A structural, magnetostrictive and Mssbauer study of Tb0.3.y0.7(Fe0.9T0.1)1.95 alloys

The effect of Ⅲ A metal and transition metal T substitution for Fe on crystal structure, magnetostriction and spontaneous magnetostriction, anisotropy and spin reorientation of a series of polycrystalline Tb0.3.y0.7(Fe0.9T0.1)1.95 (T = Mn, Fe, Co, B, Al, Ga) alloys at room temperature were investigated systematically. It was found that the primary phase of the Tb0.3.y0.7(Fe0.9T0.1)1.95 alloys is the MgCu2-type cubic Laves phase structure for different substitution. The magnetostriction λs decrases greatly for the substitution of IIIA metal B, Al and Ga, but is saturated more easily for Al and Ga substitution, showing that the Al and Ga substitution is beneficial to a decrease in the magnetocrystalline anisotropy of Tb0.3.y0.7(Fe0.9T0.1)1.95 alloys. However, the substitution of transition metal Mn and Co decreases slightly the magnetostriction λs. It was also found that the effect of different substitutions on the spontaneous magnetostriction λ111 is distinct. The analysis of the M?ssbauer spectra indicates that the easy magnetization direction in the {110} plane deviates slightly from the main axis of symmetry for Al and Ga substitution, namely spin reorientation, but it does not change evidently for B, Mn and Co substitution.

Prediction of the Extreme Values and the OptimalRatios of Triple Jump Based on the Grey System Theory

We have applied the grey system theory to study triple jumps. In this Paper we introducethe grey system theory, apply it to establish a monotonic sequence nonlinear Verhulst differentialdynamic model. Using that model and the triple jump records in recent 45 years we calculate thefuture extreme values of world triple jump, predict the optimal apportionment among the three phases,and study the tendency of development of triple jumP techniques and strategy. Every event has itsown development, maturity and peak periods. Our study helps coaches and athletes to develop theirstrategy on a scientific base. Based on the grey system theory we predict that the record of worldtriple jump will finally approach 20.65m. The distance of hop, step, and jump will approach 7.56m,6.06m, and 7.03. respectively. The apportionment will approach 3..6% for hop. 29.4% for step, and3..00% for jump. According to our calculation the tendency of development is to follow the model ofthe Russian style basically, and at the same time to absorb the advantage of the Polish style to place agreater emphasis on the distance of the distance of the third phase.

Structure, spin reorientation and Mssbauer effect studies of Tb0.3.y0.7(Fe1-xAlx)1.95 alloys

The effect of Al substitution for Fe on crystal structure, magnetostriction and spontaneous magnetostriction, anisotropy and spin reorientation of a series of polycrys-talline Tb0.3.y0.7(Fe1?xAlx)1.95 alloys (x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, 0.3., 0.3.) at room temperature and 77 K was investigated systematically. It was found that the primary phase of Tb0.3.y0.7(Fe1?xAlx)1.95 is the MgCu2-type cubic Laves phase structure when x 3.y0.7(Fe1?xAlx)1.95 increases approximately and monotonically with the increase of x. The substitution of Al leads to the fact that the magnetostriction λ inceases slightly in a low magnetic field (H ≤ 40 kA/m), but decreases sharply and is easily close to saturation in a high applied field as x increases, showing that a small amount of Al substitution is beneficial to a decrease in the magnetocrystalline anisotropy. It was also found that the spontaneous magnetostriction λ111 decreases greatly with x in-creasing. The analysis of the M?ssbauer spectra indicated that the easy magnetization direction in the {110} plane deviates slightly from the main axis of symmetry with the changes of composition and temperature, namely spin reorientation. A small amount of non-magnetic phase exists for x = 0.15 in Tb0.3.y0.7(Fe1?xAlx)1.95 alloys and the alloys be-come paramagnetic for x > 0.15 at room temperture, but at 77 K the alloys still remain magnetic phase even for x = 0.2. At room temperature and 77 K, the hyperfine field de-creases and the isomer shifts increase with Al concentration increasing.

The isotope shifts（TSs） for the 2s2S（1/2） to 2p2PJ（J = 1/2,3.2） transitions of the lithium nuclei including the stable and short-lived isotopes are calculated based on the multi-configuration Dirac-Hartree-Fock method and the relativistic configuration interaction *** results are in good agreement with the previous theoretical and experimental results within a deviation less than 0.05%.The methods used here could be applied to the IS calculations for other heavier Li-like ions and few-electron systems.

Influence of oxygen gas content on the structural and optical properties of ZnO thin films deposited by RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature

Zinc oxide （ZnO） thin films were deposited on sapphire （0001） substrates at room temperature by radiofrequency （RF） magnetron sputtering at oxygen gas contents of 0%, 25%, 50% and 75%, respectively. The influence of oxygen gas content on the structural and optical properties of ZnO thin films was studied by a surface profile measuring system, X-ray diffraction analysis, atomic force microscopy, and UV spectro- photometry. It is found that the size of ZnO crystalline grains increases first and then decreases with the increase of oxygen gas content, and the maximum grain size locates at the 25% oxygen gas content. The crystalline quality and average optical transmittance （〉90%） in the visi- ble-light region of the ZnO film prepared at an oxygen gas content of 25% are better than those of ZnO films at the other contents. The obtained results can be attributed to the resputtefing by energetic oxygen anions in the growing process.
