The Last Glacial-Interglacial Transition is one of the most intensively studied periods in Earth History. The rapid climate and environmental changes that occurred during the transition can be used to test ideas about the functioning of our climate system. The stratigraphy of this period has been thoroughly investigated and, in particular, the recently proposed event stratigraphy for the Last Glacial-Interglacial Transition based on the Greenland ice core records serves as a tool for synchronisation of records from the ice, marine and terrestrial environment.

We present a study on n-type ternary InGaN layers grown by atmospheric pressure metalorganic vapour phase epitaxy （MOVPE） on GaN template/（0001） sapphire substrate. An investigation of the different growth conditions on n-type InxGa1-xN （x = 0.06 -- 0.135） alloys was done for a series of five samples. The structural, electrical and optical properties were characteriz.d by high resolution x-ray diffraction （HRXRD）, Hall effect and photolumineseence （PL）. Experimental results showed that different growth conditions, namely substrate rotation （SR） and change of total H2 flow （THF）, strongly affect the properties of InGaN layers. This case can be clearly observed from the analytical results. When the SR speed decreased, the HRXRD scan peak of the samples shifted along a higher angle. Therefore, increasing the SR speed changed important structural properties of InGaN alloys such as peak broadening, values of strain, lattice parameters and defects including tilt, twist and dislocation density. From PL results it is observed that the growth conditions can be changed to control the emission wavelength and it is possible to shift the emission wavelength towards the green. Hall effect measurement has shown that the resistivity of the samples changes dramatically when THF changes.

Cells are surrounded by a double-layered phospholipid cell membrane responsible for the isolation of intracellular contents, active regulation of uptake from the extracellular environment, and intercellular connection and communication. These cell membranes must be intact and functionally active for cell survival and biological functioning. Compromised damage repair mechanisms usually result in impaired cellular homeostasis, leading to early or late problems. Chronic myopathies, certain myocardial diseases, aging, and acute or chronic neurodegenerative diseases (like Parkinson and Alz.eimer) are directly related to cell membrane damage. This study examined the effect of a cholesterol-loaded nanoparticle (methyl-beta cyclodextrin) or the silk protein sericin on cell membrane and DNA integrity and cell viability in an in vitro cell damage model (froz.n-thawed rabbit sperm cells). The cells were stored in liquid nitrogen (-196°C), thawed in small batches, and treated with cholesterol-loaded cyclodextrin or sericin before incubation at 35°C for 4 hours. Cell membrane integrity, DNA damage, and viability rates were assessed immediately after thawing and after the incubation period. The administration of sericin and cholesterol in a cell damage model increased cell survival and reduced DNA damage over a 4-hour post-thaw incubation period, suggesting their potential use as a “first aid” intervention at the cellular level.

We investigated the effects of precommercial thinning(PCT)applied at different levels on the growth parameters of natural Anatolian black pine *** experimental site was located in the province of Isparta in southern *** was set up using a randomiz.d complete block design with three replicates and three treatments(control,2–2.5 m×–2.5 m and 3–3.5 m×–3.5 m spacing).The experimental plots were established in March *** the end of the growing seasons for three years(2014–2016),growth parameters such as diameter,height and crown radius were *** was found to be significantly effective on diameter,height,individual tree basal area,and crown radius increment at the end of the third year(p<0.05).While diameter,individual tree basal area and crown radius increment increased with increasing PCT intensity,height increment was higher in control than *** the PCT treatments applied with 3–3.5 m spacing affected individual tree development positively,we need long-term results on wood quality and *** to the short-term results,it is thought that it is better to lower the stand closeness gradually,so,it may be advisable to apply PCT by 2–2.5 m×–2.5 m spacing.
