摘 要:We read the article entitled“The presence of NAFLD in nonobese subjects increased the risk of metabolic abnormalities than obese subjects without NAFLD:A population-based cross-sectional studyby Hu et al.(1),which was published in the latest issue of Hepatobiliary Surgery Nutrition,with great *** the authors described,due to rapid urbanization and sedentary lifestyles,the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has *** this population-based,cross-sectional health survey study,in which the data were obtained from community health centers,the investigators reported that the prevalence of NAFLD in Shanghai,China grew from 15%in 2005 to 32.7%in 2017(1).To gain a better understanding of the prevalence of metabolic features in relation to NAFLD status,gender,and age,the authors quantified the risks of having different metabolic conditions between the following 4 groups:(I)the non-obese NAFLD group;(II)the non-obese non-NAFLD group;(III)the obese non-NAFLD group;and(IV)the obese NAFLD group(1).
