摘 要：正 Despite reams of data on the under - treatment of pain and a chorus of voices calling for better pain control, the problem persists. Continuous pain can be overwhelming and frustrating for most of us. If pain control is perceived as hopeless it can further deteriorate as professionals feel perturbed with the lack of progress, and the person in pain begins to feel like a failure to the system. By,shifting the way we view the situation, and articulating an integrative approach, the barriers to pain manage-ment can be handled in a better way.
