摘 要:This study aims to investigate experimentally the residual strength of a sandwich composite structure with Al honeycomb core and glass/epoxy face sheets after impact damage and quasi-static indentation damage. The edge-wise compressive strength test was used to find the mechanical properties according to the ASTM C364: Standard test method for edgewise compressive strength of sandwich constructions. The experimental investigation results revealed the residual strengths and the damaged shape and size of both impact damaged specimens and quasi-static indentation damaged specimens.
