Evolutionary pattern of the regulatory network for flower development:Insights gained from a comparison of two Arabidopsis species

Previous studies on Arabidopsis thaliana and other model plants have indicated that the development of a flower is controlled by a regulatory network composed of genes and the interactions among *** on the evolution of this network will therefore help understand the genetic basis that underlies flower *** this study,by reviewing the most recent published work,we added 31 genes into the previously proposed regulatory network for flower ***,the number of genes reached *** then compared the composition,structure,and evolutionary rate of these genes between *** and one of its allies,*** found that two genes(FLC and MAF2)show 1:2 and 2:2 relationships between the two species,suggesting that they have experienced independent,post-speciation *** the remaining 58 genes,35(60.3%)have diverged in exon-intron structure and,consequently,code for proteins with different sequence features and *** evolutionary analyses further revealed that,although most floral genes have evolved under strong purifying selection,some have evolved under relaxed or changed constraints,as evidenced by the elevation of nonsynonymous substitution rates and/or the presence of positively selected *** together,these results suggest that the regulatory network for flower development has evolved rather rapidly,with changes in the composition,structure,and functional constraint of genes,as well as the interactions among them,being the most important contributors.

Owing to their exceptional properties, high-entropy alloys(HEAs) and high-entropy materials have emerged as promising research areas and shown diverse applications. Here,the recent advances in the field are comprehensively reviewed,organized into five sections. The first section introduces the background of HEAs, covering their definition, significance,application prospects, basic properties, design principles, and microstructure. The subsequent section focuses on cutting-edge high-entropy structural materials, highlighting developments such as nanostructured alloys, grain boundary engineering,eutectic systems, cryogenic alloys, thin films, micro-nano-lattice structures, additive manufacturing, high entropy metallic glasses, nano-precipitate strengthened alloys, composition modulation, alloy fibers, and refractory systems. In the following section, the emphasis shifts to functional materials, exploring HEAs as catalysts, magneto-caloric materials, corrosion-resistant alloys, radiation-resistant alloys, hydrogen storage systems, and materials for biomedicine. Additionally, the review encompasses functional high-entropy materials outside the realm of alloys, including thermoelectric, quantum dots, nanooxide catalysts, energy storage materials, negative thermal expansion ceramics,and high-entropy wave absorption materials. The paper concludes with an outlook, discussing future directions and potential growth areas in the field. Through this comprehensive review,researchers, engineers, and scientists may gain valuable insights into the recent progress and opportunities for further exploration in the exciting domains of high-entropy alloys and functional materials.

AIM:To report a one-year clinical outcomes of low-dose laser cycloplasty(LCP)among malignant glaucoma ***:In this prospective,multicenter,noncomparative clinical study,participants with malignant glaucoma were recruited and underwent LCP at eight ophthalmic centers in *** were followed up at 1wk,1,3,6,and *** pressure(IOP),number of glaucoma medications,anterior chamber depth(ACD),and complications were *** success was defined as the reformation of the anterior chamber based on slit-lamp *** was defined by the presence of a shallow orﬂat anterior chamber after initial recovery from ***:A total of 34 eyes received *** IOP and medications decreased from 36.1±11.5 mm Hg with 3.3±1.5 glaucoma medications pre-treatment to 20.9±9.8 mm Hg(P1)with 2.9±1.6 medications(P=0.046)at 1d,and 17.4±6.7 mm Hg(P1)with 1.3±1.7 medications(P1)at *** ACD increased from 1.1±0.8 mm at baseline to 1.7±1.0 mm and to 2.0±0.5 mm at 1d and 12mo,respectively.A total of 32(94.1%)eyes achieved initial anatomical *** follow-up,2(5.9%)eyes failed and 8(23.5%)eyes relapsed,yielding a 12-month anatomical success rate of 64.3%.Complications including anterior synechia(8.82%),choroidal/ciliary detachment(5.88%)and hypopyon(2.94%)were observed within ***:LCP is simple,safe,and effective in reforming the anterior chamber in malignant glaucoma.

Objective:This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the epidemiology of olfactory and gustatory dysfunctions related to COVID-19 in ***:This study was conducted by 45 tertiary Grade-A hospitals in *** and offline questionnaire data were obtained from patients infected with COVID-19 between December 28,2022,and February 21,*** collected information included basic demographics,medical history,smoking and drinking history,vaccination history,changes in olfactory and gustatory functions before and after infection,and other postinfection symptoms,as well as the duration and improvement status of olfactory and gustatory ***:Complete questionnaires were obtained from 35,566 *** overall incidence of olfactory and taste dysfunction was 67.75%.Being female or being a cigarette smoker increased the likelihood of developing olfactory and taste *** received four doses of the vaccine or having good oral health or being a alcohol drinker decreased the risk of such *** infection,the average olfactory and taste VAS scores were 8.41 and 8.51,respectively;after infection,they decreased to 3.69 and 4.29 and recovered to 5.83 and 6.55 by the time of the *** median duration of dysosmia and dysgeusia was 15 and 12 days,respectively,with 0.5%of patients having symptoms lasting for more than 28 *** overall self-reported improvement rate was 59.16%.Recovery was higher in males,never smokers,those who received two or three vaccine doses,and those that had never experienced dental health issues,or chronic accompanying ***:The incidence of dysosmia and dysgeusia following infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus is high in *** and prognosis are influenced by several factors,including sex,SARS-CoV-2 vaccination,history of head-facial trauma,nasal and oral health status,smoking and drinking history,and the persistence of accompanying symptoms.

The elastic scattering angular distributions of ^(13)C at 340 MeV and ^(14)C at 294 MeV and 342 MeV on a ^(208)Pb target,which correspond to approximately five times the Coulomb barriers,were measured at the Radioactive Ion Beam Line in *** data were analyzed within the optical model and continuum-discretized coupled-channels(CDCC)framework,and the results of both calculations could effectively account for the experimental *** differential cross sections of elastic scattering revealed no particular suppression at the Coulomb nuclear interference peak angles,suggesting that the breakup coupling effects on the elastic scattering angular distributions were negligibly small in this incident energy *** contributions from the couplings with inelastic states to the elastic cross sections were of minor importance within the angular range covered by these experiments.

传统腌渍黄瓜由于含盐量高、配方不科学等不利于人体健康,因此,文章以模糊感官评分为考察指标,通过单因素试验探究不同工艺条件对酸黄瓜感官指标的影响,最后应用响应面法确定酸黄瓜的最优加工工艺,研制了一款与传统风味接近的低盐腌渍酸黄瓜。结果表明,在糖添加量25.8%、食盐添加量3.8%、米醋添加量30.5%的条件下制得的酸黄瓜外部翠绿,硬度、脆度良好,口感、滋味俱佳,且最佳工艺下制得的酸黄瓜各项理化指标和微生物指标均符合国家标准,该研究有利于助推黄瓜的深加工并促进我国传统蔬菜产业的转型升级。

The present study focuses on interface microstructure and joint ***6061 aluminum alloy(Al)and commercial pure titanium(Ti)joints were welded by ultrasonic spot welding(USW).The welding energy was 1100-3200 *** Al-Ti joint appearance and interface microstructure were observed mainly via optical microscopy and field emission scanning electron *** indicated that a good joint can be achieved only with proper welding energy of 2150 *** significant intermetallic compound(IMC)was found under all *** high energy barriers of Al-Ti and difficulties in diffusion were the main reasons for the absence of IMC according to kinetic *** heat input is crucial for the material plastic flow and bonding area,which plays an important role in the joint formation.

深中通道沉管隧道部分的整体预制水下推出式最终接头为世界范围内首次应用。为减少水下操作,浮运前最终接头需根据E22、E24管节安放后的轴线偏差调整其在扩大段内的相对位置后再锁固于扩大段内。受工期影响,钢壳及锁定装置需在E22、E24管节轴线偏差测量前完成制造,钢结构焊接、最终接头及扩大段钢壳注浆、最终接头推退试验均会对锁定装置的安装精度有一定影响,进而影响最终接头的锁固。为满足施工需求,对可适应横向±5cm、纵向±1 cm、垂向±1 cm三向对接偏差的临时锁定装置进行了设计研究。该锁定装置在深中通道最终接头浮运阶段得到了成功应用,有效节约了沉管安装窗口期时间。该临时锁定装置可为类似工装设备的设计提供借鉴和参考。
