The ＂general problem＂ that Marx＇s philosophy analyzes and aims to solve is capital＇s ownership of labor-power and the emancipation of the proletariat. In the course of exploring this problem, Marx＇s philosophy developed three basic, organically integrated forms： the popular, the scholarly and the political. However, the post-Marx history of Marxist philosophy has seen these three forms evolve differently and meet with different fates. The situation in contemporary China can be summarized as follows. The popular form is proposed but not fully realized; the scholarly form is robust but estranged from politics and the public; and the political form is prominent but needs further academic support and popular recognition. For the healthy development of Marxist philosophical research in contemporary China, we must not only clarify the integral structure of Marx＇s philosophy but also create an ＂ecological environment＂ favorable to its sustainable development with a view to facilitating the benign interaction of the three basic forms.

The Communist Party of China （cpc） in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting Africa Thematic Event, organized by the international department of cpc central committee and co-hosted by Chama Cha Mapinduzi （CCM） of Tanzania, was held in Dares Salaam, Tanzania on July 17, 2018. That was the first time that an event of the cpc in Dialogue with World Political Parties was held outside China and in Africa. The event brought the cpc and nearly 200 representatives from 38 political parities and organizations of 36 African countries to meet in the ＂adobe of peace＂ and exchange ideas over ＂theories and practices of the cpc and African Political Parties in exploring development paths suitable to national situation＂ and contribute their wisdom to building a community of a shared future for China and Africa.

For example, today, the use of computers to create wealth and value signals a major change in mankind’s mode of working. Wealth and value were first created from the soil, then in factories, later in banks and now via the Internet and computers. This marks significant human progress.

Universal insertion of molecules in ionic compounds under pressure

Using first-principles calculations and crystal structure search methods, we found that many covalently bonded molecules such as H2, N2, CO2, NH3, H2O and CH4may react with NaC l, a prototype ionic solid,and form stable compounds under pressure while retaining their molecular structure. These molecules,despite whether they are homonuclear or heteronuclear, polar or non-polar, small or large, do not show strong chemical interactions with surrounding Na and Cl ions. In contrast, the most stable molecule among all examples, N2, is found to transform into cyclo-N5-anions while reacting with NaC l under high pressures. It provides a new route to synthesize pentazolates, which are promising green energy materials with high energy density. Our work demonstrates a unique and universal hybridization propensity of covalently bonded molecules and solid compounds under pressure. This surprising miscibility suggests possible mixing regions between the molecular and rock layers in the interiors of large planets.
