摘      要:Land cover maps are of fundamental importance in studies of the complex interactions between human activities and global change. Mapping land cover using remote sensing is a traditional but still very active field. In the past 45 years, nearly 30000 papers about land cover mapping were pub- lished worldwide, including approximately 10000 papers published in Chinese. However, most of these studies focus on the local scale. A small number of studies focus on glob- al scale land cover maps but at relatively coarse spatial res- olutions (〉300 m).
