摘 要：The evaluation standard of ancient Chinese poetry and Chinese painting differs from one another: poems similar to the creation style of Nan-Zong painting are not the true poems, while the paintings similar to the creation style of poetic quality schools’ poems are true paintings. The causes for this phenomenon primarily lie in the two majors types of ancient Chinese intellectuals’cultural complex: “the writings are for conveying truth, and “the writings are for the entertainment.The former possesses the superiority to the latter in ancient Chinese culture, because of such concepts of creation and the different characteristics of the subject matter, expression style, the spreading approaches, the appreciation object and environment, ancient Chinese poems and paintings serve the function of conveying truth and of refining the temperament respectively, and thus forms the special artistic phenomenon of different evaluation standhhhards for poetry and paintings.
