Optimal retrofitting scenarios of multi-objective energy-efficient historic building under different national goals integrating energy simulation,reduced order modelling and NSGA-II algorithm

Retrofitting a historic building under different national goals involves multiple objectives,constraints,and numerous potential measures and packages,therefore it is time-consuming and challenging during the early design *** study introduces a systematic retrofitting approach that incorporates standard measures for the building envelope(walls,windows,roof),as well as the heating,cooling,and lighting *** retrofit objectives are delineated based on prevailing Chinese *** retrofit measures function as genes to optimize energy-savings,carbon emissions,and net present value(NPV)by employing a log-additive decomposition approach through energy simulation techniques and NSGA-II,yielding 185,163.and 8 ***,a weighted sum method is proposed to derive optimal solutions across multiple *** framework is applied to a courtyard building in Nanjing,China,and the outcomes of the implementation are scrutinized to ascertain the optimal retrofit package under various *** this retrofit,energy consumption can be diminished by up to 63.62%,resulting in an NPV growth of 151.84%,and maximum rate of 60.48%carbon *** three result values not only indicate that the optimal values are achieved in these three aspects of energy saving,carbon reduction and economy,but also show the possibility of possible equilibrium in this multi-objective optimization *** framework proposed in this study effectively addresses the multi-objective optimization challenge in building renovation by employing a reliable optimization algorithm with a computationally efficient reduced-order *** provides valuable insights and recommendations for optimizing energy retrofit strategies and meeting various performance objectives.

Avatars, as promising digital representations and service assistants of users in Metaverses, can enable drivers and passengers to immerse themselves in 3. virtual services and spaces of UAV-assisted vehicular Metaverses. However, avatar tasks include a multitude of human-to-avatar and avatar-to-avatar interactive applications, e.g., augmented reality navigation,which consumes intensive computing resources. It is inefficient and impractical for vehicles to process avatar tasks locally. Fortunately, migrating avatar tasks to the nearest roadside units(RSU)or unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) for execution is a promising solution to decrease computation overhead and reduce task processing latency, while the high mobility of vehicles brings challenges for vehicles to independently perform avatar migration decisions depending on current and future vehicle status. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose a novel avatar task migration system based on multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL) to execute immersive vehicular avatar tasks dynamically. Specifically, we first formulate the problem of avatar task migration from vehicles to RSUs/UAVs as a partially observable Markov decision process that can be solved by MADRL algorithms. We then design the multi-agent proximal policy optimization(MAPPO) approach as the MADRL algorithm for the avatar task migration problem. To overcome slow convergence resulting from the curse of dimensionality and non-stationary issues caused by shared parameters in MAPPO, we further propose a transformer-based MAPPO approach via sequential decision-making models for the efficient representation of relationships among agents. Finally, to motivate terrestrial or non-terrestrial edge servers(e.g., RSUs or UAVs) to share computation resources and ensure traceability of the sharing records, we apply smart contracts and blockchain technologies to achieve secure sharing management. The effect of slow shot speed on externally solidified crystal(ESC),porosity and tensile property in a newly developed high-pressure die-cast Al-Si alloy was investigated by optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and laboratory computed tomography(CT).Results showed that the newly developed AlSi9MnMoV alloy exhibited improved mechanical properties when compared to the AlSi10MnMg *** AlSi9MnMoV alloy,which was designed with trace multicomponent additions,displays a notable grain refining effect in comparison to the AlSi10MnMg *** elements Ti,Zr,V,Nb,B promote heterogeneous nucleation and reduce the grain size of primaryα-*** a lower slow shot speed,the large ESCs are easier to form and gather,developing into the dendrite net and *** an increase in slow shot speed,the size and number of ESCs and porosities significantly *** addition,the distribution of ESCs is more dispersed and the net-shrinkage *** tensile property is greatly improved by adopting a higher slow shot *** ultimate tensile strength is enhanced from 260.3. MPa to 290.3. MPa(increased by 11.52%),and the elongation is enhanced from 3.72%to 6.3.%(increased by 70.52%).
