A formulated as △fH m ? (PPDs,g)=a+ΣbiPi + cifi is put forward for estimating standard formation enthalpies of pyridine-derivatives (PDDs), in which,P i is path index andc i f i is an amended term of interaction between substituent and N atom on pyridine ring. The Calculations based on the model were carried out for some pyridine-derivatives. The values of standard formation enthalpy calculated are consistent with those in literature.

As a new direct metal prototyping technology,the hybrid plasma and laser deposition manufacturing (PLDM) is proposed in this paper. In order to figure out the characteristics of plasma arc beam and mould in the PLDM process of high temperature alloy, the high speed CCD camera is used to obtain the picture around the plasma arc. Afterwards the sketch of picture is clearly obtained. And the effect of laser parameter, such as average power, pulse width, pulse repetition frequency and the angle between laser beam and plasma arc beam on the plasma arc appearance, is studied experimentally. The results show that the modality of plasma arc beam is markedly influenced by laser beam. And the improvements of shape precision and surface state of the layer deposited by PLDM are confirmed.

A network-based Virtual Private Network (VPN) architecture by using fundamental routing mechanism is proposed. This network is a virtual overlay network based on the relay of IP-in-IP tunneling of virtual routing modules. The packet format employs the encapsulation of IPSec ESP(Encapsulating Security Payload), an impact path code and an extended DS(Differentiated Services) code to support multi-path routing and QoS. Comparing with other models of VPN, this network system can be deployed in the current network with little investment, and it is easy to implement. The simulation result shows its performance is better than the traditional VPN system of black box mode.

Mesozoic radiolarian chert from the middle sector of the Yarlung Zangbo suture zone,Tibet and its tectonic implications

Three radiolarian fauna, aged as the Middle-Late Triassic, Late Jurassic-Early Creta- ceous and Cretaceous radiolarian fauna, have been recognised in the radiolarian cherts from the middle sector of the Yarlung Zangbo suture zone, southern Tibet, china. The average contents of SiO2.in the radiolarian cherts of the Middle-Late Triassic and Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous are 90.2.% and 92.58% respectively, with average ratios of Al/(Al+Fe+Mn) as 0.75 and 0.74 respectively, the average ratios of MnO/TiO2.as 0.36 and 1.2., the average ratios of Ce/Ce* as 1.15 and 1.03, and the average ratios of LaN/CeN as 0.85 and 0.93. These geochemical features indicate that both of them are biogenic, deposited in a continental margin basin. The SiO2.content of the Early Cretaceous radiolarian chert is 94.12., with the ratio of Al/(Al+Fe+Mn) as 0.59, ratio of MnO/TiO2.as 4.30, ratio of Ce/Ce* as 0.60, ratio of LaN/CeN as 1.59, which imply that the chert is biogenic and was deposited in a pelagic basin. The Middle-Late Triassic association of the radiolarian chert and turbidites as well as their geochemical characteristics indicates the existence of a strong rifting marginal basin in the belt of the Yarlung Zangbo River then. The association of radiolarian chert and bedded basalt indicate an initial Tethyan ocean basin in southern Tibet during the Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous. The early Cretaceous radiolarian chert coexisting with pillow basalt in top of the ophiolite suite represents sediments from the oceanic Tethyan basin.

In this paper, we consider testing the hypothesis that all multinomial populations in the stratified contingency table are identically distributed against the alternative that all these popula- tions are in simple tree order. We provide an asymptotic represen- tation of the order-restricted maximum likelihood estimate of the unknown parameters. The resulting estimators are proven to be ~n-consistent and asymptotically normal under appropriate conditions. A chi-squared test method is used for this hypothesis test problem. A real data set is applied to illustrate our theoretical result.

This paper discusses the characteristics of coal accumulation of transfor-extensional basins in linear fracture zones on the basis of an analysis of tectonic evolution and sequence stratigraphy in the Meihekou basin. Coal accumulation of the basin occurred mainly in the accelerated rifting period of the transtentional regime and in the late period of tectonic transformation of the transpressional regime. In the former period, swamps developed in shallow lakes. The thickness of coal seams was controlled by the activity of fault block. Thick coal was formed in a downfaulted trough. In the latter period, swamps developed in a braided fan delta plain. The coal seams are thin and have poor lateral continuity. The thickness of coal seams was controlled by the migration of water channels in the braided plain.

Calibration of seismic reflectors appearing in the crust of the Chinese continent sci- entific drilling site can be completed through the correlation studies between direct evidences, such as the drill cores, and geophysical signatures; therefore the interpretation of geophysical data could produce reliable results of crustal structure and composition. On the other hand, there are two Cenozoic volcanoes close to the scientific drilling site; analyzing composition of xenoliths existent in the volcanoes and evaluating their seismic velocities can also offer information about the mantle and lower crust. After the calibration via cores and well-logging data, the seismic re- flectors appearing in the UHP belt can be caused by lithological changes within the UHP rock slice, ductile shearing rock-suites, and later fracture zones. Among these sources, ductile shearing resulted in displacement and detachment of original rock-sheets, producing some rock-interbeds of several hundred meters thick that are named the ductile shearing rock-suites. A suite consists of mylonized gneiss and eclogite slices that underwent shearing, becoming the major mechanism responsible to generate regional strong reflections. The UHP rock-slice is characterized by complicated structures and high density, high seismic velocity and high electri- cal resistivity, its thickness is usually less than 11 km. Velocity and density of the gneiss-layer beneath gradually tend to normal with increasing depth. Based on the xenoliths we can infer that the middle crust contains a lot of gneisses, and the lower crust consists of different granulites. The lithospheric mantle has multi-layer structures and consists mainly of spinal lherzolite and harzburgite, implying late Mesozoic lithospheric thinning. The seismic fabrics with different ori- gins were possible products of different geodynamic processes.
