Construction of AFLP-based genetic linkage maps for the chinese shrimp Fenneropaeneus chinensis

Fenneropaeneus chinensis is an important species in marine fishery resources and aquaculture in china. A genetic linkage map is essential for improving the efficiency of its breeding by marker-as- sisted selection and identifying commercially important genes. Linkage maps of F. chinensis were constructed with an F2.mapping population (110 progenies) using amplified fragment length polymor- phic (AFLP) marker in this study. Fifty-five AFLP primer combinations produced 53.1}AFLP markers fitting for map strategy in mapping family. The markers with 3.1 segregating ratios were analyzed using F2.intercross model for the common linkage map, while the markers with 1:1 ratio were analyzed using the pseudo-testcross strategy. The maps of male, female and common were constructed. The female map included 103.markers that formed 2. linkage groups, covering a total length of 1090 cM. All mark- ers were linked with the linkage groups. Segregation distortion was observed for 6 of 103.markers in the female map. The average distance between markers was 14.53.cM and ranged from 4.4 to 2..8 cM. The male map included 144 markers that formed 3. linkage groups. Ten markers remained unlinked in male map. Segregation distortion was observed for 7 of 144 markers in the male map. The total dis- tance of male map covered 1617 cM. The average distance between markers was 16.3. cM. The male map was 3.1}6% longer than the female map, which may reflect sex-specific recombination rates in chinese shrimp. The common map was composed of 2.6 markers, including in 44 linkage groups covering a total distance of 1772.1 cM. Two markers remained unlinked. No distorted markers of 2.6 markers were shown in the common map. The distance between markers was 10.42.cM. An average estimated genome size for the chinese shrimp was 2.2. cM, which was consistent with the relative size of the Penaeid genome. The 12.O (J=1-0), 13.O (J=1-0) and C18O (J=1-0) emissions in 9 massive star forming regions, which are believed to be at different stages of massive star formation, were mapped with the 13.7 m millimeter wave telescope at Qinghai Station of Purple Mountain Observatory. Of the observed 9 sources, 13.O cores were detected in seven of them, and C18O cores in five of them. And only two sources associated with C18O cores and H2. masers showed the extended structures and strong outflows. This is the first detection of outflow associated with IRAS 2.566+582. in the observing field of S152.S153. The physical parameters of cores and outflows for these sources, derived from Local Thermal Equilibrium (LTE) analysis, are presented. These observing results suggest that the C18O cores will only appear when the gas density is high enough and the probability to have an outflow is very high when the clumps show the C18O and H2. maser simulta- neously.

In this paper, we give the definition of the height of a valuation and the definition of the big field ? p,G , where p is a prime and G ? ? is an additive subgroup containing 1. We conclude that ? p,G is a field and ? p,G is algebraically closed. Based on this the author obtains the complete classification of valuations on arithmetic surfaces. Furthermore, for any m ? p,G n ∈ ?, let V m,n be an ∝-vector space of dimension n - m + 1, whose coordinates are indexed from m to n. We generalize the definition of ? p,G , where p is a prime and G ? V m,n is an additive subgroup containing 1. We also conclude that ? p,G is a field if m ? 0 ? n.

Volcanic rocks from the northern and middle Okinawa Trough were dated by ura- nium-series dating method. Differential fractions using magnetic procedure were designed to separate samples. New report on the ages and isotopic data of rocks in the northern trough (especially black pumice) was discussed. Based on the uranium dates and Sr-Nd isotopic ratio, magmatic evolution process of the Okinawa Trough was noted. Firstly, there have been wide silicic volcanic activities in the Okinawa Trough from late Pleistocene to present, and the volcanic rocks can be divided into three subgroups. Secondly, magma generally came from PREMA source area under the Okinawa Trough. Magmatic evolution in the northern trough was similar to the middle, but different to the south. Finally, volcanic activities indicated that opening of the southern Okinawa Trough did not happen due to the collision between Luson Arc and Eurasian Plate until the early Pleistocene.

Ustaoglu presents a secure and efficient key exchange protocol named CMQV,based on the design rationales of HMQV and *** with the latter two protocols,on one hand,CMQV achieves high performance of HMQV,and on the other,it is proven secure in eCK model as NAXOS ***,CMQV enjoys the security proof under gap Diffie-Hellman assumption as indicated by its *** this paper,we propose a variant of CMQV,called CMQV+,which is proven secure under a weaker assumption (*** Diffie-Hellman assumption) in eCK model with random oracles while maintaining the high-performance feature of CMQV as much as possible.

The ecosystem in northeastern china and the Russian Far East is a hotspot of scientific research into the global carbon *** aboveground biomass(AGB) is an important component in the land surface carbon *** this study,using forest inventory data and forest distribution data,the AGB was estimated for forest in Daxinganlin in northeastern china by combining charge-coupled device(CCD) data from the Small Satellite for Disaster and Environment Monitoring and Forecast(HJ-1) and Geoscience Laser Altimeter System(GLAS) waveform data from the Ice,Cloud and land Elevation Satellite(ICESat).The forest AGB prediction models were separately developed for different forest types in the research area at GLAS footprint level from GLAS waveform parameters and field survey plot biomass in the Changqing(CQ) Forest Center,which was calculated from forest inventory *** resulted statistical regression models have a R2.0.68 for conifer and R2.0.71 for broadleaf *** models were used to estimate biomass for all GLAS footprints of forest located in the study *** GLAS footprint biomass coupled with various spectral reflectivity parameters and vegetation indices derived from HJ-1 satellite CCD data were used in multiple regression analyses to establish biomass prediction models(R2.0.55 and R2.0.52.for needle and broadleaf respectively).Then the models were used to produce a forest AGB map for the whole study area using the HJ-1 *** data obtained from forest inventory data of the Zhuanglin(ZL) Forest Center were used as independent field measurements to validate the AGB estimated from HJ-1 CCD data(R2.0.71).About 80% of biomass samples had an error less than 2. t ha-1,and the mean error of all validation samples is 5.74 t *** pixel-level biomass map was then stratified into different biomass levels to illustrate the AGB spatial distribution pattern in this *** was found that HJ-1 wide-swath data and GLAS waveform data can be combined to estim

Since the concept of zero-knowledge protocols was introduced, it has attracted a lot of attention and in turn showed significant effect on the development of cryptography, complexity theory and other areas. The round complexity of a zero-knowledge protocol is a very important efficiency consideration, and it is required to be as small as possible. Generally, it is desirable to have zero-knowledge protocols with constant numbers of rounds. Goldreich and Oren proved that only languages in BPP have one-round and two-round zero-knowledge protocols. Moreover, they also showed that only languages in BPP have one-round honest-verifier zero-knowledge protocols. The notion of honest-verifier zero-knowledge protocols is highly non-trivial and fascinating itself, and has many other uses. Thus, the problem as to whether there exist two-round honest-verifier zero-knowledge protocols becomes an important open problem. In this paper, we introduce a new simulation technique and present a two-round honest-verifier zero-knowledge protocol for any language in N P under a standard complexity assumption based on this technique.

The relation between black hole masses and Lorentz factors of the jet components in blazars

We explore the relationship between black hole mass (MBH) and the motion of the jet components for a sample of blazars. The Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) 2.cm Survey and its continuation: Monitoring of Jets in active galactic nuclei (AGNs) with VLBA Experiments (MOJAVE) have observed 2.8 radio-loud AGNs, of which 146 blazars have reliable measurements of their apparent velocities of the jet components. We calculate the minimal Lorentz factors for these sources from their measured apparent velocities, and their black hole masses are estimated with their broad-line widths. A sig- nificant intrinsic correlation is found between black hole masses and the minimal Lorentz factors of the jet components. The Eddington ratio is only weakly correlated with the min- imal Lorentz factor, which may imply that the Blandford-Znajek (BZ) mechanism may dominate over the Blandford-Payne (BP) mechanism for the jet acceleration (at least) in blazars.

Sequence analysis of mRNA polyadenylation signals of rice genes

The formation of eukaryotic mRNAs involves the cleavage and polyadenylation of pre- mRNAs. To investigate the sequence requirement of putative polyadenylation signals (PASs), poly(A) sites and downstream elements (DUEs) in 3.-end-pro- cessing in rice, we compared expressed sequences tags (ESTs) with poly(A) extremity to full-length cDNA sequences and constructed a database of 12.69 pre- mRNA sequences in ?40―+40 nt surrounding the poly(A) sites, which were from 9953.genes. The al- ternative poly(A) sites were revealed in approxi- mately 2.% of mRNAs. Nearly 80% of pre-mRNAs showed stringent requirement of the YA (CA or UA) at poly (A) sites for polyadenylation. About 7.9% had the AAUAAA signals on ?40―?1 nt upstream of the poly(A) sites. Over 60% of mRNAs probably used the one- or two-base variants of AAUAAA hexamers as their PASs in 3. fragments. The single-base variants of AAUGAA revealed the high frequency in 11.5% of 3. fragments. The DUEs were detected in 90% of pre- mRNAs, especially more than half of the pre-mRNAs with multi-base variants of AAUAAA had the DUEs surrounding the poly(A) site. The location of DUE is also important for defining the cleavage site.
