How to determine the earth’s external gravity field with the accuracy of O(T2. by making use of GPS data and gravity values measured on the earth’s surface is dealt with in this paper. There are two main steps: to extend these measured values on the earth’s surface onto the reference ellipsoid at first and then to seek for the integral solution of the external Neumann problem outside the ellipsoid. In addition, the corresponding judging criteria of accuracy to solve the GPS-gravity boundary value problem are established. The integral solution given in the paper not only contains all frequency-spectral information of the gravity field with the accuracy of O(T 2., but is also easily computed. In fact, the solution has great significance for both theory and prac- tice.

The fluorogenic property of guaiacol was exploited for the first time to analyze the interaction with target protein as a probe by molecular modeling, fluorescence, circular dichroism (CD) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Molecular docking was performed to reveal the possible binding mode or mechanism and suggested that guaiacol can strongly bind to human immu- noglobulin (HIgG). It is considered that guaiacol binds to HIgG mainly by a hydrophobic interaction and there are two hydrogen bond interactions between the drug and the residues LEU 80 and ASP 65, which is in good agreement with the results from the experimental thermodynamic parameters (the enthalpy change △H0 and the entropy change △S0 were calculated to be 65.55 kJ·mol-1 and 132.95 J·mol-1·K-1 according to the Vant’ Hoff equation). Data obtained by the fluorescence spectroscopy indicated that binding of guaiacol with HIgG leads to dramatic enhancement in the fluorescence emission intensity along with significant occurrence of efficient Frster resonance energy transfer (FRET) from the residue of HIgG to the protein bound guaiacol. From the low value of fluorescence anisotropy (r = 0.06), it is argued that the probe molecule is located in the motionally unrestricted environment of the protein. The alterations of protein’s secondary structure in the presence of guaiacol in aqueous solution were quantitatively calculated by the evidences from FT-IR and CD spectroscopes.

Using the time-dependent perturbation theory and the calculation formula of the single- and double-pulse absorption spectra of the atom in strong external fields, we calculate the single- and double-pulse absorption spectra of Li atom in strong magnetic field for different pulse widths. The results show that a pulse of some width can reduce the contribution of the short period closed orbits and eliminate the contribution of the long period orbits. Compared with the single-pulse absorption spectra, we found that for some phase differences, the double-pulse laser absorption spectra are strengthened; while for others, they are reduced. Therefore, we can use the pulse laser to control the oscillation of the absorption spectra and obtain the optimization object.

The effects of the substrate-water interaction on the wetting behavior in water-oil and surfactant-water-oil systems confined by one substrate which has the preferential interaction to one species of particles have been investigated by using the free energy analysis and discontinuous molecular dynamic simulations. As the preferential interaction between the substrate and water particles varies from small repulsion to large attraction, the partial drying, partial wetting and complete wetting state are observed in sequence. In addition, the wetting behavior of surfactant aqueous solution on the substrate is not only dependent on the interaction, but also limited by the maximum equilibrium concentration of surfactants at the interface.

The time-dependent behavior of a simply-supported functionally graded beam bonded with piezoelectric sensors and actuators is studied using the state-space method. The creep behavior of bonding adhesives between piezoelectric layers and beam is characterized by a Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic model, which is practical in a high temperature circumstance. Both the host elastic functionally graded beam and the piezoelectric layers are orthotropic and in a state of plane stress, with the former being inhomogeneous along the thickness direction. A laminate model is employed to approximate the host beam. Moreover, the coupling effect between the elastic deformation and electric field in piezoelectric layers is considered. Results indicate that the viscoelastic property of interfacial adhesives has a significant effect on the function of bonded actuators and sensors with time elapsing.

Abundant studies revealed that shallow intrusions of the Yanshanian epoch resulted in the mass mineralization of the Tongling region. Various evidences showed there existed a concealed magma chamber at ?10 km depth in the middle part of this region during Yanshanian epoch, from which the ore-forming magma was generated and then transported to the superficial layer. Yet the transport network and flow mechanism of the shallow ore-bearing magma, the key problem associ- ated with ore-forming process, was relatively little focused on. Integrate analysis of structural me- chanics, statistical fractal and geological facts suggested that NE trending high-angle fold-related thrust faults and the tessellated basement ones served as the main pathways for the shallow magma’s transporting, moreover, the saddle void spaces among adjacent strata in the folds upon this fault system provided the place for magma’s emplacement. So the folds in the upper part and faults in the lower part of the upper crust constituted the fluid’s transport and emplacement network. During the deformation of geologic body with multi-layer structure, the layers in the upper part tended to fold when received the jacking stress from the lower part, while the lower one inclined to fault undergoing loads of the upper part. And the producing probability of this structure assemblage was highly in- creased in the condition, such as in the Tongling area, that the mechanic rigidity of the lower layers was stronger than that of the upper ones. For the pre-existence of fluid-conducting network, the top magma with high volatile in the magma chamber transported rapidly to the superficial layer in dyking pattern, located in the void spaces of folds, filled and reconstructed them. The sudden drop of pres- sure caused the fluid unmixing from the magma and mass ore-forming elements concentration. We investigated the directed graph self similar sets under some weak overlapping condition.
