Synergistic Ru/RuO_(2. heterojunctions stabilized by carbon coating as efficient and stable bifunctional electrocatalysts for acidic overall water splitting

The development of highly active and stable acidic water oxidation electrocatalysts is of great significant for promoting the industrial application of proton exchange membrane ***-based catalysts have broad application prospects in acidic water oxidation,but their limitations in stability and activity hinder their further ***,a nitrogen-doped carbon(NC)coated porous Ru/RuO_(2. heterojunctional hollow sphere(Ru/RuO_(2./NC)is designed as high-active and stable bifunctional electrocatalyst for acidic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).In synthesis,the key is to use mesoporous polydopamine spheres as a template for forming hollow spheres,a source of NC coating and a reducing agent for forming Ru/RuO_(2. *** Ru/RuO_(2. heterojunction adjusts the electronic structure of Ru active sites,optimizing the adsorption of intermediate ***,the NC coating and the interaction between NC and Ru/RuO_(2. effectively prevent Ru from over-oxidation and *** porous hollow structure provides more exposed active sites and promotes mass ***,Ru/RuO_(2./NC exhibits outstanding OER and HER performance with low overpotentials of 2.1 and 32.mV at 10 mA·cm^(−2.,respectively,and shows excellent *** acid water splitting electrolyzer,based on the bifunctional Ru/RuO_(2./NC,requires low cell voltages of 1.46 and 1.76 V at 10 and 100 mA·cm^(−2.,respectively,with good stability for over 100 h operation,surpassing Pt/C||RuO_(2. and most of the reported catalysts.

Quantifying the Temporal and Spatial Spread of COVID-19:Empirical Evidence from Shanghai

The worldwide spread of COVID-19 has caused a grave threat to human life, health, and socio-economic development. It is of great significance to study the transmission mechanism of COVID-19 and evaluate the effect of epidemic prevention policies. This paper employs a spatial dynamic panel data(SDPD) model to analyze the temporal and spatial spread of COVID-19, incorporating the time-varying features of epidemic transmission and the impact of geographic *** studies on the COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai during early 2.2. show that the intra-regional transmission of COVID-19 dominated the cross-regional one. Additionally, strict policies are found to effectively reduce the transmission risk of COVID-19 and curb the spillover effect of the epidemic in Shanghai on other regions. Based on these results, we provide three policy suggestions. Furthermore,this research methodology can be extended to investigate other infectious diseases, thereby providing a scientific framework and theoretical basis for evaluating the spread risk of pandemics and formulating appropriate strategies.

Biomass‐derived carbon is a promising electrode material in energy storage ***,how to improve its low capacity and stability,and slow diffusion kinetics during lithium storage remains a *** this research,we propose a“self‐assembly‐template”method to prepare B,N codoped porous carbon(BN‐C)with a nanosandwich structure and abundant pyridinic N‐B *** nanosandwich structure can increase powder density and cycle stability by constructing a stable solid electrolyte interphase film,shortening the Li^(+)diffusion pathway,and accommodating volume expansion during repeated charging/*** abundant pyridinic N‐B species can simultaneously promote the adsorption/desorption of Li^(+)/PF_(6)^(−)and reduce the diffusion *** BN‐C electrode showed a high lithium‐ion storage capacity of above 1140 mAh g^(−1)at 0.05 A g^(−1)and superior stability(96.5%retained after 2.00 cycles).Moreover,owing to the synergistic effect of the nanosandwich structure and pyridinic N‐B species,the assembled symmetrical BN‐C//BN‐C full cell shows a high energy density of 2.4.7Wh kg^(−1),high power density of 39.38 kW kg−1,and excellent cycling stability,superior to most of the other cells reported in the *** the density functional theory simulation demonstrated,pyridinic N‐B shows enhanced adsorption activity for Li^(+)and PF_(6)^(−),which promotes an increase in the capacity of the anode and cathode,***,the relatively lower diffusion barrier of pyridinic N‐B promotes Li^(+)migration,resulting in good rate ***,this study provides a new approach for the synergistic modulation of a nanostructure and an active site simultaneously to fabricate the carbon electrode material in energy storage devices.

A double-layer radiative cooling coating that utilizes the refractive index difference between layers to achieve extremely high solar reflectivity

Passive daytime radiative cooling（PDRC） technology has great potential in reducing cooling energy consumption. In order to further improve the spectral performance of PDRC coatings, current researchers mostly focus on the selection and size design of functional particles, while ignoring the optical properties enhancement effect caused by the interlayer binder. In this study, based on the principle that the refractive index difference between layers enhanced the backscattering performance of the solar spectrum, we proposed and manufactured a double-layer PDRC coating with polyvinylidene difluoride（PVDF） as the filmforming material in the upper layer and polydimethylsiloxane（PDMS） as the film-forming material in the lower layer, both filled with Al2.3and SiO2.articles. The double-layer PDRC coating exhibited excellent spectral performance that a high solar reflectivity of 98% and an emissivity of 0.95 at the “atmospheric window” band. In comparison, the solar spectrum reflectivity of the single-layer PDRC coatings based on PVDF and PDMS of the same thickness was 95% and 94.7%, respectively. Outdoor tests showed that the PDRC coating achieved a temperature decrease of up to 7.1℃ under direct sunlight at noon time. In addition, the PDRC coating had excellent weather resistance, water resistance, and other basic properties. This article opens up a new idea and provides methodological guidance for the design of double-layer PDRC coatings.

Shengmaisan combined with Liuwei Dihuang Decoction alleviates chronic intermittent hypoxia-induced cognitive impairment by activating the EPO/EPOR/JAK2.signaling pathway

Origin of tradeoff between movement velocity and attachment duration of kinesin motor on a microtubule

Kinesin-1 motor protein is a homodimer containing two identical motor domains connected by a common long coiledcoil stalk via two flexible neck linkers. The motor can step on a microtubule with a velocity of about 1 μm·s-1and an attachment duration of about 1 s under physiological conditions. The available experimental data indicate a tradeoff between velocity and attachment duration under various experimental conditions, such as variation of the solution temperature,variation of the strain between the two motor domains, and so on. However, the underlying mechanism of the tradeoff is unknown. Here, the mechanism is explained by a theoretical study of the dynamics of the motor under various experimental conditions, reproducing quantitatively the available experimental data and providing additional predictions. How the various experimental conditions lead to different decreasing rates of attachment duration versus velocity is also explained.

Integrating Bimetallic Nanoparticles with Covalent Organic Frameworks as Multifunctional Nanozyme for Colorimetric Detection of Hydrogen Peroxide and Glutathione

The controllable growth of metal nanoparticles on nanomaterials is becoming an effective strategy for developing nanocomposites with designated performance. Herein, a simple and mild strategy for the in situ growth of Pt–Pd bimetallic nanoparticles on covalent organic frameworks（COFs） to regulate the nanozyme activity was designed for colorimetric detection of hydrogen peroxide（H2.2. and glutathione（GSH）. The COFs not only offer sufficient loading sites for the uniform dispersion of Pt–Pd bimetallic nanoparticles, but also increase the adsorption of substrate to promote the catalytic reaction. With the bimetallic synergistic effect of Pt–Pd nanoparticles, the prepared multifunctional nanozyme（Pt–Pd/COFs nanozyme） simultaneously exhibited superior peroxidase（POD）-like activity and oxidase（OXD）-like activity. Using the multifunctional nanozyme, a colorimetric sensing system was constructed for sensitive detection of H2.2.nd GSH, with the wide linear ranges of 5–1000 μmol/L and 1–40 μmol/L, and the detection limits were 1.14 μmol/L and 0.43 μmol/L, respectively. It was successfully used for the detection of real samples in environmental water and serum, providing a simple method for disease diagnosis and environmental monitoring.

Lead-free perovskite Cs_(2.AgBiBr_(6)manifests great potential in developing high-performance,environmentally friendly,solution-processable photodetectors(PDs).However,due to the relatively large energy bandgap,the spectrum responses of Cs_(2.AgBiBr_(6)PDs are limited to the ultraviolet and visible region with wavelengths shorter than 560 *** this work,a broadband Cs_(2.AgBiBr_(6)PD covering the ultraviolet,visible,and near infrared(NIR)range is demonstrated by incorporating titanium nitride(TiN)nanoparticles that are prepared with the assistance of self-assembled polystyrene sphere *** addition,an atomically thick Al2.3layer is introduced at the interface between the Cs_(2.AgBiBr_(6)film and TiN nanoparticles to alleviate the dark current deterioration caused by nanoparticle *** a result,beyond the spectrum range where Cs_(2.AgBiBr_(6)absorbs light,the external quantum efficiency(EQE)of the TiN nanoparticle incorporated Cs_(2.AgBiBr_(6)PD is enhanced significantly compared with that of the control,displaying enhancement factors as high as 2.00 over a broadband NIR wavelength *** demonstrated enhancement in EQE arises from the photocurrent contribution of plasmonic hot holes injected from TiN nanoparticles into Cs_(2.AgBiBr_(6).This work promotes the development of broadband solution-processable perovskite PDs,providing a promising strategy for realizing photodetection in the NIR region.
