Study on UV Shielding TiO2 Thin Film Prepared by Sol-Gel Method

Titanium dioxide （TiO2） thin films were prepared on microscopes slides by sol-gel and dip-coating processes from specially formulated *** results show that there exists anatase and rutile structure of TiO2when heat treatment temperature is 450℃,and at 800℃,TiO2particle size is of below 100 nm and rutile structure is *** the range of 360 nm～400 nm the transmittance of TiO2sol increases with the increasing of the concentration of Ti（OC4H9）4in ethanol solution. The transmittance of TiO2films with various number of the layer is measured to be 0% below 320 nm,and the three-layer TiO2film is of the best UV resistance in the range of 320 nm～400 nm.

Aim:To study the effect of gum mastic,a natural resin,on the proliferation ofandrogen-independent prostate cancer PC-3 cells,and further investigate themechanisms involved in this regulatory system,taking nuclear factor κB(NF-κB)signal as the ***:3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazoliumbromide(MTT)assay and a flow cytometer were used to detect the effect of gummastic on the proliferation of PC-3 ***,reporter gene assay,RT-PCR,andWestern blotting were carried out to study the effects of gum mastic on the NF-κBprotein level and the NF-κB signal *** expression of genes involved inthe NF-κB signal pathway,including cyclin D1,inhibitors of κBs(IκBα),andphosphorylated Akt(p-AKT),were *** addition,transient transfectionassays with the 5×NF-κB consensus sequence promoter was also used to test theeffects of gum ***:Gum mastic inhibited PC-3 cell growth and blockedthe PC-3 cell cycle in the G1 *** mastic also suppressed NF-κB activity inthe PC-3 *** expression of cyclin D1,a crucial cell cycle regulator and anNF-κB downstream target gene,was reduced as ***,gum masticdecreased the p-AKT protein level and increased the IκBα protein ***:Gum mastic inhibited the proliferation and blocked the cell cycleprogression in PC-3 cells by suppressing NF-κB activity and the NF-κB signalpathway.

It has been found that unknown meteor showers could be efficiently discovered from the single station video meteor database of the International Meteor Organization(IMO) by assuming the geocentric velocity and adjusting it within the dynamically permitted range. The mean geocentric velocities of new meteor showers can be obtained,as well as the coordinates of the radiants. The activity period and maximum time can also be obtained if there are sufficient shower meteors. All single station video meteor observations between February 13 and 17(from 2000 to 2005) in IMO's database are processed with this method. As a result,two new meteor showers,one near RA=245.10°,Dec=41.82° in Hercules and the other near RA=233.03°,Dec=17.04° in Serpenids,are discovered. Some dynamical characteristics of the new meteor showers are also determined. Considering the random nature on the selection of period in this work,it is expected that there are some more potential new meteor showers in IMO's video database.

Based on optical microscope(OM),transmission electron microscope(TEM) and mechanical performance measurement,the microstructures and mechanical properties of Nb-V micro-alloying non-quenched and tempered steels have been *** results showed that the microstructure consists of ferrite and pearlite,in which there exists a lot of intragranular *** carbide is the main form of carbonitrides,Nb-enriched carbonitrides refine grains,V-enriched carbonitrides have precipitation strengthening effect,which promotes the toughness of the studied *** mechanical properties for steels 1,2 and 3 have met the standards required by high load automobile crankshaft,in which the comprehensive property for No.2 is the best.

We have prepared the Ho-substituted bismuth titanate (Bi3.4Ho0.6Ti3O12, BHT) thin films on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates using sol-gel method. The crystal structure and morphology of the films were characterized using X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy. The BHT film shows a single phase of Bi-layered Aurivillius structure and dense microstructure. The 2Pr and 2Ec of the 600-nm-thick BHT film were 38.4 μC/cm2 and 376.1 kV/cm, respectively at applied electric field 500 kV/cm. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss are about 310 and 0.015 at a frequency of 1 MHz, respectively. The Pr value decreased to 93% of its pre-fatigue values after 4.46×109 switching cycles at 1 MHz frenquency, and the BHT film shows good in-sulating behavior according to the test of leakage current.

Pulsed thermography(PT) as a non-contact non-destructive evaluation(NDE) technique was employed to examine as-sprayed air plasma spray(APS) thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) for quality *** and micro-structural characteristics play a vital role in determining the *** this paper,PT logarithmic peak second-derivative method was adopted to measure the thickness of top *** dependent thermal images were used to characterize the microstructure which was confirmed by scanning electron microscope(SEM).The results showed that there was relationship between the temperature distribution of the surface and microstructure change in *** distribution in thermal images and measurement results of thickness were in fairly good agreement with the microstructure *** can be concluded that it was possible to employ these NDE methods as quality evaluation for as-sprayed TBCs.

To predict correctly the rut depths in asphalt pavements,a new nonlinear viscoelastic-elastoplastic constitutive model of permanent deformation in asphalt pave-ments is presented. The model combines a generalized Maxwell model with an elasto-plastic one. Then from the creep theory,the linear and nonlinear constitutive equations of the generalized Maxwell model are obtained. From the nonlinear finite element method for the rutting of the asphalt pavement,the rut depths of 4 asphalt-aggregate mixtures are obtained. And the results are compared with the ones from the finite element method by SHRP and the experiments by SWK/UN. The results in this paper are better than the ones by SHRP,and agree with the ones of the experiment by SWK/UN. This shows that the nonlinear viscoelastic-elastoplastic constitutive model,which is presented in this paper for the rutting of the asphalt pavement,is effective. The properties,such as nonlinear elastic-ity,plasticity,viscoelasticity and nonlinear viscoelasticity,which affect the rutting of an asphalt pavement,can be shown in the model. And the characteristics of the permanent deformation of the asphalt pavement can be presented entirely in the model.
