摘 要:Obesity is the most serious public health problem of the 21st century, with dramatically increasing prevalence in adults and *** discovery of the fat mass and obesity-associated gene(FTO) as the first gene contributing to non-syndromic human obesity by genome-wide association studies has accelerated the research on novel obesity gene(s).We previously showed that FTO as a RNA demethylase oxidatively demethylates the ubiquitous m6A modification in mRNA in vitro and in vivo in a manner comparable to those of the other AlkB family
