Nanostructured columns with a length about several tens of micrometer and a diameter of about 80 nm were obtained by molecular recognition directed self-assembly of a pair of comple- mentary molecular components, 4-amino-2 , 6-didodecylamino-1 , 3, 5-triazine(M) and 5- (4-dode- cyloxybenzylidene )-(1H, 3H)-2, 4, 6-pyrimidinetrione (B) in chloroform. In this system, with positive cooperativity, π-aromatic stacking and van der Waals interactions as well as hydrogen bonds cause the formation of the nanocolumns.

Previous studies have demonstrated the important role of taurine in inhibiting proliferation of myofibrob lasts（myoFb） and myocardial fibrosis. However, the underlying mechanisms are unclear. The present study was de signed to shed light on this issue through exploring the signal pathways via in vitro experiments. Angiotension II （AngII） treatment significantly increased myoFb proliferation and the levels of collagens I and III（P〈0.05）, whereas taurine, PKCα（PKC： protein kinase C） specific inhibitor L-threo-dihydro-sphingosine（D4681）, ERK1/2 inhibitor （PD98095） abrogated myoFb proliferation and collagen levels（P〈0.05, P〈0.01, respectively）, and increased the G0/G1 phase rate and decreased S phase rate. Immunocytochemistry, confocal fluorescence staining and image analy sis showed that taurine could inhibit the translocation and expression of p-PKCαin membrane, and then inhibit nuc lear translocation and expression of p-ERK1/2. These results have statistically significant differences compared with those of AngII group（P〈0.01）. Western blot results also show that taurine could inhibit the protein expression of p-PKCα and p-ERK1/2. We used p-PKCα specific inhibitor D4681 in order to elucidate the relationship between p-PKCα and p-ERK1/2 in signal transduction pathways. Finally, the results show that the protein expression of p-ERK1/2 and nuclear translocation were suppressed in D4681 group.

The homogeneous system of 12-tungstophosphoric acid and diethylene glycol was studied using IR and NMR spectra. It was found that the protons in 12-tungstophosphoric acid formed proton oxonium ions with the hydroxyl oxygen in diethylene glycol by hydrogen-bonds, and the formed proton oxonium ions could react with the terminal oxygens of heteropoly anions. The dehydration-cyclization mechanism of diethylene glycol in the presence of heteropoly acid was also proposed.

By applying the theorem of corresponding relation to P-T-xi multicomponent phase diagrams, six corollaries are obtained. These corollaries show the regularities and variation ranges of the total number of different phases in two neighboring phase regions （abbreviated to NPRs）, the number of common phases existing in both NPRs, △Φ, the dimensions of phase boundaries between NPRs, R1’, and the relation between them. The relation between the dimension of boundaries, R1, and R1 is also discussed. According to the above theorem and corollaries, the relation between NPRs and their boundaries in binary and ternary P-T-xi phase diagrams is briefly analysed.

The systematic theory about the relation between the neighboring phase regions （NPRs） and their boundaries in P-T-Xi multicomponent phase diagrams has been worked out. But three basic formulas about the relation between the dimension of boundary R1’ and the dimension of phase boundary （PB） R1 remain to be proved. Now we prove them theoretically, so our theory becomes more rigorous.

On the temperature characteristics of phase measurement in homodyne fiber interferometer

Different from the traditional way of using piezoelectric （PZT）phase shifter to measure phase difference, a new method is designed to calculate it between signals in the two arms of a homodyne fiber interferometer. A simple homodyne fiber interferometer system is then established to measure the interference photoeurrent and the photocurrents from the two fiber arms generated by the signal power on a temperature control plat. The homodyne fiber interferometer system is composed of fiber and sensitive to the variation of temperature. Thus, is necessary to study the temperature characteristics in the phase measurement of homodyne fiber interferometer. The experimental results show that the variation of the phase difference of signals in the two fiber arms is proportional to the variation of temperature.

The eight-node and forty-DOF piezoelectric shell element were applied to shape control of a flat shell structure. By the direct and converse effects, a distributed piezoelectric sensor layer was used to monitor the shape deformation and a distributed actuator layer was used to suppresse the deflection. A finite element model was for static response of laminated shell with piezoelectric sensors/actuators was derived. The model was verified by calculating piezoelectric polymeric PVDF bimorph beam. The results are in good agreement with those obtained by theoretical analysis of Tzou and Hwang . A case study of the static shape control of a flat shell structure is presented.
