Traditional Chinese Medicine Integrated Responsive Microneedles for Systemic Sclerosis Treatment

Traditional Chinese medicine,such as Tripterygium wilfordii and Paeonia lactiflora,has potential values in treating systemic sclerosis(SSc)and other autoimmune diseases,while their toxic side effect elimination and precise tropical drug delivery are still ***,we present multiple traditional Chinese medicine integrated photoresponsive black phosphorus(BP)microneedles(MNs)with the desired features for the SSc *** employing a template-assisted layer-by-layer curing method,such MNs with triptolide(TP)/paeoniflorin(Pae)needle tips and BP-hydrogel needle bottoms could be well *** combined administration of TP and Pae can not only provide anti-inflammatory,detoxification,and immunomodulatory effects to treat skin lesions in the early stage of SSc but also remarkably reduce the toxicity of single drug ***,the additive BPs possess good biocompatibility and near-infrared(NIR)responsiveness,imparting the MN photothermal-controlled drug release *** on these features,we have demonstrated that the traditional Chinese medicine integrated responsive MNs could effectively improve skin fibrosis and telangiectasia,reduce collagen deposition,and reduce epidermal thickness in the SSc mouse *** results indicated that the proposed Chinese medicine integrated responsive MNs had enormous potential in clinical therapy of SSc and other diseases.

In the suburbs of Kitakyushu,Japan,the inorganic aerosol mass concentration(IAM)was about 32.7μg/m^(3),with the aerosol pH of *** study the thermodynamics of aerosol when its individual components'concentration is reduced,sensitive tests were performed using the ISORROPIAⅡmodel,in which the seven control species—TNaCl,TNH_(4)^(+),TSO_(4)^(2.),TNO_(3)^(-),TMg^(2.),TK^(+),and TCa^(2.)—were taken into *** and inorganic aerosol pH after reducing TNaCl,TNO_(3)^(-),TMg^(2.),TK^(+),and TCa^(2.)responded linearly(0%≤concentration reduction ratio(CRR)≤100%,with the exception of 100%in TNaCl);the nonlinear variations of these two parameters could be observed by controlling TNH_(4)^(+)and TSO_(4)^(2.).Unexpected aerosol behavior occurred at 100%reduction of TNaCl,which was caused by the sudden increase of NO_(3)^(-),NH_(4)^(+),and aerosol liquid water content(ALWC);the increase of IAM was also observed after controlling TSO_(4)^(2.)(60%≤CRR≤100%)and TCa^(2.)(0%≤CRR≤100%),which was mainly related to the variation of ALWC driven by the response of CaSO_(4).Multiple regression analysis showed that ALWC was statistically and strongly related to the variations of NO_(3)^(-),Cl-,SO_(4)^(2.),HSO_(4)^(-),HNO_(3),and NH_(3)(P2.,1.83,2.81,0.34,and 0.57,*** highest coefficient(5.2.)was found for Cl^(-),revealing that sea salts significantly influenced particle ***,this study comprehensively investigated aerosol characteristics and inner responses for the reduction of components,which is of great significance for a better understanding of atmospheric chemistry in Kitakyushu,Japan.

This study aimed to investigate the dose-effect of iron on growth performance,antioxidant *** morphology,and mRNA expression of jejunal tight junction protein in 1-to2.-d-old yellow-feathered broilers.A total of 72.1-d-old yellow-feathered maleb roilers were allocated to 9 treatments with 8 replicate cages of 10 birds per *** dietary treatments were consisted of a basal diet(contained 79.6 mg Fe kg^(-1))supplemented with 0,2.,40,60,80,160,32.,640,and 1,2.0 mg Fe kg^(-1)in the form of FeSO_(4)·7H_(2.*** with the birds in the control group,birds supplemented with 2.mg Fe kg^(-1)had higher average daily gain(ADG)(P2.0 mg Fe kg^(-1)significantly decreased ADG(P2.mg Fe kg^(-1).Malondialdehyde(MDA)concentration in plasma and duodenum increased linearly(P2. mg Fe kg^(-1),the supplementation of640 mg Fe kg^(-1)or higher increased(P?0.05)MDA concentrations in plasma,duodenum,and jejunum,decreased VH in the duodenum and jejunum,and the addition of 1,2.0 mg Fe kg^(-1)reduced(P?0.05)the jejunal tight junction protein(claudin-1,ZO-1,occludin)mRNA *** summary,640 mg of supplemental Fe kg^(-1)or greater was associated with decreased growth performance,increased oxidative stress,disrupted intestinal morphology,and reduced mRNA expression of jejunal tight junction protein.

Dear Editor,This letter proposes a parameter-free multiple kernel clustering(MKC)method by using shifted Laplacian *** MKC can effectively cluster nonlinear data,but it faces two main challenges:1)As an unsupervised method,it is up against parameter problems which makes the parameters intractable to tune and is unfeasible in real-life applications;2.Only considers the clustering information,but ignores the interference of noise within Laplacian.

Compared to single atom catalysts(SACs),the introduction of dual atom catalysts(DACs)has a significantly positive effect on improving the efficiency in the electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)which provides an environmental alternative to the Haber-Bosch ***,the research on the mechanism and strategy of designing bimetallic combinations for better performance is still in its early ***,based on"blocking and rebalance"mechanism,45 combinations of bimetallic pair dopedα-phosphorus carbide(TM_(A)TM_(B)@PC)are investigated as efficient NRR catalysts through density functional theory and machine learning *** a multi-step screening,the combinations of TiV,TiFe,MnMo,and FeW exhibit highly efficient catalytic performance with significantly lower limiting potentials(-0.17,-0.18,-0.14,and-0.30 V,respectively).Excitingly,the limiting potential for CrMo and CrW combinations is 0 V,which are considered to be extremely suitable for the NRR *** mechanism of"blocking and rebalance"is revealed by the exploration of charge transfer for phosphorus atoms in electron blocking ***,the descriptorφis proposed with machine learning,which provides design strategies and accurate prediction for finding efficient *** work not only offers promising catalysts TM_(A)TM_(B)@PC for NRR process but also provides design strategies by presenting the descriptorφ.

The cerebral vasculature plays a significant role in the development of Alzheimer's disease(AD),however,the specific association between them remains *** this paper,based on the benefits of photoacoustic imaging(PAI),including label-free,high-resolution,in vivo imaging of vessels,we investigated the structural changes of cerebral vascular in wild-type(WT)mice and AD mice at different ages,analyzed the characteristics of the vascular in different brain regions,and correlated vascular characteristics with cognitive *** results showed that vascular density and vascular branching index in the cortical and frontal regions of both WT and AD mice decreased with ***,vascular lacunarity increased with age,and the changes in vascular structure were more pronounced in AD *** trend of vascular dysfunction aligns with the worsening cognitive dysfunction as the disease ***,we utilized in vivo PAI to analyze the changes in vascular structure during the progression of AD,elucidating the spatial and temporal correlation with cognitive impairment,which will provide more intuitive data for the study of the correlation between cerebrovascular and the development of AD.

The photosensitive PZT sols and their gel films were prepared by sol-gel process. Based on the photosensitivity of the PZT gel films, two-dimensional (2.) array of the PZT gel film was fabricated using twice-exposure of double-beam interference on the gel film. PZT gel films coated on ITO/quartz substrate were exposed to an interference fringe of 32. He-Cd laser beams, the substrate was rotated by 90° between the first and second irradiation steps. Island type periodic 2. array structures with a pitch of 1 μm and cell size of about 480 nm × 480 nm × 40 nm were formed after the irradiation, and followed by leaching with organic solvent, and then by heat treatment at 600°C for 15 min. The hysteresis loops of the cell in PZT array were in-situ measured by the online-operation of TF analyzer and atomic force microscope (AFM). The probe can be located on the locked cell of PZT array in the AFM image. The alternating voltage applied to the locked cell is supplied by the TF analyzer through the conductive coating probe, and then the test signal is fed back to the TF analyzer to obtain the hysteresis loop of the locked cell of array in the absence of top electrode. The results show that the sub-micro size PZT arrays prepared in this way are of polarization reversal characteristics with the alternating electric fields, thereby exhibiting obvious ferroelectricity.

The problem of prescribed performance tracking control for unknown time-delay nonlinear systems subject to output constraints is dealt with in this paper. In contrast with related works, only the most fundamental requirements, i.e., boundedness and the local Lipschitz condition, are assumed for the allowable time delays. Moreover, we focus on the case where the reference is unknown beforehand, which renders the standard prescribed performance control designs under output constraints infeasible. To conquer these challenges, a novel robust prescribed performance control approach is put forward in this ***, a reverse tuning function is skillfully constructed and automatically generates a performance envelop for the tracking error. In addition, a unified performance analysis framework based on proof by contradiction and the barrier function is established to reveal the inherent robustness of the control system against the time delays. It turns out that the system output tracks the reference with a preassigned settling time and good accuracy,without constraint violations. A comparative simulation on a two-stage chemical reactor is carried out to illustrate the above theoretical findings.

The drag force of water flow through single fracture and the coupling characteristics of seepage and stress in single fracture surface are analyzed,and a three dimensional model of coupled unsteady seepage and stress fields is *** model is used to the analysis of foundation rock mass of a high *** the coupling effects are considered,the changes of boundary heads have less influence on the inner head of rock mass,and the strong permeability of main fractures *** the coupling effects are not considered,the fractures distribution affects the inner head more *** the upstream water head declines,the inner head of dam foundation slightly declines and the hydraulic gradient distribution becomes smoother.A bigger upstream water level declining velocity has a stronger lag effect,meanwhile the values of stress components change more *** the upstream water level declining velocity directly affects the stability of rock mass in dam foundation and we should take into account the above factors to make sure the safety of the dam during reservoir level fluctuation period.
