Indoor imitation experimental study on driving factors of rainfall-runoff process

The driving actions of rainfall-runoff process can be attributed to two aspects. The first is the influence of precipitation process, and the second is that of the ground pad. The re- search results of 179 indoor experiments conducted to imitate rainfall-runoff process indicate that both precipitation duration and intensity play important roles in affecting confluence lag time, which is obviously inconsistent with the traditional hypotheses. The nonlinear relationship is of great significance to the confluence curve especially when the precipitation duration is less than the total confluence time or the precipitation intensity is small. Therefore it can be concluded that the unit hydrograph (UH) can be applied to rainfall-runoff process imitation in the humid areas in the south china region. However, the UH application should be strictly modified in accordance with precipitation conditions in the arid and semiarid region of north china where the precipitation duration is short and the intensity is unstable. It will be hard to get ideal imitation results if the UH is applied blindly without considering specific conditions in the north china region. This also explains the unsatisfactory imitation results caused by using various hydrological models in the north china region. When the precipitation duration is short, and the watershed has not reached total watershed concentration, the characteristics of confluence change greatly, which reflects the actual situation in the north china region. Therefore necessary nonlinear corrections should be made when UH is applied. If the duration is longer than the total confluence time and the balance between pondage and discharge is stricken, the imitation research results will be applicable to both rainfall-runoff relation with longer duration in the south china region and the basic theoreti- cal research on runoff generation and concentration. The Induction of Liver Microsomal Cytochrome P450 by Glycyrrhiza uralensis and Glycyrrhetinic acid in Mice

The effect of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch (GRZ) aqueous extract and one of its active principles Glycyrrhetinic acid (GRT) on hepatic cytochrome P450 in mice were investigated. Oral administration of GRZ at 10g/kg/d or GRT at 50 mg/kg/d for 7 days was foulld to increase the P450 contents up to 4.6 fold compared with the controls. The activities of aryl hydrocarbon hydroxylase (AHH,3. 1 and 3. 3 fold), aminopyrine N-demethylase (ADM, 4. 2 and 3. 2 folds), and 7-ethoxycumarin O-deethylase (ECOD, 2. 8 and 2. 5 fold) were also shown to be increased. Westem blot analysis showed that the subtypes of P450 isoforms induced selectively by GRZ and GRT included CYP1A1 (1. 8 and 1. 5 fold over that of the control, respectively), CYP2B1 (both 1.3 fold), and CYP2C11(3 .2 and 3 .0 fold). Moreover, significant positive correlation between the P450 content or the isoforms and the corresponding enzyme activities mentioned above was observed.

A daptive Normal Image Coding Scheme Basedon DCT Spectrum Distribution and H-Order

In this paper according to the results of DCT spectrum disfribution analysis. we propose an adaptivenormal image coding scheme and image pre treatment, which use multi-scale adaptive sub-blocks in h-order anddecompose direct current component Dc into both components. Redundancy in one of both components can beremoved by multi-direction in h-order, the other component can be quantified finitely in loss. with less influence onthe quality of the reconstructed image. A new method combining quart-tree and template matching is used to extractnon-zero data from the coefficient matrix,the ideal result has been achieved from the coding scheme. The newscheme is called ANQS (adaptive normal quantification scheme ). Experiments prove that ANQS is much betterthan JPEG in the same image. With ANQS excellent quality of reconstruction is obtained at data rate as low as 0.0625 bpp and their PSNR as high as 30.31 dB, respectively but JPEG method is only obtained at data rate: 0.180 bppand PSNR: 32. 19 dB.

Design,fabrication and experimental research for an electrohydrodynamic micropump

This paper presented a novel electrohydrodynamic (EHD) micropump based on MEMS technology. The working mechanisms and classification of EHD micropump were introduced. The fabrication process of EHD micropump was presented with the material selection,optimal design of microelectrode and assembly process. Static pressure experiments and flow experiments were carried out using different fluid and the channel depth. The results indicated that the micropump could achieve a maximum static pressure head of 268 Pa at an applied voltage of 90 V. The maximum flow rate of the micropump-driven fluid could reach 106 μL/min. This paper analyzed the future of combining micropump with heat pipe to deal with heat dissipation of high power electronic chips. The maximum heat dissipation capacity of 87 W/cm2 can be realized by vaporizing the micropump-driven liquid on vaporizing section of the heat pipe.

In this paper,laboratory reports,medication rules,formulating principles,and research methods are summarized and analyzed,including single herb,compound herbs,and the problems in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis(OP) within the past *** widely recognized efficacy,satisfying achievements have been achieved in preventing and treating OP with Chinese herbal medicines(CHM).However,due to the complex constituents,the pharmacological activities and mechanism of CHM are not clear yet,and there is no unified standard on the diagnosis and syndrome differentiation of OP and the efficacy evaluation of CHM in the ***,the research in the future should focus on the pharmacology and standardization of CHM in treating OP.

BACKGROUND: The development of a harmless and effi- cient nonviral gene delivery system that can facilitate the penetration of nucleic acids through the plasma membrane is a key to successful gene therapy. The aim of this study was to test a nonviral gene transferring vector's function of delivering DNA into liver cells to provide an important clue for gene transfer in liver gene therapy. METHODS: The complex of DNA and DNA delivering protein was injected into mice through their tail veins. Then the mice were killed and their liver tissue was sec- tioned. The gene transferring results were detected using a confocal laser scanning microscope. RESULTS: Fluorescence analysis indicated that both DNA- membrane penetrating peptide (MPP) complex and DNA- hepatocyte specific receptor binding domain ( HSRBD) - MPP complex could go into liver cells. The fluorescence value of liver cells in the DNA-HSRBD-MPP group was higher than that in the DNA-MPP group. CONCLUSIONS; MPP can successfully deliver DNA and protein into cells, and MPP with a HSRBD can specifically deliver DNA into liver cells. These have laid a foundation for further study on the nonviral liver cell gene delivering system.

A novel small band-gap conjugated polymer - poly [(3-acetylpyrrole-2,5-diyl)(4-dimethylaminobenzyliene)(3-acetylpyrrolequinodimethane-2,5-diyl)] (PAPDMABE) - and its precursor were synthesized by a simple method and characterized by H-1-NMR, FT-IR, TGA and UV-VIS. The polymer can be dissolved in strong polar solvents such as DMSO, DMF or NMP. The band-gap energy of PAPDMABE, was found to be 0.95 eV. The conductivity of doped products with iodine falls in the range of a semiconductor.
