-xCx alloys after being annealed at 850℃. With the increment of implanted C ion doses, the lattice damage increased and it was easier to form Si1-xCx alloys. But the lattice strain would become saturate and only part of implanted carbon atoms would occupy the substitutional positions to form Si1-xCx alloys as the implanted carbon dose increased to a certain degree. Once Si1-xCx alloys were formed, they were stable at 950℃, but part of their strain would release as the annealing temperature increased to 1 000℃. IL-8-induced L-selectin shedding regulates its binding kinetics to PSGL-1

L-selectin plays a crucial role in inflammation cascade by initiating the tethering and rolling of leukocytes on endothelium wall. While many L-selectin molecules are rapidly shed from the cell surface upon activation, the remaining membrane-anchored L-selectin may still play an important role in regulating leukocyte rolling and adhesion with different binding kinetics. Here we developed an in vitro model to activate Jurkat cells via interlukin-8 (IL-8) and quantified the two-dimensional (2D) binding kinetics, using a micropipette aspiration assay, of membrane-anchored L-selectin to P-selectin glycoprotein ligand 1 (PSGL-1) ligand coupled onto human red blood cells (RBCs). The data indicated that L-selectin shedding reduced the amount of membrane-anchored L-selectin and lowered both its reverse and forward rates. These results suggested that the rolling dynamics of activated leukocytes was determined by two opposite impacts: reducing the surface presentation would enhance the rolling but lowering the kinetic rates would decrease the rolling. This finding provides a new insight into under-standing how L-selectin shedding regulates leukocyte rolling and adhesion.

Fiducial inference in the pivotal family of distributions

In this paper a family, called the pivotal family, of distributions is considered.A pivotal family is determined by a generalized pivotal model. Analytical results show that a great many parametric families of distributions are pivotal. In a pivotal family of distributions a general method of deriving fiducial distributions of parameters is proposed. In the method a fiducial model plays an important role. A fiducial model is a function of a random variable with a known distribution, called the pivotal random element, when the observation of a statistic is *** method of this paper includes some other methods of deriving fiducial distributions. Specially the first fiducial distribution given by Fisher can be derived by the method. For the monotone likelihood ratio family of distributions, which is a pivotal family, the fiducial distributions have a frequentist property in the Neyman-Pearson view. Fiducial distributions of regular parametric functions also have the above frequentist property. Some advantages of the fiducial inference are exhibited in four applications of the fiducial distribution. Many examples are given, in which the fiducial distributions cannot be derived by the existing methods.

As a renewable energy,biofuel has attracted great attention in china and the rest of *** with the national food security,china recently has shifted its biofuel development priority from grain-based to non-grain-based biofuels,including forest-based biodiesel,since *** curcas is one of major biodiesel ***,there is rising debate on availability of land for expanding Jatropha curcas *** overall goal of this paper is to evaluate potential land for Jatropha curcas used as feedstock for biodiesel in *** on remote sensing data on land use,data on meteorological,soil and land slope,and suitable environment for Jatropha curcas plantation,this study uses Agro Ecological Zone method and considers social-economic constraints to evaluate potential suitable land for Jatropha curcas plantation in china's major Jatropha curcas production region,Southwest *** results show that while there are some potential lands to expand Jatropha curcas areas,amount of these lands will hardly meet the government's target for Jatropha curcas-based biodiesels development in the *** may need to reconsider its long-term targets on the development of Jatropha curcas-based biodiesels.

This paper finds a way to extend the well-known Fourier methods, to so-called n+1 directions partition domains in n-dimension. In particular, in 2-D and 3.D cases, we study Fourier methods over 3.direction parallel hexagon partitions and 4-direction parallel parallelogram dodecahedron partitions, respectively. It has pointed that, the most concepts and results of Fourier methods on tensor-product case, such as periodicity,orthogonality of Fourier basis system, partial sum of Fourier series and its approximation behavior, can be moved on the new non tensor-product partition case.

Setting up the hypostratotype of late Precambrian is the main aim of the research on the Meso-and Neoproterozoic in North *** chronostratigraphic position is the key in this study. However,many key horizons have not been calibrated with the high-quality isotopic *** the reported new U-Pb age with the Sensitive High-Resolution Ion Microprobe（SHRIMPⅡ）,a zircon U- Pb age was obtained of the ash bed in the Xiamaling Formation in North china Plate,yielding a weighted mean;Pb/;U age of 13.8±12 *** is the first SHRIMP U-Pb age from the Xiamaling Formation in the North china Plate,and represents the depositing time of the middle part of the Xiamaling *** zircon age plays an important role to understanding geological evolution of the North china Plate during Meso-and Neoproterozoic.
