Restenosis is a common complication following coronary *** traditional use of seaweeds for health benefits has increasingly been explored,however few studies exist reporting its protective effects on the development of restenosis and gut *** aim of this study was to investigate the potential of seaweed extracts(SE) of Ascophyllum nodosum and Fucus vesiculosus in inhibiting intimal hyperplasia in a rat model of restenosis and its underlying mechanisms in macrophages and vascular smooth muscle cells(vSMCs).16S rRNA sequencing was done to investigate the regulatory effect of SE on the gut microbiome of injured *** indicated by the results,SE significantly inhibited the progression of intimal hyperplasia in vivo,attenuated inflammation in macrophages and could inhibit the proliferation,dedifferentiation and migration of *** was observed through immunoblotting assays that treatment with SE significantly upregulated PTEN expression in macrophages and inhibited the upregulation of PI3K and AKT expression in ***,according to the 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis,supplementation with SE modulated gut microbiota composition in injured *** conclusion,SE could ameliorate intimal hyperplasia by inhibiting inflammation and vSMCs proliferation through the regulation of the PTEN/PI3K/AKT pathway and modulating the gut microbiome.

A Low Complexity Algorithm for Subcarrier-and-Bit Allocation in OFDMA-Based LTE Systems

In this paper, we propose optimum and sub-optimum resource allocation and opportunistic scheduling solutions for orthogonal frequency division multiple access （OFDMA）-based multicellular systems. The applicability, complexity, and performance of the proposed algorithms are analyzed and numerically evaluated. In the initial setup, the fractional frequency reuse （FFR） technique for inter-cell interference cancellation is applied to classify the users into two groups, namely interior and exterior users. Adaptive modulation is then employed according to the channel state information （CSI） of each user to meet the symbol error rate （SER） requirement. There then, we develop subcarrier-and-bit allocation method, which maximizes the total system throughput subject to the constraints that each user has a minimum data rate requirement. The algorithm to achieve the optimum solution requires high computational complexity which hinders it from practicability. Toward this suboptimum method with the reduced to the order of O（NIO, the total number of subcarriers end, we complexity propose a extensively where N and K denote and users, respectively. Numerical results show that the proposed algorithm approaches the optimum solution, yet it enjoys the features of simplicity, dynamic cell configuration, adaptive subearrier-and-bit allocation, and spectral efficiency.

Long-term impact of artificial intelligence on colorectal adenoma detection in high-risk colonoscopy

BACKGROUND Thoracolithiasis is a rare benign condition that manifests with one or more small nodules in the pleural *** most cases,it is asymptomatic and found incidentally on chest imaging or during thoracic *** thoracolithiasis formation process is rarely ***,we present a case of a rare,large,curve-shaped thoracolith,the formation of which was documented on serial computed tomography(CT)*** SUMMARY A 46-year-old male patient who denied any prior systemic disease was evaluated due to intermittent right-sided lateral chest pain lasting for a *** radiography and CT revealed a circumscribed calcified nodule measuring 3.5 mm in the right lower lung *** biopsy revealed fungal infection,which was treated with antifungal *** 2 years of follow-up,the patient developed intermittent chest discomfort caused by pleural adhesions,and underwent video-assisted thoracic surgery with ***,he developed empyema,which fully resolved with antibiotic ***,he was followed up at the outpatient clinic and underwent chest CT twice per *** time,we observed thickening of the right distal pleura near the lower posterior mediastinum,and several sporadic calcified nodules with gradually increasing intensity,which eventually merged into a single calcified curve-shaped thoracolith measuring approximately 9 cm in length during the 5-year *** This study documented the formation of a rare thoracolith shape observed for the first time.

PM_(2.5) in China:Measurements,sources,visibility and health effects,and mitigation

Concern over the health effects of fine particles in the ambient environment led the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to develop the first standard for PM2.5 （particulate matter less than 2.5 μm） in 1997. The Particle Technology Laboratory at the University of Minnesota has helped to establish the PM2.5 standard by developing many instruments and samplers to perform atmospheric measurements. In this paper, we review various aspects of PM2.5, including its measurement, source apportionment, visibility and health effects, and mitigation. We focus on PM2.s studies in China and where appropriate, compare them with those obtained in the U.S. Based on accurate PM2.5 sampling, chemical analysis, and source apportionment models, the major PM2.5 sources in China have been identified to be coal combustion, motor vehicle emissions, and industrial sources. Atmospheric visibility has been found to correlate well with PM2.s concentration. Sulfate, ammonium, and nitrate carried by PM2.s, commonly found in coal burning and vehicle emissions, are the dominant contributors to regional haze in China. Short-term exposure to PM2.s is strongly associated with the increased risk of morbidity and mortality from cardiovascular and respiratory diseases in China. The strategy for PMzs mitigation must be based on reducing the pollutants from the two primary sources of coal-fired power plants and vehicle emissions. Although conventional Particulate Emission Control Devices （PECD） such as electrostatic precipitators in Chinese coal-fired power plants are generally effective for large particles, most of them may not have high collection efficiency of PM2.5. Baghouse filtration is gradually incorporated into the PECD to increase the PM2.5 collection efficiency. By adopting stringent vehicle emissions standard such as Euro 5 and 6, the emissions from vehicles can be gradually reduced over the years. BACKGROUND Giant condyloma acuminatum(GCA)is an uncommon condition affecting the anogenital *** SUMMARY here,we report an 88-year-old male patient who presented with a 5-year history of a progressive appearance of multiple cauliflower-like warts over his penile shaft,pubis region,and groin as well as urine leakage along the distal penile *** examination revealed an ulcerative skin perforation with pus discharge under the distal prepuce base,which was initially suspected to be a urethral ***,during surgery,it was discovered that the perforation was caused by a giant condyloma lesion that had obliterated the prepuce opening,with infection and high pressure causing subsequent skin *** underwent circumcision and wide excision with electrocauterization of the *** was discharged after the surgery,and the residual lesion was treated with imiquimod and low-dose oral *** Penile GCA can cause prepuce perforation and can be postoperatively treated with imiquimod and low-dose oral tegafur-uracil.
