摘 要:As language is used every day, it is often taken for granted with its power leftunexamined. In international business negotiation, negotiators may have theirattention focused on the more cognitive or material aspects of an issue they arediscussing and neglect the fundamental role language is playing in the representationof these aspects. However, if the language used is inadequate for its purposes, or therepresentalion is at fault, the whole interaction may falter or fail.
