Regenerative Role of Soil Seed Banks of Different Successional Stages in A Saline-alkaline Grassland in northeast China

Soil seed banks can act as a potential seed source for natural revegetation and restoration. However, in a saline-alkaline grassland, it remains unclear how the stages of vegetation succession affect the characteristics of soil seed banks and the potential of soil seed banks of different successional stages for vegetation restoration. In this study, seasonal changes of the soil seed bank, and seed production and dispersal dynamics along degradation successional gradients were investigated in a saline-alkaline grassland in northeast China, where the dominant grass during the 1960 s, Leymus chinensis was replaced with the secondary successional order of Puccinellia chinampoensis, Chloris virgata, and Suaeda salsa, together with bare patches. It was found that the soil seed bank composition varied according to the changing vegetation and had the highest species richness(7–16) in the climax successional stage, but had a low S?rensen similarity(0.22–0.37) with the aboveground vegetation. There was a high seed density of the soil seed bank(21 062–62 166/m2 in August and December) and also high S?rensen similarity index values(0.47–0.60) in the secondary successional stages of P. chinampoensis, C. virgata, and S. salsa. In bare patches, there were many seeds in the soil seed bank and some seedlings also appeared in the aboveground vegetation, indicating the existence of a persistent soil seed bank. Seed density and species richness differed substantially among the different successional stages, which was related to the reproductive characteristics of the standing plants in vegetation communities. Due to the lack of propagules of perennial species, especially the climax species of L. chinensis, in the soil, the successful restoration of the degraded saline-alkaline grassland was not possible. Damage-ignition mechanism studies on modified propellant with different crosslinking density under dynamic loading

The study of high-energy and low-vulnerability propellants is important for the power performance and safety of solid propellant rocket *** modified split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)tests are performed on two kinds of propellant with different crosslinking density to study the dynamic mechanical responses and damage-ignition *** apparatus is equipped with a highperformance infrared camera and high-speed camera to capture the deformation,damage-ignition feature and temperature evolution images in the impact *** results suggested that the mechanical responses and damage-ignition mechanism of the propellants were affected by the strain rates and crosslinking *** damage-ignition degree is more intense and the reaction occurs earlier with the increase of strain *** propellant 1 with higher crosslinking density,the critical ignition strain rate is 4500 s^(-1).Two kinds of propellants show different ignition mechanism,*** generation,propagation and final fracture for propellant 1 while viscous shear flow for propellant ***,the SEM images also reveal the difference of damage-ignition mechanism of the two kinds of ***,the ignition mechanism under different strain rates and critical ignition strain rate of propellants are further explained by the theoretical calculation of temperature variations.

We applied KF Particle, a Kalman Filter package for secondary vertex finding and fitting, to strange and open charm hadron reconstruction in heavy-ion collisions in the STAR experiment. Compared to the conventional helix swimming method used in STAR, the KF Particle method considerably improved the reconstructed Λ, Ω, and D~0 significance. In addition, the Monte Carlo simulation with STAR detector responses could adequately reproduce the topological variable distributions reconstructed in real data using the KF Particle method, thereby retaining substantial control of the reconstruction efficiency uncertainties for strange and open charm hadron measurements in heavy-ion collisions.

2000~2017年,卫星观测数据表明中国部分地区经历了显著的地表植被变绿,揭示植被变绿对气候和环境的影响势在必行.但当前粗分辨率的全球气候模式研究表明,植被变绿对中国夏季气候的影响不显著,因此本文采用高分辨率的陆-气耦合区域气候模式评估了中国植被变绿对东亚区域气候的影响及其生物地球物理机制.研究结果表明,中国植被变绿降低了近地表气温,以中国北方最显著.通过与中国过去十几年观测到的气温变化进行比较表明,观测到的植被变绿在中国北方能够在一定程度上抵消全球变暖的影响.植被变绿同时也改变了东亚夏季风降水格局,特别是中国"北旱南涝"的不均衡分布.植被变绿能够显著增加中国北方夏季的降雨,这与近十几年观测到的北方夏季风降水有所增加基本一致.而在长江以南地区,变绿导致降水少量减少.此外,植被变绿对土壤水资源的影响在文中也作了简要讨论.

Worldwide,infections caused by drug‐resistant pathogens constitute a significant challenge threatening therapeutic *** to the World Health Organization(WHO),antimicrobial resistance(AMR)ranks among the top 10 global public health *** with a high rate of multiple host adaptivity,significant genetic diversity(multiple lineages),high virulence factors,and genetic exchange have been isolated from various sources(humans,animals,and the environment)even without exposure to prior *** now,the source of AMR and how resistant clones are selected in the environment remain largely elusive,and potential anthropogenic transmission has been reported in different *** drug‐resistant pathogens,lineages,resistant clones,outbreak clusters,plasmid replicates,and genes that play a critical role in resistance dissemination have been *** of certain multidrug‐resistant(MDR)determinants has also been shown to enhance or support the propagation of *** far,significant advances have been made in understanding the burden of ***,overcoming AMR requires a holistic approach,as there is no single approach with sufficient precision to curb the *** strengthening AMR surveillance efforts is essential,as we have shown,there is also a need to intensify efforts to strengthen therapeutic interventions,especially in priority regions such as ***,we discussed the burden of AMR and the dissemination of AMR in humans,animals,and the environment(non‐medical drivers).We further delved into the big questions on Africa and discussed how therapeutic interventions involving vaccines and other viable biomaterials could be pivotal in reducing the burden of AMR to the barest minimum.

＜正＞Effect of self-preservation of gas hydrates was explored over many years but there is no complete understanding how can hydrates exist in their thermodynamic instability region. We are suggesting the microscopic-level model of methane hydrate clusters immersed in ice matrix. Due to differences in thermal expansion of methane hydrate and Ice Ih the additional pressure appears in the hydrate phase and this moves it into its stability field. MD simulations were performed to find local pressure and density profiles. Results are well confirming our assumption.

Variation of organ morphology is a very common phenomenon in the nature,the genetic mechanism of this phenomenon is still one of the important unsolved mysteries of life *** order to quantify variation in shape and size,a computational shape modelling method was developed to capture allometric variation both within and between these different *** this framework,we observed that changes in size are often accompanied by changes in shape,reflecting an interaction between developmental and selective *** the method as a phenotyping technique could lead to novel insights for traditional measurement of organ variation.
