LONG TERM DURABILITY OF GLASS FIBRE REINFORCED CEMENT COMPOSITES

摘 要:正Much attention has been paid to the research and development of glass fibre reinforced cements and concretes (GRC) in the last two decades. These composite materials came into existence as a practical construction material due to its many advantageous properties, e.g. increased impact and flexural strength, higher durability under different loadings, as well as at higher temperatures, etc. This material was succesfully introduced in different fields of the building industry, e.g. as cladding panels (wall units, window units, spandrels, mullions, and column covers), further as permanent shuttering, ventilation ducts, noise bariers, garden and street furniture, such as planters, litter bins and street signs, and junction boxes for electric cables. The submitted paper deals with the long terra durability of GRC composites reinforced with glass fibres developed and produced in Czechoslovakia,
