The new micro-structural and magnetic fabric data on Cuizhao plutou and their emplacement implications are demonstrated in this peper. The magnetic foliations develop better and the degree of magnetic susceptibility anlsotropy is larger in the margin of the pluton than that in the center,which reveals mainly horizontal compression or magma during emplacement- The mapnetic lineations are not very well developed. The magnetic fabrics in the Cuizhao pluton reveal horizontal compression like the bollooning model during emplacement near the Earth surrace. This feature was fixed in later tectonic events.

Most of the sulfide nickel deposits in china occur on the margins of platforms and their outer mobilebelts. The ore-bearing basic-ultrabasic rock bodies were formed in the Proterozoic and Variscan. The types ofmetallogenic rock bodies include ultrahasic-basic complexes related to volcanism in eugeosynclines andultrabasic rock bodies, ultrabasic-basic complexes and basic rock bodies related to deep fractures. On the basisof ore-forming processes and modes, nickel sulfide deposits of china may be divided into two major types:in-situ magmatic liquid unmixing deposits and deep-seated magmatic liquid unmixing injection deposits. Thelatter may by subdivided into four types: single injection deposits, multiple injection deposits, and pulsatory in-jection depositis, and late injection deposits which may inject into either comagmatic rocks or other kinds ofcountry rocks. Two metallogenic models for nickel sulfide deposits are proposed in this paper.

THE Yindongpo gold deposit, situated in northern Tongbei County, northern Qinling orogenic belt, is alarge-scale one controlled by the Heqianzhuang anticline that plunges northwestwards and dips northeastwards. The ore-bodies locates in the carbon layers belonging to the Neoproterozoic Waitoushan *** ore-forming periods can be distinguished: the pre-Mesozoic epithermal mineralization in primary sediment with metamorphic superposition and the Mesozoic epithermal-mesothermal mineralization related totectonomagmatic activities. The principal ore-forming period can be divided into four stages. The ore bodies consist of networked and brecciated quartz veins. Gold is mainly rich in the veinlet-type quartz veinsthat formed during the diagentic-metamorphism or syn-metamorphic hydrothermal period, but a little inthe coarse veins related to later tectonomagmatic activities. In this paper, the evolutional characteristics of palaeoclimate and oxidation-reduction conditions as well asacidity-alkalinity environment are discussed by means of the step-regression, cluster, optimal partitioning andcorrelation analyses of CaCO_3, C / P_2._5, Fe^(2.) / Fe^(3+), pH and Eh values, taking the Xiaodukou section in theNihewan basin as an example. The CaCO_3, C / P_2._5 and pH were calculated respectively using the optimalpartitioning method. Thus five cold zones and six warm zones as well as five reduction and six oxidation zoneswere distinguished. Then the inductive method was used to produce four numerical groups: 8.10, 8.3-8.4,8.6-8.7 and 8.9-8,97. The above-mentioned results are respectively based on CaCO_3 content, C/P_2._5 andpH values. From Fig. 3, Tables 1 and 2.it can be seen that the Nihewan Beds were formed mainly under a re-duction and slightly alkaline environment of cold climate, with pH values of 8.3-8.4. Fig. 3 shows that bed 35is approximately near the boundary between the Brunhes and Matuyama polarity epochs, 0.73 Ma in age; bed2. is roughly near the Jaramillo event (base), 0.97 Ma in age; bed 18 coincides roughly with themagnetostratigraphic boundary of 2.00 Ma (?). Bed 13 may be the Pleistocene-Pliocene boundary, 2.48 Ma inage. Thus geochemical zones Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ include respectively cold zones 1; 2.and 3; 4; and 5.

Based on compositive analysis and interpretation of the observed and historical data, the geophysical field characters and structural properties of the Gagua “Wedge” Zone of the sea area east of Taiwan Island and the primary tectonic stress direction and its variabilities of backarc spreading in the southern Okinawa Trough are studied. It is concluded from the study results that the Gagua “Wedge” Zone is structurally consistent with the Gagua ridge and two fault basins on both sides of the Gagua ridge, and adjusts the moving direction and distance of the western Philippine Sea plate to make the northwestward motion of the plate on its east side change to the northward subduction of the plate on its west side so that the primary tectonic stress direction of the Okinawa Trough changed from NW-SE to nearly N-S, which provided the stress source for the Okinawa Trough to enter the second spreading stage.

A new genus, Sinodictyna （Archanda）, has been obtained from amber on the main coalbeds of the Gucheggzi Formation (E2.1), Fush?n Coalfield In Liaoning Province. We evaluated and ran simulations for seven proposals for the reduction of global CO2.emissions (e.g.,those of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC),United Nations Development Program,and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development).All the proposals ignored the fact that the cumulative CO2.emissions per capita for developed countries were 7.54 times those for developing countries in the historical period of *** proposals further deliberately allocate 2.06-2.50 emission quotas to developed countries that are 2.3-6.7 times those to developing *** will seriously violate the development rights of developing *** paper clearly states that proposals such as that of the IPCC are not suitable references for future international climate change negotiations as they violate the fundamentals of fairness and equity in international relationships and the UNFCCC principle of "common but differentiated responsibilities".Comparing estimates of emissions in china in the scenario of rapid development with low-CO2.emission technology in the period 2.06-2.50 with estimates for other countries and groups,we find that china can logically and morally argue for equivalent emission rights even in the case of the strict CO2.concentration target of 450-470 ppmv.
