Multiparty simultaneous quantum identity authentication with secret sharing

Two multiparty simultaneous quantum identity authentication (MSQIA) protocols based on secret sharing are presented. All the users can be authenticated by a trusted third party (TTP) simultaneously. In the first protocol,the TTP shares a random key K with all the users using quantum secret sharing. The ith share acts as the authentication key of the ith user. When it is necessary to perform MSQIA,the TTP generates a random number R secretly and sends a sequence of single photons encoded with K and R to all the users. According to his share,each user performs the corresponding unitary operations on the single photon sequence sequentially. At last,the TTP can judge whether the impersonator exists. The sec-ond protocol is a modified version with a circular structure. The two protocols can be efficiently used for MSQIA in a network. They are feasible with current technol-ogy.

Phototoxic effect of UVR on wild type, ebony and yellow mutants of Drosophila melanogaster: Life Span, fertility, courtship and biochemical aspects

Melanin plays an important role in protecting organisms from ultraviolet radiation (UVR). Therefore, it is possible that differently colored strains can show different sensitivities to UVR. In the present work, life span, fertility and courtship behavior of wild type (w), ebony (e) and yellow (y) strains of Drosophila melanogaster were studied to evaluate their sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV). Because a range of photo- toxic effects of UVR are mediated through generation of free radicals, levels of free radicals, lipid per- oxide (malondialdehyde, MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of three strains were examined to indicate their antioxidant defending ability and oxidative status. It was shown that w always had the highest lifespan and fertility not only in the control but also in UV-exposed groups. Moreover, lifespan and fertility of e were significantly higher (P5.min UV. And there were more significant changes of EPR signals in y than in w and e. UVR had no significant (P=0.1782. effect on the SOD activities. After pooling data from the control and UV-exposed groups, we found that w had a significantly (P5. higher level of SOD activity, but e and y were nearly at the same levels (P>0.05.. MDA levels were increased in the UV dose-dependent manner (P=0.0495.. In con- clusion, our results suggested that UVR can decrease life span and fertility of flies and do harm to courtship, which may be due to oxidative damage to flies tissues (e.g. central nervous system) induced by free radicals. w had the highest tolerance to UVR, which may be ascribed to its advantage of survival under the natural condition and at high level of SOD activity. On a Boolean-valued Model of the Strict Implication System(Continuous)

The reference [4] proved the consistency of S1 and S2.among Lewis' five strict implication systems in the modal logic by using the method of the Boolean-valued model. But, in this method, the consistency of S3, S4 and S5.in Lewis' five strict implication systems is not decided. This paper makes use of the properties: (1) the equivalence of the modal systems S3 and P3, S4 and P4; (2. the modal systems P3 and P4 all contained the modal axiom T(□p → p); (3) the modal axiom T is correspondence to the reflexive property in VB. Hence, the paper proves: (a) ‖As31‖ = 1; (b) ‖AS41‖ = 1; (c) ‖AS5.‖ = 1 in the model(where B is a complete Boolean algebra, R is reflexive property in VB). Therefore, the paper finally proves that the Boolean-valued model VB of the ZFC axiom system in set theory is also a Boolean-valued model of Lewis' the strict implication system S3, S4 and S5.

Development of Temperature-Humidity Independent Control Air-Conditioning Unit for Residential Buildings

Cooling panels are increasingly used in domestic residential *** provide medium temperature cold water for the cooling panel,and dehumidify the indoor air simultaneously,a new kind of temperature-humidity independent control air-conditioning unit was developed for single residential house by utilizing multi-variable ***,the supply air temperature was studied to determine the proper supply air flow rate for the humidity ***,the energy consumption of different temperature-humidity independent control systems was *** analysis indicates that unity evaporating temperature can be used to handle the moisture load and sensible heat load in two *** the unit scheme was put *** evaporators were used to produce medium temperature water and dry air separately,and electric expansion valves were used to control the refrigerant distribution between the two ***,experimental work was carried out to investigate the influence of compressor frequency,refrigerant distribution on the dehumidification capacity,energy efficiency and refrigeration *** the end,the paper concludes that both compressor frequency and refrigerant distribution can control the dehumidification capacity,but the former influences the EER more than the latter,while the latter influences the refrigeration capacity more than the *** can find a proper running point at certain sensible and latent cooling load by adjusting both compressor frequency and electric expansion *** energy consumption of this kind of unit was estimated and compared with present room air conditioners,which shows that it can save about 41% cooling energy consumption.

It is studied that Rhus vernicifera laccase catalyzed oxidation of 2. disubstituted ferrocene and its metal complexes, π-arene-π-cyclopentadienyliron derivatives and metal meso-(tetra-4-sulfanatophenyl)porphyrin in the diethylene glycol monobutyl ether (DGBE)/phosphate buffer (V/V, 1/5.. It is found that 1,1′-bishydroxylmethyl ferrocene etc 16 compounds are new substrates of laccase. The relation of structure and function of substrates is discussed. The affective factors of laccase-catalyzed oxidation of 1,1′-bishydroxyl-methyl ferrocene—pH, temperature, substrate concentration, laccase quantity and surfactant were investigated further.

An algorithm for solving the graph isomorphism problem with 3-D DNA structures is proposed in this paper. The k-armed branched junction molecules are used to code k-degree vertices. Double stranded molecules are used to code edges. Then the molecules are mixed in a tube to be ligated. The result can be detected by gel electrophoresis. The time complexity of the algorithm is O(n2., where n is the number of vertices of the graph.

Drag reduction of flow boiling with polymer additives

The drag reducing effect of polymer additive aqueous solution was investigated in flow boiling, and the polymer additives were two kinds of polyacrylamide (PAM) with relative molecular mass about 2.5.×10 6 and 8.5.×10 6. The frictional pressure drop was calculated according to the measured total pressure drop. The results show that the flow drag of flow boiling is reduced by adding a small amount of PAM to water when heat flux is in the range of 15.1 kW·m -2.to 47.0 kW·m -2., when the mass fraction of PAM is higher than 2.0×10 -5., the drag reducing effect is obvious. Drag reducing effect of PAM, whose relative molecular mass is 8.5.×10 6, is slightly better than that of 2.5.×10 6 at the same mass fraction, and the greater the flow rate of the additive solution, the better the effect of the drag reduction.

In this paper,it is pointed out that the descriptions of alloy phase structures are dependent on structural unit *** the systematic science of alloys(SSA),the alloy phase structures are described by means of the symmetry element sequence combining with characteristic atom *** is named the characteristic atom arranging structure,which can display the characteristic atoms at the lattice sites and the micro-inhomogeneity,besides the *** characteristic atom has its own characters:neighboring configuration,potential energy,volume and electronic *** micro-inhomogeneity of alloy phases can be described by concentrations and short-range ordered parameters of characteristic *** differences between the electronic structures of alloy phases and electronic structures of characteristic atoms in the alloy phases are also discussed.

NMDA and AMPA receptors mediate intracellular calcium increase in rat cortical astrocytes

AIM: To study the effect of glutamate on the intracellular calcium signal of pure cultured rat astrocytes and the roleof N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) and alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5.methyl-4-isoxazole-propionic acid (AMPA) re-ceptors in the procedure. METHODS: The fluorescence of calcium was measured by Fura-2.AM (F345.F380).RESULTS: L-Glutamate induced [Ca2.]i increase in most of the cells in concentration- and time-dependent *** 5. mmol/L induced the fluorescence increase by almost three to four times, while the effect of AMPA 5.mmol/L was just half of that of D-(-)-2.amino-5.phosphonopentanoic acid (D-AP-5. a selective antagonist of theNMDA receptor). 6-Cyano-7-nitroquinoxaline-2.3-dione (CNQX, a selective antagonist of the AMPA receptor)abolished the effects of NMDA and AMPA, respectively. D-AP-5.and CNQX simultaneously or respectively attenu-ated the effect of L-glutamate at different degrees, but could not abolish it entirely. CONCLUSION: Glutamatemodulated intracellular Ca2. of pure cultured rat astrocytes through different pathways. The activation of NMDAand AMPA receptors took part in the complex mechanisms.
