This article proposes a novel stable clustering design method for hierarchical satellite network in order to increase its stability,reduce the overhead of storage and exert effective control of the delay performances based on a 5-dimensional vector model. According to the function of stability measureinent and owing to the limitation of minimal average routing table length, the hierarchical satellite network is grouped into separate stable connected clusters to improve destruction resistance and reconstruction ability in the future integrated network. In each cluster, redundant communication links with little contribution to network stability and slight influences on delay variation are deleted to satisfy the requirements for stability and connectivity by means of optimal link resources, and, also, the idea of logical weight is introduced to select the optimal satellites used to communicate with neighboring cluster satellites. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by comparing it with the simulated performances of other two typical hierarchical satellite networks, double layer satellite constellation（DLSC） and satellite over satellite（SOS）.

By combining geographic information system (GIS), a new conception of “group” in which covers the complex connected region is introduced in the paper. Based on the conception of group, a generalized Euler formula and its properties are deduced and proved. The paper also describes the mathematical principles of generating topological information of polygon in GIS maps and the methods for checking up the veracity of topological relations of the map with Euler formula and general Euler formula. We have also obtained the quantitative relations among real nodes, chains, islands and groups with the formulas. At the same time, the paper introduces Whole Sphere Stereographic (WSS) projection into the GIS, and defines a new conception of “sea”. The deduction of general Euler formula and the introduction of WSS projection to GIS have developed new ways of delineating GIS topological models from plane to sphere and even constructing three dimensional (3-D) topological models.

From the view of both objective and subjective factors,the indoor air quality(IAQ)evaluation was *** dioxide(CO2)and formaldehyde(HCHO)were selected as the typical contaminants of indoor air,and the evaluation method of logarithmic index was adopted as the evaluation means of *** the recommended limits(RL)of typical contaminants CO2 and HCHO were given through analysis and *** limits of CO2 and HCHO in Indoor Air Quality Standard of china or other existing standards probably correspond to the level of PD=25(%).The result shows that the existing standards fail to meet the requirement of the definition of "acceptable indoor air quality",that is to say,less than 20% of the people express *** PD=20%,RL of CO2 and HCHO are 728×10-6 and 0.068×10-6 respectively,which are stricter than the limits in the existing *** method proposed in this paper is applicable to 13.1%≤PD≤86.7%.

A large number of buildings were seriously damaged or collapsed in the "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake. Based on field surveys and studies of damage to different types of buildings, seismic design codes have been updated. This paper briefly summarizes some of the major revisions that have been incorporated into the "Standard for classification of seismic protection of building constructions GB50223-2008" and "Code for Seismic design of Buildings GB50011-2001." The definition of seismic fortification class for buildings has been revisited, and as a result, the seismic classifications for schools, hospitals and other buildings that hold large populations such as evacuation shelters and information centers have been upgraded in the GB50223-2008 Code. The main aspects of the revised GB50011-2001 code include: (a) modification of the seismic intensity specified for the Provinces of Sichuan, Shanxi and Gansu; (b) basic conceptual design for retaining walls and building foundations in mountainous areas; (c) regularity of building configuration; (d) integration of masonry structures and precast RC floors; (e) requirements for calculating and detailing stair shafts; and (f) limiting the use of single-bay RC frame structures. Some significant examples of damage in the epicenter areas are provided as a reference in the discussion on the consequences of collapse, the importance of duplicate structural systems, and the integration of RC and masonry structures.

Where hydraulic characteristics of ship lock filling and emptying system are concerned, there are much bigger differences between prototype and model experiments. Based on the results of the prototype experiments fur the Three Gorges Project （TGP）, experiments on the feedback model were conducted of the ship-lock filling and emptying system, by means of technologies of drag reduction, under similar conditions as the operation of the prototype project. The experimental results show that the difference of drag co efficient reached-44% hetween the prototype and the model for the filling and emptying system of the ship-lock No. 3 for TGP and the difference of discharge coefficient was ahout 33% between them. The technologies of drag reduction are more efficient in the simulation of a ship lock filling and emptying system in order to he consistent for discharge, water level, time average pressure and pulsating pressure between prototypes and models.

The pumped-storage project, located in the lower reaches of the Pushi River, is in the central belt which is characterized by hard-rain, large varieties of flood and high sedimentation concentration in short flood duration. Losses of effective storage capacity in upper and lower reservoir and sediment abrasion to pump turbine with water head of 300m are the main problems in design. According to the characteristics of the pumped-storage power station, functions of one-dimensional sediment mathematical model are extended and optimizing scheme of the lower reservoir operation is obtained through calculation. Compared with physical model, twodimensional sedimentation mathematical model is adopted here to study in intake reaches, which can not only solve the sediment problems in project design, but also find a new way for sediment analysis and calculation of pumped-storage project.

In this paper, a single-column structure used as well-head platform is studied. The loads of wave and current exerted on the single-column will be greatly reduced, therefore the cost of the structure will be decreased. The advantages of the single-column structure compared with ordinary jacket structure are explained. A dynamic analysis of this type of structure is made and some problems related to dynamic analysis are solved. In order to check the reliability of computation theory and programme, model tests have been carried out. However, as space is limited, the conclusion of tests will be introduced in another paper. Therefore, this type of structure is applicable for proctical engineering.
