Eco-efficiency is a valuable tool for managing and solving issues involving resource consumption and pollution emission in current production *** the popularity of the term"eco-efficiency"in business,limited attention has been paid to measuring and reporting regional eco-efficiency for local government policy *** on the concept and method of eco-efficiency,an indicator system of regional eco-efficiency is established in this *** indicator system comprises 2. indicators,which are divided in to three categories including socio-economic development,resources consumption, environmental *** a promising statistical technique, principle component analysis is used to set the weight of indicators which attempts to calculate the eco-efficiency indices of Qingdao's Chengyang *** results show that the eco-efficiency of Chengyang District has clearly improved 35.1% with small fluctuation from 1995 to ***-economic development index and resources consumption index also represent obvious increasing *** correlation coefficient between soci-economic development index and resources consumption index is 0.979,which means the social progress and economic growth of Chengyang District depend on an extravagant consumption of *** environmental pressure index increased slowly before 1997 and declined gradually after 1997,due to more attention being paid to environmental protection by local government in recent *** District still keeps the traditional economic development mode with a high consumption and high production,so the emphases of future development should put on improving the improving the efficient use of natural resources and promoting environmental management *** results show that the indicators system of regional eco-efficiency is a promising method to quantitatively evaluate resources and environmental efficiency and provide an effective decision-making support for local governments.

Epistasis is generally defined as the interaction between two or more genes or their mRNA or protein products to influence a single trait. Experimental evidence suggested that epistasis could be important in the determination of the genetic architecture of complex traits in domestic animals. Acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase alpha （ACACA） and fatty acid binding protein 2.（FABP2. are both key factors of lipogenesis and transport. They may play a crucial role in the weight variability of abdominal adipose tissue in the growing chicken. In this study, the polymorphisms of c.2.92.〉A in A CA CA and c.-561A〉C in FABP2.were detected among individuals from two broiler lines which were divergently selected for abdominal fat content. Epistasis between the two SNPs on abdominal fat weight （AFW） and ab- dominal fat percentage （AFP） was analyzed. The additive x additive epistatic components between these two SNPs were found significant or suggestively significant on both AFW and AFP in lean lines of the 9th and 10th generation; whereas, it was not significantly associated with either AFW or AFP in fat lines. At the same time, there were not any other significant epistatic components found in both generations or in both lines. Significant epistatic effects between these two SNPs found only in the lean lines could partly be due to the fact that the abdominal fat traits in these two experimental lines have been greatly modified by strong artificial selection. The results suggested that the epistasis mode may be different between the lean and fat chicken lines. Our results could be helpful in further understanding the genetic interaction between candidate genes contributing to phenotypic variation of abdominal fat content in broilers.

Three s-triazine derivatives have been synthesized and their structures been de-termined. These are Compound I: 2.4-dimethyl-6-(p-N,N-dimethylaminostyryl)-s-triazine (abbre-viated to NMe-1), Compound II: 2.4-dimethyl-6-(p-N,N-diethylaminostyryl)-s-triazine (to NEt-1), and Compound III: 2.methyl-4,6-bis(p-N,N-dimethylaminostyryl)-s-triazine (NMe-2.. NMe-1 and NEt-1 molecules belong to the D-π-A type with a one-dimensional charge-transfer character. NMe-1 crystallizes to centrosymmetric P1 space group, while NEt-1 to non-centrosymmetric polar Cc space group with all of the molecular charge-transfer axes taking the same orientation. Under the irradiation of 1064 nm fundamental laser, NEt-1 powder crystals radiate a 2.order harmonic light with an intensity 46.8 times that of urea. The Λ typed NMe-2.molecule, which has a two-dimensional charge-transfer character, crystallizes to polar P2. space group. Its powder crystals exhibit a 2.order harmonic intensity 46.2.times that of urea. The quantum chemical cal-culations and tensor analyses have been carried out to reveal the dependence of the macro 2.order nonlinear optical (NLO) efficiency on the micro 2.order NLO coefficients (β) and on the crystalline packing styles.

Two transcription factors, Sox9a and Foxl2.were cloned from half-smooth tongue sole （Cynoglossus semilaevis）. Sox9a is a new duplication of *** Sox9 gene. The complete cDNA of Sox9a gene was 1 842.bp long coding for 487 amino acids and Foxl2.gene was 1 817 bp coding for 308 amino acids. Sox9a was expressed higher in male brain, pituitary and gonad and Foxl2.were higher in female brain, pituitary and gonad. The expression of Sox9a gene in gonads of neo-males was higher than that of normal females. Sox9a and Foxl2.were expressed higher in gastrula stage than in other stages. In the period of sex differentiation, the expression of Sox9a was first going up and then going down and Foxl2.was higher expressed at 37 dph. The highest expressions of Sox9a and Foxl2.genes occurred in nine-month and 12.month old gonad tissues, respectively. Sox9a gene was considered to have inevitable links with sex reversal, sex differentiation and cell differentiation of embryos and formation of spermatogenic ceils. Foxl2.was considered to play a role in sex differentiation, cell differentiation of embryos but not to be necessary for sex determination and sex reversal.

Melanin plays an important role in protecting organisms from ultraviolet radiation (UVR). Therefore, it is possible that differently colored strains can show different sensitivities to UVR. In the present work, life span, fertility and courtship behavior of wild type (w), ebony (e) and yellow (y) strains of Drosophila melanogaster were studied to evaluate their sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV). Because a range of photo- toxic effects of UVR are mediated through generation of free radicals, levels of free radicals, lipid per- oxide (malondialdehyde, MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of three strains were examined to indicate their antioxidant defending ability and oxidative status. It was shown that w always had the highest lifespan and fertility not only in the control but also in UV-exposed groups. Moreover, lifespan and fertility of e were significantly higher (P2. effect on the SOD activities. After pooling data from the control and UV-exposed groups, we found that w had a significantly (P0.05). MDA levels were increased in the UV dose-dependent manner (P=0.0495). In con- clusion, our results suggested that UVR can decrease life span and fertility of flies and do harm to courtship, which may be due to oxidative damage to flies tissues (e.g. central nervous system) induced by free radicals. w had the highest tolerance to UVR, which may be ascribed to its advantage of survival under the natural condition and at high level of SOD activity. Milk epithelial mucin (MUC1) of yaks was separated by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. A total of nine types of MUC1 were revealed in 42. yaks from five yak breeds including Maiwa yak, Jiulong yak, Tianzhu white yak, Qinghai yak and Tibetan yak. The molecular weights of MUC1 are from 163 kD to 2.8 kD, most of which are larger than those of bovine. Population genetic analysis shows that the gene frequency and genotype frequency of yak MUC1 differ among breeds, with relatively high gene heterozygosity. The five yak breeds studied fall into two groups according to their milk MUC1 gene frequency, suggesting that milk MUC1 exhibits specificities for local yak groups.

As the relative sea-level rose, a paleo-estuary was formed by the marine inundation of the braided river incised valley during the period of the lower sub-member of the upper member of the Kalpingtage. formation of the Silurian in the Tarim Basin, west china. Sandstone-mudstone rhythmite, tidal structures and bimodal cross-bedding are common in these deposits, indicating that tides played a significant role in generating the sedimentary structures and the estuary type was tide-dominated. Five depositional facies were grouped： tidal river, sandy and muddy subtidal flat, tidal flat, tidal bar, tidal channel on the basis of lithology, electric properties, rhythmicity, sedimentary structure, fossil and the contact relationship. The sediment distribution showing first fining seaward and subsequent coarsening seaward from head to mouth, implies the two sediment sources in the paleo-estuary. The paleo-estuary of the Tarim Basin is very different from other representative estuaries. The most important distinction is that there are two adjacent estuaries joined by tidal flat onshore and by sandy and muddy subtidal flat in the sea at the same time, while the others only architecture model for the tide-dominated estuary. have one, So the Tazhong paleo-estuary shows a good

Diffusion and Oxidation Wear of PCBN Tool based on Thermodynamics

The rules of diffusion wear and oxidation wear for PCBN cutting tools were analyzed based on thermodynamics theory. Dissolution concentrations in typical normal workpice materials of PCBN tool material at different temperature were then calculated. Diffusion reaction rules in high temperature were developed and analyzed using the Gibbs free energy criterion. The machining tests were conducted using the PCBN tools at different cutting speeds of 50, 95,100 and 180 m/min, feed of 0.1, 0.2.and depth of cut of 0.1, 0.8, 1, and 1.5 mm respectively on a PUMA300LM numerically-controlled lathe. It was found that the theoretical results were uniform with the experimental data, and the results will provide useful references for tool material design and selection.

In this paper, all Lie bialgebra structures on the Lie algebras of generalized Witt type are considered. It is proved that, for any Lie algebra W of generalized Witt type, all Lie bialgebras on W are the coboundary triangular Lie bialgebras. As a by-product, it is also proved that the first cohomology group H1(W, W(?)W) is trivial.
