Molecular cloning of growth hormone receptor (GHR) from common carp(Cyprinus carpio L.)and identification of its two forms of mRNA transcripts

The cDNA of growth hormone receptor (GHR) was cloned from the liver of 2.year common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and rapid amplification of cDNA end (RACE). Its open reading frame (ORF) of 1806 nucleotides is translated into a putative peptide of 602.amino acids, including an extracellular ligand-binding domain of 2.4 amino acids (aa), a single transmembrane domain of 2. aa and an intracellular signal-transduction domain of 334 aa. Sequence analysis indicated that common carp GHR is highly homologous to goldfish (Carassius auratus) GHR at both gene and protein levels. Using a pair of gene-specific primers, a GHR fragment was amplified from the cDNA of 2.year common carp, a 2.4 bp product was identified in liver and a 32. bp product in other tissues. The sequencing of the products and the partial genomic DNA indicated that the difference in product size was the result of a 97 bp intron that alternatively spliced. In addition, the 32. bp fragment could be amplified from all the tissues of 4-month common carp including liver, demonstrating the occurrence of the alternative splicing of this intron during the development of common carp. Moreover, a semi-quantitative RT-PCR was performed to analyze the expression level of GHR in tissues of 2.year common carp and 4-month common carp. The result revealed that in the tissues of gill, thymus and brain, the expression level of GHR in 2.year common carp was significantly lower than that of 4-month common carp.

We study the direct product decomposition of quantum many-valued algebras (QMV algebras) which generalizes the decomposition theorem of ortholattices (orthomodular lattices).In detail,for an idempo- tent element of a given QMV algebra,if it commutes with every element of the QMV algebra,it can induce a direct product decomposition of the QMV *** the same time,we introduce the commutant C(S) of a set S in a QMV algebra,and prove that when S consists of idempotent elements,C(S) is a subalgebra of the QMV *** also generalizes the cases of orthomodular lattices.

Research of the Gas-solid Flow Character Based on the DEM Method

Numerical simulation of gas-solid flow behaviors in a rectangular fluidized bed is carried out three dimensionally by the discrete element method (DEM).Euler method and Lagrange method are employed to deal with the gas phase and solid phase *** collided force among particles,striking force between particle and wall,drag force,gravity,Magnus lift force and Saffman lift force are considered when establishing the mathematic ***-sphere model is used to describe the collision of *** addition,the Euler method is also used for modeling the solid phase to compare with the results of *** flow patterns,particle mean velocities,particles' diffusion and pressure drop of the bed under typical operating conditions are *** results show that the DEM method can describe the detailed information among particles,while the Euler-Euler method cannot capture the micro-scale *** matter which method is used,the diffusion of particles increases with the increase of gas *** the gathering and crushing of particles cannot be simulated,so the energy loss of particles' collision cannot be calculated and the diffusion by using the Euler-Euler method is *** addition,it is shown by DEM method,with strengthening of the carrying capacity,more and more particles can be schlepped upward and the dense suspension upflow pattern can be ***,the results given by the Euler-Euler method are not consistent with the real situation.

Fused thiophenes refer to oligothienoacenes in which several thiophenes are coupled together via twoor multi-positions and their derivatives. The synthesized organic semiconductors based on fused thiophenes exhibit excellent field effect properties due to their efficient intermolecular S…S interactions and π…π stacking. The performances of organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) depend not only on the materials but also on the devices. Such factors which influence the device performances as device structures, fabrication technologies and interface engineering are extensively investigated based on the fused thiophenes. Searching for new organic semiconductors and improving the device fabrication technologies are two major issues in the development of OFETs.

Wet-chemical synthesis and characteristics of Au nanoshell

Gold nanoshells were prepared by an easy wet-chemical method, with Ag nanoparticles used as the templates. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) indicated that the shells were sphere in shape, the size was homogenous, being about 2. nm, and no hard ag-glomerates were observed. The plasma resonance absorption of gold was tuned from visible to near-infrared (NIR) with the increased volume of HAuCl4. The temperature grads (?T) of the gold nanoshell hydrosol under the exposure of an 808-nm optical fiber laser with different power den-sities were measured. The highest ?T was 30℃ (5 W/cm2. irradiation area was 2.cm2.. This kind of gold nanoshell hydrosol is a promising material to be used in biomedicine such as photo-thermal cancer therapy, and its special photothermal convert property will photothermally trigger drug release.

The establishment of crystal position look-up table for positron emission tomography with block detectors

A method has been developed to establish the crystal position look-up table for positron emission tomography with block detectors. It is based on the principle that the counts in crystal position histogram obey the Gaussian mixture model (GMM). This method has taken full consideration of the characteristics of the GMM and the detector itself. The experimental results have proved that it is simple, reliable, and universal.

The least-square method in complex number domain

The classical least-square method was extended from the real number into the complex number domain, which is called the complex least-square method. The mathematical derivation and its applications show that the complex least-square method is different from one that the real number and the imaginary number are separately calculated with the classical least-square, by which the actual least-square estimation cannot be obtained in practice. Applications of this new method to an arbitrarily given series and to the precipitation in rainy season at 160 meteorological stations in china mainland show advantages of this method over other conventional statistical models.

Kinematics and dynamics of the Mesozoic orogeny and late-orogenic extensional collapse in the Sino-Mongolian border areas

The Sino-Mongolian border areas underwent two important tectonic events during Mesozoic time after late Paleozoic orogeny: a late Triassic to earlier Jurassic contractional event that resulted in a large-scale south-vergent thrust during the orogeny and a late Jurassic-earlier Cretaceous extensional event in a north-south direction that formed a metamorphic core complex. The kinematic and dynamic analyses show that the thrust sheet moved southwards with a kinematic vorticity number of ca. -0.10 and sub-horizontal maximum compressive stress axis that belongs to a contraction-thickening shear. The upper plate of the late-orogenic detachment relatively moved in a 165°direction. The average kinematic vorticity in its earlier stage was 0.74 that belongs to simple shear dominated shearing and related to the maximum compressive stress axes dipping at ～66°, while the later average kinematic vorticity was ～0.55°that belongs to pure shear dominated shearing with sub-vertical maximum compressive stress axes. This suggests that the thrusting led to the crust thickened and the lower plate rocks that were originally located in the upper crust depressed through a brittle-ductile transition zone into the lower crust and became warmer. The heated rocks trended to uplift since their increasing volume and decreasing density while the loading of the upper-plate rocks increased due to the structural thickening. Under the combined effect of the loading and the thermal-uplifting, the ductile shear zone in between increased in its component of vertical pure shear. Once its pure-shear component exceeded its simple-shear one the ductile shear zone became an extension-thinned shear zone. This progressive transitional process reflects internal and essential temporal and spatial relationships: the extensional factor nucleated during the crust thickening by thrusting and increase of the extensional factor finally led to late-orogenic collapse.

We examine various direct and indirect constraints on the lepton-specific two-Higgs doublet model and discuss its phenomenology at colliders in the allowed parameter *** constraints we consider come from the precision electroweak data,the direct search for Higgs boson,the muon anomalous magnetic moment,as well as some theoretical consistency *** find that in the allowed parameter space the CP-odd Higgs boson A is rather light (m A < 30 GeV with 95% possibility),which is composed dominantly by the leptonic Higgs and decays dominantly into τ + τ;while the SM-like Higgs boson h (responsible largely for electroweak symmetry breaking) decays dominantly in the mode h → AA → 4τ with a large decay width,which will make the Higgs discovery more difficult at the ***,this scenario predicts rare Z decays Z → AAA and Z →τ + τA with their branching ratios ranging from 10-8 to 10-and 10-5 to 10-4 respectively,which may be accessible at the GigaZ option of the ILC.

The ultra low frequency (ULF) wave in magnetosphere can act as an important means for solar wind energy inward *** paper quantitatively analyzes the propagation process of the ULF wave triggered by the interplanetary shock propagating from inner magnetosphere equatorial plane along magnetic field lines to the top of the ionosphere and below ionosphere propagating process and establishes a relatively complete magnetosphere-ionosphere-atmosphere propagation model which can be used to study the relationship between the amplitude of the ULF waves triggered by the interplanetary shock wave in magnetospheric space and the magnetic effect caused by the ULF *** a comparison with recent observations,we found that: in the event during November 7,2.04 that an interplanetary shock wave interacted with the magnetosphere,Cluster satellites observed that electric field fluctuations and the band-pass filtered result of ground stations meridional component had similar *** with the geomagnetic measurement near the footprints,we found that the electric field disturbance in the magnetosphere spread along the ground magnetic field lines in the form of the ULF waves and changed into geomagnetic *** result reveals that the ULF wave is in contact with the ground geomagnetic *** ULF waves couple with ionized components in ionosphere and spread to the ground in the form of electromagnetic *** this research,we believe that the magnetosphere,ionosphere and ground magnetic effects caused by interplanetary shock wave are the same physical phenomena responding in different *** on the overall consideration of entire electromagnetic response to the interplanetary shock wave,we found that the correlation between CLUSTER multi-satellite observation and geomagnetic station observation is due to the ULF wave propagated in magnetosphere-ionosphere-atmosphere system,and we quantitatively interpreted this response process
