摘 要：Natural product research is increasingly turning to marine animals, plants and microbes as source organisms. Sponges are the most primitive of the multicelled animals that have existed for 700-800 million years, and are proving to be extremely valuable and potentially economically important sources of compounds useful to the pharmaceutical industry. During the last 20 years, numerous novel compounds have been isolated from marine sponges and many of these compounds showed pronounced biological activity. This review summarized the natural active products from marine sponges with antitumor, antiviral and antibacterial activity and the strategies for producing sponge biomass.
