Electric system planning with high variable renewable energy(VRE)penetration levels has attracted great attention *** production of VRE highly depends on the weather conditions and thus involves large variability,uncertainty,and low-capacity *** gives rise to significant challenges for power system ***,many solutions are proposed to address the issue of operational flexibility inadequacy,including flexibility retrofit of thermal units,inter-regional transmission,electricity energy storage,and demand response(DR).Evidently,the performance and the cost of various solutions are *** is relevant to explore the optimal portfolio to satisfy the flexibility requirement for a renewable dominated system and the role of each flexibility *** this study,the value of diverse DR flexibilities was examined and a stochastic investment planning model considering DR is *** types of DRs,namely interrupted DR and transferred DR,were *** load and renewable generation curves with 8760 hours within a whole year were reduced to 4 weekly scenarios to accelerate the *** unit commitment constraints for accommodating variability of renewables were *** studies based on ieee RTS-96 system are reported to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method and the DR potential to avoid energy storage investment.

phasor measurement units(pMUs)are fundamental tools in the applications of modern power systems,where synchronized phasor estimations are *** accuracy and dynamic performance requirements for phasor,frequency,and rate of change of frequency(ROCOF)estimations are established in the ieee Std.C37.118.1-2011 along with the ieee Std.C37.118.1 a-2014,where two pMU performances are suggested:p class filters for applications requiring fast response and M class filters for applications requiring high rejection to aliased *** this paper,a methodology to design new phasor estimators that satisfy the p class and M class requirements in pMUs is *** proposed methodology is based on finite impulse response filters,brick-wall filters,and complex filter design concepts,where frequency range,time performance,harmonic rejection and out-of-band interference requirements are considered in its design.A comparative analysis using the reference model given by the ieee Std.C37.118.1 is *** results show the effectiveness of the phasor estimators under steady-state and dynamic conditions according to the pMU standard,making them suitable tools for applications in power systems.

The purpose of the next internet of things(Io T)is that of making available myriad of services to people by high sensing intelligent devices capable of reasoning and real time *** convergence of Io T and multi-agent systems(MAS)provides the opportunity to benefit from the social attitude of agents in order to perform machine-to-machine(M2 M)cooperation among smart ***,the selection of reliable partners for cooperation represents a hard task in a mobile and federated context,especially because the trustworthiness of devices is largely *** issues discussed above can be synthesized by recalling the well known concept of social resilience in Io T systems,i.e.,the capability of an Io T network to resist to possible attacks by malicious agent that potentially could infect large areas of the network,spamming unreliable information and/or assuming unfair *** this sense,social resilience is devoted to face malicious activities of software agents in their social interactions,and do not deal with the correct working of the sensors and other information *** this setting,the use of a reputation model can be a practicable and effective solution to form local communities of agents on the basis of their social *** this paper,we propose a framework for agents operating in an Io T environment,called Res Io T,where the formation of communities for collaborative purposes is performed on the basis of agent *** order to validate our approach,we performed an experimental campaign by means of a simulated framework,which allowed us to verify that,by our approach,devices have not any economic convenience to performs misleading ***,further experimental results have shown that our approach is able to detect the nature of the active agents in the systems(i.e.,honest and malicious),with an accuracy of not less than 11%compared to the best competitor tested and highlighting a high resilience with respect to some

With the release of the electricity sales side,large-scale small-capacity distributed power generation units are connected to the distribution side,forming multi-type market entities such as microgrids,integrated energy systems,and virtual power *** the large-scale integration of distributed energy,the energy market under the energy internet is different from a traditional transmission *** is currently developing in the direction of diversified entities and commodities,a flat structure,and a flexible and competitive multi-agent market *** this context,this study analyzes the value of combining blockchain and the electricity market presents the design of a blockchain trading framework for multi-agent cooperation and sharing of the energy *** nodes in market transactions are modeled through power system modeling in the physical layer and the transaction consensus strategy in the cyber layer;moreover,the nodes are verified in a modified ieee 13 testing feeder of a distribution network.A transaction example is demonstrated using the multi-agent cooperation and sharing transaction platform based on the Ethereum private blockchain.

In this paper,a new type of edge coloring of graphs together with an algorithm for such an edge coloring is presented to construct some columnweight three low-density parity-check(LDpC)codes whose Tanner graphs are free of *** kind of edge coloring is applied on some well-known classes of graphs such as complete graphs and complete bipartite graphs to generate some column-weight 3 LDpC codes having flexibility in terms of code length and ***,the constructed(3;k)-regular codes with regularities k=4;5;:::;22 have lengths n=12;20;26,35;48;57;70;88;104;117;140;155;176;204;228;247;280;301;330;having minimum block length compared to the best known similar codes in the *** addition to linear complexity of generating such parity-check matrices,they can be considered as the base matrices of some quasi-cyclic(QC)LDpC codes with maximum achievable girth 18,which inherit the low-complexity encoder implementations of QC-LDpC *** results show that the QC-LDpC codes with large girth lifted from the constructed base matrices have good performances and outperform random codes,progressive edge growth LDpC codes,some finite fields and group rings based QC-LDpC codes and also have a close competition to the standard ieee 802.16e(WiMAX)code.

An Ethereum blockchain based on proof of stake ( poS) consensus mechanism is used to achieve the data sharing within the civil aviation service platform for both airport group management and passengers. Considering the Gas consumption of Ethereum, the dynamic batch-service capacity constraint by the Block Gas Limit and the priority mechanism depending on the different Gas price of transactions, M/ G/1 queuing theory with batch-service is used to construct the service model of transactions confirmation process in the proposed blockchain system, where the effects of transactions arrival rate, block capacity, service rate and number of nodes on the average confirmation time of transactions with different priority are analyzed, and eventually a performance analysis model of blockchain for civil aviation business data is proposed. The simulation results prove the usability and accuracy of the model, which can provide both theoretical basis for data sharing of civil aviation using Ethereum blockchain and the further optimization of transactions confirmation time.
