摘 要:S6-1 Novel cadmium transport systems found in metallothionein-null cadmium-resistant cellsSeiichoro HIMENO (JST)S6-2 Harmful effects of depleted uranium aerosol and the protective role of DMSO ZHU Mao-Xiang, YANG Zhi-Hua, CAO Zhen-Shan, PAN Xiu-Jie, YU Shi, ZHOU Xiao-Ying, ZHOU Ping-Kun(Department of Radiation Toxicology and Oncology, Beijing Institute of Radiation Medicine, Beijing 100850, China)Abstract:The aim is to investigate the health effects of depleted uranium(DU) material and the protective role of DMSO. Exposure model of rat was established by inhaling DU aerosol. The amount of DU aerosol inhalation in rats was calculated through measuring the DU concentration and its inhalational fraction (about 130 mg DU/rat) or determining DU contents in lung tissue (12.68±3.31) mg DU/rat or (65.43±11.72) mg DU·kg -1 BW. At a given time after DU aerosol inhalation, a series end-points of biological effects were detected in the exposed rats: ① lung was the organ with the highest level of remaining U. The half time of clearance was more than 100 d. With the time extending, U can be transported through body fluid to many organs or tissues, including liver, kidney, brain, heart, spleen, thymus, bones, etc; ② weight gaining of rats was lower than that of normal group in a dose- and time-dependent manner; ③ the counts of WBC and differential leukocytes including lymphocytes and monocytes in peripheral blood were reduced in dose and time dependent manner.
