This study predicts the cash holdings policy of Turkish firms,given the 20 selected features with machine learning algorithm methods.211 listed firms in the Borsa Istanbul are analyzed over the period between 2006 and *** linear regression(MLR),k-nearest neighbors(KNN),support vector regression(SVR),decision trees(DT),extreme gradient boosting algorithm(XGBoost)and multi-layer neural networks(MLNN)are used for *** reveal that MLR,KNN,and SVR provide high root mean square error(RMSE)and low R2 ***,more complex algorithms,such as DT and especially XGBoost,derive higher accuracy with a 0.73 R 2 ***,using advanced machine learning algorithms,we may predict cash holdings considerably.

With the latest developments in the wireless communication systems, the alternative design methodologies are required for the broadband design of microwave components. In this paper, a compact broad band pass filter(BPF) design is introduced through the microwave design technique based on the active inductor(AIN) with the numerical computation and experimental measurement studies. The proposed AIN based BPF has operating frequency band extending from 0.8 GHz to 2.7GHz in compact size with high selectivity in comparison to conventional LC based BPF. The experimental measurement results agree well with the numerical computation results. The proposed AIN based BPF design has technical capability to be conveniently tuned to operate at different frequency bands.

A highland reservoir in the West Black Sea region of Turkey which belongs to the Mediterranean climatic zone was *** littoral and profundal zones were sampled from October 2009 to September 2010,to determine taxonomic composition,biodiversity and abundance of benthic invertebrates as well as the seasonal variation of these measures.A total of 35 taxa were identified,of which 12 belong to Chironomidae and 10 to Oligochaeta *** highest diversity and abundance of benthic macroinvertebrates were found at the littoral *** showed significant positive correlations with water temperature and NO_2 and NO_3 concentrations,and negative correlation with dissolved oxygen.

Etiology of granulomatous inflammation:A retrospective study of 174 children in a tertiary care center

Objective:To investigate granulomatous inflammation etiology based on clinical history and ancillary ***:Children aged<18 years with biopsy proven granulomatous lesions in any tissue specimens between January 2014 and January 2022 were included in the *** diagnosis was based on the results of immunohistochemical staining,molecular tests,culture,serology,radiological and other auxiliary laboratory *** were categorized into infectious and noninfectious ***:In total,174 patients with granulomatosis inflammation confirmed by histopathology were *** 59.2%patients were males,and the median age was 4.48(IQR 2.36-6.39)years(range:16 months-18 years).The tissues/organs that were most commonly biopsied were lymph node,bone,skin,and lung(51.1%,17.8%,9.2%,and 5.7%,respectively).Infectious and non-infectious causes were identified in 73.0%and 12.6%patients,respectively,in terms of granulomatosis inflammation etiology;however,no cause was identified in 14.4%*** most common infectious cause was tuberculosis(in 51.7%patients),followed by toxoplasmosis,aspergillosis,mucormycosis,leishmaniasis,and cat-scratch disease(in 8.6%,5.7%,1.7%,1.7%,and 1.1%patients,respectively).The common non-infectious cause was chronic granulomatous *** evaluation revealed granulomatosis inflammation in 33.3%patients,necrotizing granulomatosis inflammation in 30.5%patients,and caseating granulomatosis inflammation in 12.1%*** the pathology results of patients with and without tuberculosis were compared,the incidence of caseating granulomatosis inflammation(P=0.003)and necrotizing granulomatosis inflammation(P=0.005)was higher in patients with ***:Chronic granulomatous disease is the most common non-infectious cause in ***,primary or secondary immune deficiencies may cause granulomatosis inflammation,especially in pediatric patients.

AIM:To evaluate the retinochoroidal microvascular circulation and anatomical structure of diabetic and nondiabetic patients with epiretinal membrane(ERM)with the help of optical coherence tomography angiography(OCT-A)and compare them with healthy control ***:In this prospective,cross-sectional study,a total of 165 eyes were evaluated,including 50 eyes of patients with diabetic ERM,54 eyes of idiopathic ERM(iERM)patients,and 61 eyes of healthy *** and disc angiography was performed by *** vessel density(VD)ratio was evaluated by dividing the VD of the foveal region by the VD of the parafoveal *** calculations were evaluated at the 95%confidence ***:Macula superficial VD values of ERM cases were lower than that in the control group,while foveal VD was higher in ERM *** deep VD values of ERM cases were lower in all quadrants,except the *** width of the foveal avascular zone(FAZ)area was significantly lower in the ERM groups,and the FAZ width was lowest in iERM *** superficial VD ratio was significantly higher in the ERM groups,but there was no significant difference between ERM *** deep VD ratio was significantly higher in the iERM group than in the control ***:Diabetic and idiopathic ERMs differ in their mechanism of formation and clinical presentation,as well as their effect on retinal vascular *** the relationship of increase of retinal thickness with vascular integrity can be demonstrated with OCT-A,then,OCT-A can be used as a guide for ERM prognosis.

Schiff base monomers [2-（4-bromobenzylideneamino）phenol and 2-（4-bromobenzylideneamino）-5-methylphenol] were synthesized by the condensation reaction of 4-bromobenzaldehyde with aromatic aminophenols. Then, the monomers were converted to their polyphenol derivatives by oxidative polycondensation reactions （OP） in an aqueous alkaline medium. The structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by solubility tests, FT-IR, NMR, TG-DTA, DSC and SEC techniques. The HOMO-LUMO energy levels and electrochemical （E＇g） and optical （Eg） band gaps were calculated from cyclic voltammetry （CV） and UV-Vis measurements, respectively. Cyclic voltammetry （CV） was used to determine the electrochemical oxidation-reduction characteristics. Optical properties were investigated by UV-Vis and fluorescence analyses. Solid state electrical conductivities were measured on polymer films by four point probe technique using a Keithley 2400 electrometer. The effects of electron-donating （--CH3） group at p-position of --NH2 group in aminophenol on electrochemical and thermal properties were also discussed. Photoluminescence （PL） properties of the synthesized materials were determined in solution forms using different solvents. Fluorescence measurements were carried out in various concentrated solutions to determine the optimum concentrations to obtain the maximal PL intensities.

Objective:To investigate the clinical symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients with and without B.1.1.7 ***:This retrospective observational study included COVID-19 patients who were divided into two groups,the mutation and the non-mutation *** characteristics,clinical characteristics,laboratory parameters,and mortality rates were recorded and compared between the two ***:A total of 196 patients were included in the *** relationship between the mutant virus status and sex,age,comorbidity,survival status,and disease severity was not significant(P>0.05).No significant differences were found in duration of hospitalization between the mutation and the non-mutation group(P>0.05).However,there was a statistically significant difference between patients with and without mutant viruses in hemoglobin,mean platelet volume,procalcitonin,low density lipoprotein,iron-binding capacity,potassium,calcium,C-reactive protein,folate,creatine kinase myocardial band,D-dimer,and international normalized ratio(P<0.05).Conclusions:No significant difference is found in mortality rate,disease severity or duration of hospitalization between the patients with and without variant *** monitoring of COVID-19 patients is required for all variants.

Objective:To investigate the effects of perioperative goal-directed fluid therapy(GDFT)on intraoperative fluid balance,postoperative morbidity,and ***:This is a prospective randomized study,and 90 patients who underwent elective open gastrointestinal cancer surgery between April 2017 and May 2018 were *** were randomized into 2 groups that received liberal fluid therapy(the LFT group,n=45)and goal-directed fluid therapy(the GDFT group,n=45).Patients’Colorectal Physiologic and Operative Severity Score for the enUmeration of Mortality and Morbidity(CR-POSSUM)physiological score,Charlson Comorbidity Index(CCI),perioperative vasopressor and inotrope use,postoperative AKIN classification,postoperative intensive care unit(ICU)hospitalization,hospital stay,and 30-day mortality were ***:The volume of crystalloid used perioperatively and the total volume of fluid were significantly lower in the GDFT group compared to the LFT group(P0.05).Conclusion:Although GDFT was demonstrated to be a good alternative method to LFT in open gastrointestinal cancer surgery,and it can prevent perioperative fluid overload,and the postoperative results are comparable in the two groups.
