Simulation study on the efficiencies of MOET nucleus breeding schemes applying marker assisted selection in dairy cattle

Advantages of breeding schemes using genetic marker information and/or multiple ovulation and embryo transfer(MOET) technology over the traditional approach were extensively evaluated through *** yield was the trait of interest and QTL was the genetic marker *** dairy cattle breeding scenarios were considered,i.e.,traditional progeny testing breeding scheme(denoted as STANPT),GASPT scheme including a pre-selection of young bulls entering progeny testing based on their own QTL information,MOETPT scheme using MOET technology to generate young bulls and a selection of young bulls limited within the full-sib family,GAMOPT scheme adopting both QTL pre-selection and MOET technology,COMBPT scheme using a mixed linear model which considered QTL genotype instead of the BLUP model in GAMOPT,and three non-progeny testing schemes,*** MOET,GAMO and COMB schemes,corresponding to MOETPT,GAMOPT and COMBPT with progeny testing being part of the *** were selected based on their breeding value which was estimated under an animal model *** selection over 17 years was performed in the simulations and 30 replicates were designed for each *** influences of using QTL information and MOET technology on favorable QTL allele frequency,true breeding values,polygenetic breeding values and the accumulated genetic superiority were extensively evaluated,for five different populations including active sires,lactating cows,bull dams,bull sires,and young *** results showed that the combined schemes significantly outperformed other approaches wherein accumulated true breeding value *** difference between schemes exclusively using QTL information or MOET technology was not *** STANPT scheme was the least efficient among the 8 *** schemes using MOET technology had a higher polygenetic response than others in the 17th *** increases of frequency of the favorable QTL allele varied more greatly across t

The unified chaotic system incorporates the behaviors of the Lorenz,the Chen and the L(u|¨) chaotic *** this paper,the Hstate estimation problem is investigated for a unified chaotic system with uncertainty(noise perturbation).The unified chaotic system is first transformed into a Lur’e *** on the Hperformance analysis for the Lur’e system,an improved Luenberger-like estimator(or filter) is designed to estimate its states through available output measurements such that the exponential stability of the estimation error dynamic systems is guarantee and the influence of noise on the estimation error is limited within a lowest *** parameters of the estimator(or filter) are obtained by solving the eigenvalue problem(EVP).A numerical example is provided to show the usefulness of the proposed estimation method.

Although positive and negative signatures of ionospheric storms have been reported many times,global characteristics such as the time of occurrence,time delay and duration as well as their relations to the intensity of the ionospheric storms have not received enough *** 10 years of global ionosphere maps(GIMs) of total electron content(TEC) retrieved at Jet Propulsion Laboratory(JPL) were used to conduct a statistical study of the time delay of the ionospheric responses to geomagnetic *** results show that the time delays between geomagnetic disturbances and TEC responses depend on season,magnetic local time and magnetic *** the summer hemisphere at mid- and high latitudes,the negative storm effects can propagate to the low latitudes at post-midnight to the morning sector with a time delay of 4-7 *** the earth rotates to the sunlight,negative phase retreats to higher latitudes and starts to extend to the lower latitude toward midnight *** the winter hemisphere during the daytime and after sunset at mid- and low latitudes,the negative phase appearance time is delayed from 1-10 h depending on the local time,latitude and storm intensity compared to the same area in the summer *** quick response of positive phase can be observed at the auroral area in the night-side of the winter hemisphere. At the low latitudes during the dawn-noon sector,the ionospheric negative phase responses quickly with time delays of 5-7 h in both equinoctial and solsticial months. Our results also manifest that there is a positive correlation between the intensity of geomagnetic disturbances and the time duration of both the positive phase and negative phase. The durations of both negative phase and positive phase have clear latitudinal,seasonal and magnetic local time(MLT) dependence. In the winter hemisphere,long durations for the positive phase are 8-11 h and 12.14 h during the daytime at middle and high latitudes for 2.≤Ap<40 and Ap≥40.

The reconstruction of fossil planation surface in Chin

On the basis of results of relative subjects, the fossil planation surface has been discussed by the authors from the point of geomorphologic view. The discussion contents included the characteristic information, research methods, paleotopography (gradient and altitude) and other problems about fossil planation surface. The recognition and reconstruction of fossil planation surface mainly rely on the following characteristic information: (i) the character of erosion unconformity surface; (ii) the paleo-weathering crust and residual deposits; (iii) the paleo-karst and filled deposit in the paleo-karst under the unconformity surface, and (iv) the character and environment of sediment above the unconformity surface. According to the above-mentioned characteristic information, the authors recognized and reconstructed two stages of fossil planation surface on Pa-leo-land of North china and Yangtze Paleo-land. This paper presents an analysis of collision risk on parallel routes,which computes the collision risk through establishing a model under the condition of a given target level of ***,the three-dimensional coordination system of the aircraft is converted to two-dimensional coordination system,and then the collision risk assessment model is established by using multi-dimensional random variable covariance matrix on the basis of spherical protected area instead of cuboid protected area in the Reich ***,arithmetic of separation assessment is established to compute the collision risk under different flight ***,an example is analyzed,compared the results 1.02.×10,3.2.2.10 and 6.473×10 with the target level of safety 1.5×10 to indicate that the separation of the route is feasible.
