PRELIMINARY STUDY ON THE QUATERNARY CALCAREOUS NANNOFOSSILS OF BEIJING PLAIN

摘      要：In 1979 an important discovery of a marine bed with both planktonic and benthic foraminifera was reported and the lower boundary of the Quaternary of the Beijing Plain was discussed. Since then we have made another interesting discovery of a nannofossil assemblage from the same foraminifera-bearing bed in the cores S1, S2, S3,S4, S5, S6, X2 and T7, by which further discussion on the stratigraphy and paleoclimatology is facilitated (see Fig. 1).
