摘      要:Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent form of cell death characterized by an accumulation of lipid peroxides.A growing body of recent evidence supports the notion that ferroptosis plays an important role in mediating a wide variety of cellular processes in diseases.Notably,ferroptosis can play a significant role in mediating various functions in immune cells and immunotherapies.Here,we discuss our current understanding regarding the regulatory role of ferroptosis in immune cells,including T cells,B cells,granulocytes,monocytes,and macrophages.In addition,we discuss the general effect of immune cell ferroptosis on human pathophysiology and immunotherapies,thereby suggesting new strategies for targeting ferroptosis in order to modulate the immune system and unravel the mechanisms that underlie ferroptosis in the immune response。
