Generally, cell signal molecules are classified into the extracellular signal molecules (the first messengers) and the intracellular signal ones (the second messengers). Cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), calcium ions and calmodulin (CaM) are the traditional intracellular messengers, but they are also present in extracellular matrix (ECM). Some of them have been discovered to act as the first messengers through cell surface receptors. Other second messengers, such as cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), cyclic adenosine diphosphate ribose (cADPR) and annexin, are also found existing outside animal and plant cells. The existence of these messengers with intracellular-extracellular compatible functions in cells may be a regular biological phenomenon. These compatible messengers might be the communication factors between intracellular and extracellular regions or among the cell populations, and are also important in regulating cell development procedure.

MnFe2.4 polycrystalline powders were prepared by the chemical coprecipitation method. When the reaction temperature is above 80 ℃, through depositing and washing, the MnFe2.4 can be obtained directly without calcining. However, when it is below 80 ℃, we have to calcine the precursor in order to obtain MnFe2.4, which does not result in pure spinal structure but a mixture of MnFe2.4 and α-Fe2.3. The powders＇ magnetic property was characterized with a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer. The phase structure, crystal size and lattice constant were presented by an X-ray diffractometer. In addition, the morphology of the powder was observed with a scan electron microscope and a transmission electron microscope.

A near generalized balanced tournament design, or an NGBTD(k,m) in short, is a (km+1,k,k-1)-BIBD defined on a (km+1)-set V . Its blocks can be arranged into an m×(km+1) array in such a way that (1) the blocks in every column of the array form a partial parallel class partitioning V\{x} for some point x, and (2. every element of V is contained in precise k cells of each row. In this paper, we completely solve the existence of NGBTD(4,m) and almost completely solve the existence of NGBTD(5,m) with four exceptions.

Aim:To investigate the effects of the pleckstrin homology(PH)domain of phos-pholipase Cδ1(PLCδ1PH)on inhibition of phospholipase C(PLC)-mediated hy-drolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate[PtdIns(4,5)P2.by ***:A fusion construct of green fluorescent protein(GFP)and PLCδ1PH(PLCδ1PH-GFP),which is known to bind PtdIns(4,5)P2.pecifically,together withlaser-scanning confocal microscopy,was used to trace PtdIns(4,5)***:Stimulation of the type 1 muscarinic receptor and the bradykinin 2.recep-tor induced a reversible PLCδ1PH-GFP translocation from the membrane to thecytosol in COS-7 *** inhibitor U7312. blocked the ***,a known PtdIns kinase inhibitor,did not affect the translocationinduced by ACh,but blocked recovery after translocation,indicating thatPtdIns(4,5)P2.ydrolysis occurs through receptor-mediated PLC ***,a commonly used phospholipase C blocker,failed to block the recep-tor-induced PLCδ1PH-GFP translocation,indicating that neomycin is unable toblock PLC-mediated Ptdlns(4,5)Pe ***,in the absence of PLCδ1PH-GFP expression,neomycin abolished the receptor-induced hydrolysis ofPtdIns(4,5)P2.by ***:Although PLCδ1PH and neomycin bind toPtdIns(4,5)P2.in a similar way,they have distinct effects on receptor-mediatedactivation of PLC and PtdIns(4,5)P2.hydrolysis.

The aim of this paper is to develop an ordered weighted distance(OWD) measure,which is the generalization of some widely used distance measures,including the normalized Hamming distance, the normalized Euclidean distance,the normalized geometric distance,the max distance,the median distance and the min distance,***,the ordered weighted averaging operator,the generalized ordered weighted aggregation operator,the ordered weighted geometric operator,the averaging operator,the geometric mean operator,the ordered weighted square root operator,the square root operator,the max operator,the median operator and the min operator are also the special cases of the OWD *** methods depending on the input arguments are given to determine the weights associated with the OWD *** prominent characteristic of the OWD measure is that it can relieve(or intensify) the influence of unduly large or unduly small deviations on the aggregation results by assigning them low(or high) *** desirable characteristic makes the OWD measure very suitable to be used in many actual fields,including group decision making,medical diagnosis, data mining,and pattern recognition,***,based on the OWD measure,we develop a group decision making approach,and illustrate it with a numerical example.

A directed triple system of order v, denoted by DTS(v, λ), is a pair (X,B) where X is a v-set and B is a collection of transitive triples on X such that every ordered pair of X belongs to λ triples of B. An overlarge set of disjoint DTS(v, λ), denoted by OLDTS(v, λ), is a collection {(Y\{y}, Ai)}i,such that Y is a (v + 1)-set, each (Y\{y}, Ai) is a DTS(v, λ) and all Ai's form a partition of all transitive triples of Y. In this paper, we shall discuss the existence problem of OLDTS(v, λ) and give the following conclusion: there exists an OLDTS(v, λ) if and only if either λ = 1 and v = 0, 1 (mod 3), or λ = 3 and v≠2.

Based on the measuring data and Digital Elevation Data (DEM) in a typical watershed--Hemingguan Watershed, Nanbu County, Sichuan Province of china, a GIS-based distributed soil erosion model was developed particularly for the purple soil type. It takes 2. m × 2. m grid as calculating unit and operates at 10-minute time interval. The required input data to the model include DEM, soil, land use, and time-series of precipitation and evaporation loss. The model enables one to estimate runoff, erosion and sediment yield for each grid cell and route the flow along its flow path to the watershed outlet. Furthermore, the model is capable of calculating the total runoff; erosion and sediment yield for the entire watershed by recursion algorithm. The validation of the model demonstrated that it could quantitatively simulate the spatial distribution of hydrological variables in a watershed, such as runoff, vegetation entrapment, soil erosion, the degree of soil and water loss. Moreover, it can evaluate the effect of land use change on the runoff generation and soil erosion with an accuracy of 80% and 75% respectively. The application of this model to a neighboring watershed with similar conditions indicates that this distributed model could be extended to other similar regions in china.

The magnetic coupling interactions of the nitronyl nitroxide radicals bound to diamagnetic(YⅢ) and paramagnetic(GdⅢ) rare earth ions in two model magnetic systems based on novel rare earth organic radical complexes Ln(hfac)3(NITPhOCH3)2.Ln=YⅢ 1,GdⅢ 2.hafc = hexafluoroacetylacetonate;NIT-PhOCH3 = 4'-methoxyo-phenyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide) have been investigated by density functional theory(DFT).The magnetic coupling mechanisms were also explored from the viewpoint of molecular orbital and spin density *** calculations show that the empty 4d-orbitals of YⅢ and 5d-orbitals of GdⅢ play an important role in the antiferromagnetic coupling between the two nitronyl nitroxide radical ligands,and that the ferromagnetic coupling between the GdⅢ ion and the radical magnetic centers can be attributed to the nearly complete localization of the isotropic 4f-shell and singly occupied magnetic orbital(π) of the nitronyl nitroxide.

By using the perturbation theories on sums of ranges of nonlinear accretive mappings of Calvert and Gupta, we study the abstract results on the existence of a solution u ∈ L^s （Ω） of nonlinear boundary value problems involving the p-Laplacian operator, where 2. s〈＋∞, and 2./N＋1 〈 p ≤ 2.for N（≥ 1） which denotes the dimension of R^N. To obtain the result, some new techniques are used in this paper. The equation discussed in this paper and our methods here are extension and complement to the corresponding results of L. Wei and Z. He.

AIM: To elucidate the anti-inflammatory mechanism ofan intestinal neuropeptide, sulfated cholecystokininoctapeptide (sCCK-8), the effects of sCCK-8 onlipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced tumor necrosis factorpulmonary interstitial macrophages (PIMs) ***: PIMs from rat were stimulated with LPS(:1mg @ L-1) in the presence or absence of sCCK-8 (10-8-:10-6mol@ L-1) or/and CCK receptor antagonistproglumide (2.mg @ L-1). The expression of TNF-α mRNAwas assayed by reverse transcription polymerase chainreaction (RT-PCR) at 3h of the stimulation, and nuclearelectrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA) at 1 h ofat 30 min of the stimulation was detected by ***: sCCK-8, at concentrations from 10-8 mol @ L-1to 10-6 mol @ L-1 obviously inhibited LPS-induced TNF-αdependent manner, P＜0.05, P＜0.01. Stimulation PIMsP＜0.01, which was elevated by sCCK-8, P＜0.05. Thewere attenuated by CCK receptor antagonistproglumide, P＜***: sCCK-8 inhibits LPS-induced TNF-α mRNAwhich is mediated through CCK receptors and inhibitinginflammatory mechanisms of sCCK-8.
