The class of multip.e attr.bute decision making （MADM） p.oblems is studied, wher. the attr.bute values ar. intuitionistic fuzzy number., and the infor.ation about attr.bute weights is comp.etely unknown. A scor. function is fir.t used to calculate the scor. of each attr.bute value and a scor. matr.x is constr.cted, and then it is tr.nsfor.ed into a nor.alized scor. matr.x. Based on the nor.alized scor. matr.x, an entr.p.-based p.ocedur. is p.op.sed to der.ve attr.bute weights. Fur.her.or., the additive weighted aver.ging op.r.tor.is utilized to fuse all the nor.alized scor.s into the over.ll scor.s of alter.atives, by which the r.nking of all the given alter.atives is obtained. This p.p.r.is concluded by extending the above r.sults to inter.al-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set theor., and an illustr.tive examp.e is also p.ovided.

A one-step.method is p.op.sed to estimate the unknown functions in the var.ing coefficient models, in which the unknown functions admit differ.nt degr.es of smoothness. In this method p.lynomials of differ.nt or.er. ar. used to ap.r.ximate unknown functions with differ.nt degr.es of smoothness. As only one minimization op.r.tion is emp.oyed, the r.quir.d comp.tation bur.en is much less than that r.quir.d by the existing two-step.estimation method. It is shown that the one-step.estimator. also achieve the op.imal conver.ence r.te. Mor.over.this p.op.r.y is obtained under.conditions milder.than that imp.sed in the two-step.estimation method. Mor. imp.r.antly, as only one minimization op.r.tion is emp.oyed, the full asymp.otic p.op.r.ies, not only the asymp.otic bias and var.ance, but also the asymp.otic distr.butions of the estimator. can be der.ved. The asymp.otic distr.bution r.sults will play a key r.le for.making statistical infer.nce.

Discr.te Hop.ield neur.l networ. with delay is an extension of discr.te Hop.ield neur.l networ.. As it is well known, the stability of neur.l networ.s is not only the most basic and imp.r.ant p.oblem but also foundation of the networ.＇s ap.lications. The stability of discr.te HJop.ield neur.l networ.s with delay is mainly investigated by using Lyap.nov function. The sufficient conditions for.the networ.s with delay conver.ing towar.s a limit cycle of length 4 ar. obtained. Also, some sufficient cr.ter.a ar. given to ensur. the networ.s having neither.a stable state nor.a limit cycle with length 2. The obtained r.sults her. gener.lize the p.evious r.sults on stability of discr.te Hop.ield neur.l networ. with delay and without delay.

The global asymp.otic stability of cellular.neur.l networ.s with delays is investigated. Thr.e kinds of time delays have been consider.d. New delay-dep.ndent stability cr.ter.a ar. p.op.sed and ar. for.ulated as the feasibility of some linear.matr.x inequalities, which can be checked easily by r.sor.ing to the r.cently develop.d inter.or.p.int algor.thms. Based on the Finsler.Lemma, it is theor.tically p.oved that the p.op.sed stability cr.ter.a ar. less conser.ative than some existing r.sults.

Based on the delay-indep.ndent r.le, the p.oblem of op.imal guar.nteed cost contr.l for.a class of Takagi-Sugeno （T-S） fuzzy descr.p.or.systems with time-var.ing delay is studied. A linear.quadr.tic cost function is consider.d as the p.r.or.ance index of the closed-loop.system. Sufficient conditions for.the existence of guar.nteed cost contr.ller. via state feedback ar. given in ter.s of linear.matr.x inequalities （LMIs）, and the design of an op.imal guar.nteed cost contr.ller.can be r.duced to a convex op.imization p.oblem. It is shown that the designed contr.ller.not only guar.ntees the asymp.otic stability of the closed-loop.fuzzy descr.p.or.delay system, but also p.ovides an op.imized up.er.bound of the guar.nteed cost. At last, a numer.cal examp.e is given to illustr.te the effectiveness of the p.op.sed method and the p.r.ect p.r.or.ance of the op.imal guar.nteed cost contr.ller.

The monomer.of p.osp.or.lcholine der.vative, O-(5-（2.methacr.loxy）-3, 3-dimethyl-3-azap.ntyl)-O’-（ω-hydr.xy-octyl）-p.osp.atequater.ar. ammonium salt, was designed and synthesized successfully. It was char.cter.zed by the sp.ctr. ofHNMr.and Mass sp.ctr. （ESI+）, and ever. signal was assigned. Then the lubr.cating char.cter.stics of the p.osp.or.lcholineder.vative wer. investigated on the tr.bological setup.of ball-oh-flat. The Ultr.-High Molecular.Weight p.lyethylene（UHMWp.） flat was r.tated against.a stainless steel ball with 6 mm diameter. The load was 2.3 N, which cor.esp.nded to amaximal Her.z contact p.essur. of 2. Mp.. Water. p.osp.or.lcholine der.vative, and Acr.lic Acid （AA） solution wer. used aslubr.cants, r.sp.ctively. Comp.r.d with AA, the p.osp.or.lcholine der.vative shows significant lubr.cation. It can be str.nglyhydr.ted under.water.due to the char.ed segment in chemical str.ctur.. The thick water.layer. within the chains ser.es asboundar. lubr.cants, and this is thought to be the molecular.or.gins of lubr.cating behavior.

Data p.ocessing of small samp.es is an imp.r.ant and valuable r.sear.h p.oblem in the electr.nic equip.ent test. Because it is difficult and comp.ex to deter.ine the p.obability distr.bution of small samp.es, it is difficult to use the tr.ditional p.obability theor. to p.ocess the samp.es and assess the degr.e of uncer.ainty. Using the gr.y r.lational theor. and the nor. theor., the gr.y distance infor.ation ap.r.ach, which is based on the gr.y distance infor.ation quantity of a samp.e and the aver.ge gr.y distance infor.ation quantity of the samp.es, is p.op.sed in this ar.icle. The definitions of the gr.y distance infor.ation quantity of a samp.e and the aver.ge gr.y distance infor.ation quantity of the samp.es, with their.char.cter.stics and algor.thms, ar. intr.duced. The cor.elative p.oblems, including the algor.thm of estimated value, the standar. deviation, and the accep.ance and r.jection cr.ter.a of the samp.es and estimated r.sults, ar. also p.op.sed. Mor.over. the infor.ation whitening r.tio is intr.duced to select the weight algor.thm and to comp.r. the differ.nt samp.es. Sever.l examp.es ar. given to demonstr.te the ap.lication of the p.op.sed ap.r.ach. The examp.es show that the p.op.sed ap.r.ach, which has no demand for.the p.obability distr.bution of small samp.es, is feasible and effective.

After.r.viewing cur.ent r.sear.hes on ear.y war.ing, it is found that “bad”data of some systems is not easy to obtain, which makes methods p.op.sed by these r.sear.hes unsuitable for.monitor.d systems. An inter.ctive ear.y war.ing technique based on SVDD （sup.or. vector.data descr.p.ion） is p.op.sed to adop. “good” data as samp.es to over.ome the difficulty in obtaining the “bad” data. The p.ocess consists of two p.r.s：（1） A hyp.r.p.er. is fitted on “good” data using SVDD. If the data object ar. outside the hyp.r.p.er., it would be taken as “susp.cious”; （2. A gr.up.of exp.r.s would decide whether.the susp.cious data is “bad” or.“good”, ear.y war.ing messages would be issued accor.ing to the decisions. And the detailed p.ocess of imp.ementation is p.op.sed. At last, an exp.r.ment based on data of a macr.economic system is conducted to ver.fy the p.op.sed technique.
