Exceptional rules are often ignored because of their small support. However, they have high confidence, so they are useful sometimes. A new algorithm for mining exceptional rules is presented, which creates a large itemset from a relatively small database and scans the whole database only one time to generate all exceptional rules. This algorithm is proved to be quick and effective through its application in a mushroom database.

SIMULATION OF NON-POINT POLLUTANTS EVOLUTION IN COASTAL PLAIN ISLAND-A CASE STUDY OF CHONGMING ISLAND

The coastal plain region usually shows the agricultural dominated industry mode, so more and more attention is paid to non-point pollutants discharge. In this study, the method for assessing the influence of non-point pollutants discharge on river water quality is probed which is concluded as follows：（1） Considering the costal plain island is characterized as nearly even elevation, the conventional gravitational runoff confluence method based on eight-point gravitational flowing directions （DS） is unable to compute the runoff confluence received by the surrounding rivers, so a new method of triangular confluence based on three-points of grid center and the river segments is presented. Further the equations of non-point pollutants loads estimation and non-point pollutants confluence on rivers are presented. （2. The integration mode of non-point pollutants model and river water quality model is presented so as to further assess the non-point pollutants contribution to river water quality. （3） With the Chongming Island, the third largest island in china, as an example, the above-mentioned equations are specified. For this island, the non-point pollutants loads are estimated and linked to the developed water quality model of the river network in the island, and further the non-point pollution evolution in river network is simulated. In this scenario, the non-point pollution contribution to river water quality over the whole island is clearly displayed, and the area where the river water quality is seriously influenced by non-point pollutants discharge is distinctly depicted. This scenario also shows the water quality contribution ratio of non-point pollution to point pollution can be in the range of 55.5% to 44.5% which proves the importance of non-point pollution control in costal plain islands.

In this paper, a kind of measure of structural centrality for networks, called modularity centrality, is introduced. This centrality index is based on the eigenvector belonging to the largest magnitude eigenvalue of modularity matrix. The measure is illustrated and compared with the standard centrality measures using a classic dataset. The statistical distribution of modularity centrality is investigated by considering large computer generated graphs and two networks from the real world.

We introduce the relationship between excess noise in Optoelectronic Coupled Devices (OCDs) and their interior defects and explain how low-fiequency noise can be used to estimate their *** concepts from the biological immune system and its process of identifying invaders,we present a system for estimation of the reliability of *** system has expressions for the antigen (excess noise),lymphocyte (criterion) and the role of the lymphocyte eliminating unreliable devices. A genetic algorithm was used to estimate the components parameters of the noise spectrum for estimating the reliability of *** experimental results demonstrated that this method is reliable,adaptable and practical.

A free-form lens (FFL) is a special surface that is difficult to be fabricated. FFL are usually fabricated by computer-controlled optical surfacing (CCOS) technique. During CCOS, the material removal amount is determined by the unit removal function (URF) convoluting with the input data――the dwell time. When the removal amount and the URF are known, how to solve the input data involves the special algorithm――deconvolution. Usually, the input data are solved by virtue of low pass filter or iterative methods. However, an approximation solution would destroy the machining stability nec-essary to perform precisely CCOS. In this paper, to solve the input data, a new method that is based on the finite Fourier coefficient is put forward. It can give a continuous and accurate solution for fabricating choice. Several parameters are simulated, which influ-ence the process of CCOS, and evaluating on the effect of the method is also carried out. Experimental results verify that this method is suitable for guiding the manufacturing of high precision FFL.

This paper presents a recovery algorithm for self-stabilizing communication protocols. It first describes some concepts and a formal description method for the algorithm. Then it proposes the algorithm procedures, proves its correctness and analyses its complexity. Finally, it also verifies the availability and efficiency of the algorithm by illustrating an example protocol with multi-processes.
