Metabolic relationships between marine red algae and algae‑associated bacteria

Genome-wide association study of grain micronutrient concentrations in bread wheat

Bread wheat(Triticum aestivum)is a staple food crop *** genetic dissection of important nutrient traits is essential for the biofortification of wheat to meet the nutritional needs of the world's growing ***,45,298 single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)from 55K chip arrays were used to genotype a panel of 768 wheat cultivars,and a total of 154 quantitative trait loci(QTLs)were detected for eight traits under three environments by genome-wide association study(GWAS).Three QTLs(qMn-3B.1,qFe-3B.4,and qSe-3B.1/qFe-3B.6)detected repeatedly under different environments or traits were subjected to subsequent analyses based on linkage disequilibrium decay and the P-values of significant *** SNPs in the three QTL regions formed six haplotypes for qMn-3B.1,three haplotypes for qFe-3B.4,and three haplotypes for qSe-3B.1/*** analysis revealed significant differences among *** results indicated that the concentrations of several nutrient elements have been modified during the domestication of landraces to modern *** on the QTL regions,we identified 15 high-confidence genes,eight of which were stably expressed in different tissues and/or developmental ***3B02G046100 in qMn-3B.1 and TraesCS3B02G199500 in qSe-3B.1/qFe-3B.6 were both inferred to interact with metal ions according to the Gene Ontology(GO)***3B02G199000,which belongs to qSe-3B.1/qFe-3B.6,was determined to be a member of the WRKY gene ***,this study provides several reliable QTLs that may significantly affect the concentrations of nutrient elements in wheat grain,and this information will facilitate the breeding of wheat cultivars with improved grain properties.

Anisotropy is a significant and prevalent characteristic of materials, conferring orientation-dependent properties, meaning that the creation of original symmetry enables key functionality that is not found in nature. Even with the advancements in atomic machining, synthesis of separated symmetry in different directions within a single structure remains an extraordinary challenge. Here, we successfully fabricate NiS ultrafine nanorods with separated symmetry along two directions. The atomic structure of the nanorod exhibits rotational symmetry in the radial direction, while its axial direction is characterized by divergent translational symmetry, surpassing the conventional crystalline structures known to date. It does not fit the traditional description of the space group and the point group in three dimensions, so we define it as a new structure in which translational symmetry and rotational symmetry are separated. Further corroborating the atomic symmetric separation in the electronic structure, we observed the combination of stripe and vortex magnetic domains in a single nanorod with different directions, in accordance with the atomic *** manipulation of nanostructure at the atomic level introduces a novel approach to regulate new properties finely, leading to the proposal of new nanotechnology mechanisms.

目的探讨紫铆因诱导SIRT1激活对大鼠坐骨神经损伤的影响及其可能的机制。方法将30只大鼠随机分为假手术组、坐骨神经损伤组和紫铆因组,每组10只。分别于建立大鼠坐骨神经损伤模型手术当天、术后第7天和第14天检测各组大鼠BBB运动评分和坐骨神经功能指数;术后第14天取材,通过HE染色观察各组大鼠坐骨神经病理学改变,通过TUNEL实验检测各组大鼠坐骨神经细胞凋亡水平,通过Western blotting检测各组大鼠坐骨神经BDNF、MBP、GAP-43、SIRT1、FOXO1、Keap1和NF-κB蛋白表达水平。结果与坐骨神经损伤组大鼠相比,紫铆因组坐骨神经损伤大鼠BBB运动评分和坐骨神经功能指数增加,坐骨神经病理损伤改善,坐骨神经细胞凋亡水平降低,坐骨神经BDNF、MBP、GAP-43和SIRT1蛋白表达水平增高,FOXO1、Keap1和NF-κB蛋白表达水平降低。结论紫铆因可通过上调坐骨神经损伤大鼠SIRT1表达抑制FOXO1/NF-κB信号通路激活,继而改善大鼠坐骨神经病理损伤。

BACKGROUND Inflammatory indices derived from complete blood tests have been reported to be associated with poor outcomes in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF).The data about the relationship between inflammatory indices and left atrial appendage thrombus(LAAT)or dense spontaneous echo contrast(SEC)are *** To explore the value of inflammatory indices for predicting the presence of LAAT or dense SEC in nonvalvular AF *** A total of 406 patients with nonvalvular AF who underwent transesophageal echocardiography were included and divided into two groups based on the presence(study group)or absence(control group)of LAAT or dense *** indices,including the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),platelet–tolymphocyte ratio(PLR),and lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio(LMR),were calculated from complete blood *** associations of inflammatory indices RESULTS LAAT and dense SEC were detected in 11(2.7%)and 42(10.3%)patients,*** PLR only showed an association with LAAT/dense SEC in the univariate *** NLR(odds ratio[OR]=1.48,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.11-1.98,P=0.007)and reduced LMR(OR=0.59,95%CI:0.41-0.83,P=0.003)were found to be independent risk factors for the presence of LAAT/dense *** areas under the NLR and LMR curves for predicting LAAT/dense SEC were 0.73(95%CI:0.66-0.80,P3(95%CI:0.65-0.81,P<0.001),respectively,while the cutoff values were 2.8(sensitivity:69.8%;specificity:64.0%)and 2.4(sensitivity:71.7%;specificity:60.6%),*** Increased NLR and decreased LMR may predict LAAT/dense SEC in patients with nonvalvular AF.
