The fuzzy controllers constructed by 2. fuzzy implication operators based on CRI algorithm and their response functions are discussed. The conclusions show that the fuzzy controllers constructed by 9 fuzzy implication operators are universal approximators to continuous functions and can be used in practical fuzzy control systems. And these 9 fuzzy implication operators except for Einstein operator intersection are all the adjoint pairs of some fuzzy implication operators. Besides, there are 3 other fuzzy controllers formed by fuzzy implication operators being regarded approximately as fitted functions.

The quasi-one-dimensional nonlinear monoatomic lattice is analyzed. The kink-soliton and antikink-soliton are presented. When the interaction of the lattice is strong in the x-direction and weak in the y-direction, the two-dimensional (2.) lattice changes to a quasi-one-dimensional lattice. Taking nearest-neighbor interaction into account, the vibration equation can be transformed into the KPI, KPII and MKP equation. Considering the cubic nonlinear potential of the vibration in the lattice, the kink-soliton solution is presented. Considering the quartic nonlinear potential and the cubic interaction potential, the kink-soliton and antikink-soliton solutions are presented.

Fossil mammal-riched Neogene strata are widely distributed in the southeast corner of the huge Longzhong Basin at Tianshui, Gansu Province, northern central china. Hipparion weihoense, a typical member of late Middle Miocene Bahean stage, was recently excavated at Yaodian along a well-exposed outcrop. Owing to the importance of the Bahean stage in the mammalian evolution and its potential for environmental change, we suggested a name of Yaodian Formation for the stratigra- phy, which is correlated to the Bahe Formation at Lantian, Shaanxi. High resolution paleomagnetic dating of the section shows that the Yaodian Formation covers the period between 11.67 Ma and 7.43 Ma, with the site bearing Hipparion weihoense being estimated at about 10.54―10.30 Ma, providing first magnetostratigraphic chronology for the Bahean Stage. The Yaodian Formation consists of fluvial channel deposits (11.67―10.40 Ma) at the bottom, floodplain deposits in the middle (10.40―9.2. Ma) and shallow lake sediments at the top (9.2.―7.43 Ma). This upward fining sequence suggests that the relief in nearby mountain ranges such as West Qinling to the south and Huajia Ling to the north was greatly reduced after long-term denudation, fluvial transport capacity was low, and finally the drainage system was disintegrated, replaced with broad-shallow lakes in which only fine sediments like mud and marlite were deposited, indicating an old stage of development of a planation surface. A remarkable shift in ecology and climatic environment was found at 7.4―7.7 Ma when paleoclimate changed from early warm humid to late dry as indicated by sedimentary facies changed from early shallow lake sequence to late eolian red clays and a former coniferous-deciduous mixed forest was replaced by grassland, leading to great growth of Hipparion Fauna of Baodean stage in the region. Therefore, it is estimated that the present high relief of Qinling and drainage pattern did not come into being until Late Pliocene in response

The thermal decomposition mechanisms of azoisobutyronitrile (AIBN) in the ground state have been investigated systematically. Based on the potential energy surfaces (PES) of various possible dissociation paths obtained using the semiempirical AM1 method with partial optimization, the density function theory B3LYP/6-311G* method was employed to optimize the geometric parameters of the reactants, the intermediates, the products and the transition states, which were further confirmed by the vibrational analysis. The obtained results show that the re- action process of the two-bond (three-body) simultaneous cleavage Me2.CN)C─ N=N─ C(CN)Me2. 2.e2.CN)C?+N2.is much more favorable than the reaction process of the two one- bond asynchronous cleavage Me2.CN)CN=N─C(CN)Me2.? Me2.CN)CN=N?+ Me2.CN)C?? Me2.CN)C?+ N2. It was suggested that the electron shrinking effect of double bond (─N=N─) in AIBN and the stabilities of the Me2.CN)C?radical as well as N2.molecule are main factors of leading to the reaction proceeding in the former pathway. The calculation results were consistent with all the experimental facts.

Geologic and geomorphologic evidence from the Shaluli Mountain indicates that the planation surface that formed in the Late Tertiary disintegrated during the Late Pliocene-Early Quaternary. At the same time, rift ba- sins appeared on some parts of the planation surface, and began to accumulate fluvial-lacustrine sediment. These are interpreted as being the response of this region to Phase-A of the Qingzang Tectonic Movement. After this, the Shaluli Mountain continued to rise in several pulses. Faulting and incision by some large tributaries of the Jinsha and Yalong Rivers resulted in several rift river valleys and the earliest terraces. Generally, the planation surface in this region had been uplifted to about 3500—3700 m a.s.l. no later than 550—600 ka BP, after the Kunlun-Huanghe Tectonic Move- ment, and coupled with global glacial climate, and resulted in the earliest glaciation recognized so far in the Hengduan Mountains. At the same time, loess was deposited in the Ganzi area of the northern Shaluli Mountain. During the last glacial period, the Shaluli Mountain approached its present altitude and developed several large ice caps, such as the Daocheng Ice Cap and Xinlong Ice Cap, as well as several huge valley glaciers. These paleoglaciers produced some of the most spectacular glacial topography on the Tibetan Pla- teau.

Based on the mixed pixel model, the vegetation fraction of Kaixian county, china, was extracted with three free CBERS images. VBSI vegetation index suitable for CBERS images constructed with FCD (forest canopy density) model principle was put forward by ITTO (International Tropical Timber Organization) was used, considering the underestimation of vegetation fraction using NDVI in low mountain-hill region influenced by soils and shadows. And vegetation fraction was divided into five categories from low to high in order to study the special variation of vegetation cover. The results show that the vegetation cover of the region is overall good, with an average of 50%. The area of vegetation fraction below 30% accounts for 11.7% of the entire studied area, mainly concentrates in central eastern Kaixian county, where is the major development zone of cities and towns; that between 30% and 60% accounts for 62.; and that higher than 60% accounts for 2.%, and mostly locates in northern middle-mountain area.

Suitability evaluation plays an important role in land reclamation because the choice of evaluation methods affects the accuracy and objectivity of the suitability evaluation results. Furthermore, it influences the decision-making related to land reclamation. An improved method, which is called limit comprehensive conditions method, was developed after different suitability evaluation methods were studied. Based on this method, the reclaimed land of the Gaoqiao bauxite mining area was evaluated. The Gaoqiao mining area was divided into seven evaluation units that were evaluated respectively by selecting evaluation factors and establishing grade standards. The results show that the proposed method is more applicable and easier to handle. Moreover, its evaluation results are more scientific compared with the traditional evaluation methods. The improved method can be beneficial to the rapid monitoring and the effective management of reclaimed land in the opencast mine area.

From July 2.03 to July 2.04, samples were collected on Chongming Island east tidal flat every two months. The research showed that the nitrous oxide (N2.) production rate was very low in the water, Chongming east tidal flat (CM) sediment was the N2. source of the water. Sediment N2. natural production rate was between -0.08 and 1.74 μmolN·m-2.h-1. N2. natural production rate was higher in the summer. The difference of the N2. natural production rate in the different tidal flats, the correlation between the N2. natural production rate and the denitrification rate, and those with the temperature and DO indicate that middle tidal flat sediment denitrification was the main process of the N2. production, while in the low tidal flat sediment, the production of the N2. came from several processes of the nitrogen cycling. Tidal flat sediment denitrification reaction was stronger in summer and winter but relatively lower in the late autumn and early spring. Seasonal change of the sediment denitrification rate was wide, from 1.12.to 33.34 μmolN·m-2.h-1. Temperature, DO and the coactions of them had the prominent effect on the tidal flat sediment denitrification.
