Throughout history,the cross-regional mobility of the Han and Tibetan populations,exemplified by events such as Princess Wencheng's marriage into Xizang,monks'presentation of tributes to emperors,and the tea-horse trade,has facilitated the exchange of Han and Tibetan culinary *** the Qing Dynasty(1636-1912),as the central government consolidated its control over Xizang,the culinary exchanges between China's inland areas and Xizang increased ***,the introduction of Sichuan cuisine to Xizang coincided with the presence of the Sichuan army in the *** the Republican era(1911-1949),Sichuan merchants took over from the Sichuan military as the primary agents spreading Sichuan cuisine in *** to the concerted endeavors of the Sichuan army and merchants,by the end of the Qing Dynasty and throughout the Republican period,Han cuisine had not only become accessible for Tibetan nobility and religious elites,but had also started to commercialize for the general *** the establishment of the People's Republic of China,and particularly after the reform and opening-up policy,the advancement of various sectors in Xizang and the influx of Sichuan immigrants have enabled Sichuan cuisine to be widely disseminated across all social classes in *** introduction of Sichuan cuisine has significantly influenced the staple food structure,ingredients,cooking techniques,and eating habits of Tibetan local food *** has also helped to harmonize taste preferences and dietary customs between Sichuan and Xizang,further enhancing the cross-regional dissemination and mutual appreciation of the food cultures of the Han and Tibetan people.

A suspended cell line from Trichoplusia ni embryos was established, and its susceptibility to Autographa californica multiple nuclear polyhedrosis virus （AcMNPV） infection was investigated. This cell line had characteristics distinct from the BTI-Tn5B 1- 4 cell line （Tn5B 1-4） from T. ni in growth, and showed approximately the same responses to AcMNPV infection, production of occlusion bodies, and levels of recombinant protein expression. No clumps were observed at maximum cell density at late-log phase in shake-flask or T-flask cultures, and thus the cells represent a useful new contribution for baculovirus research. The cells consist of two major morphological types： approximately 70% spindle-shaped cells and 30% round cells. The cell line was highly susceptible to virus infection and produced around 107 AcMNPV occlusion bodies per cell, on average. Production of β-galactosidase and secreted alkaline phosphatase was high with 3.97 ± 0.13 × 10^4 IU/mL and 3.48 ± 0.40IU/mL, respectively. This cell line may be applicable for studies of scale-up production of viruses or baculovirus-insect cell expression. We also believe the new line can be a source for cell clones with higher production of virus and recombinant proteins compared to the parent or other existing cell lines such as Tn5B 1-4.

Human brain development is a complex process,and animal models often have significant *** address this,researchers have developed pluripotent stem cell-derived three-dimensional structures,known as brain-like organoids,to more accurately model early human brain development and *** enable more consistent and intuitive reproduction of early brain development,in this study,we incorporated forebrain organoid culture technology into the traditional unguided method of brain organoid *** involved embedding organoids in matrigel for only 7 days during the rapid expansion phase of the neural epithelium and then removing them from the matrigel for further cultivation,resulting in a new type of human brain organoid *** cerebral organoid system replicated the temporospatial characteristics of early human brain development,including neuroepithelium derivation,neural progenitor cell production and maintenance,neuron differentiation and migration,and cortical layer patterning and formation,providing more consistent and reproducible organoids for developmental modeling and toxicology *** a proof of concept,we applied the heavy metal cadmium to this newly improved organoid system to test whether it could be used to evaluate the neurotoxicity of environmental *** organoids exposed to cadmium for 7 or 14 days manifested severe damage and abnormalities in their neurodevelopmental patterns,including bursts of cortical cell death and premature *** exposure caused progressive depletion of neural progenitor cells and loss of organoid integrity,accompanied by compensatory cell proliferation at ectopic *** convenience,flexibility,and controllability of this newly developed organoid platform make it a powerful and affordable alternative to animal models for use in neurodevelopmental,neurological,and neurotoxicological studies.

Inoculated fermentation enables rapid fermentation of aquatic products. No studies have been conducted on the lipid profiles of inoculated fermented golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus). In this study， a lipase-producing Bacillus subtilis with salt tolerance was screened from traditionally fermented golden pompano (TF) and used as a starter culture. Whole-genome sequencing analysis revealed it carries four CRISPR structures and two genes encoding triacylglycerol lipase. Untargeted lipidomics identified lipid molecules (833) in six major classes from B. subtilis SCSMX-2 fermented golden pompano (IF). Twenty-eight lipid molecules were upregulated in IF， including phosphatidylcholines (PCs)， triacylglycerols (TAGs)， and lysophosphatidylcholine. B. subtilis supplementation enhanced the production of polyenyl phosphatidylcholines and medium- and long-chain triacylglycerols. The IF rich in linoleic， docosahexaenoic acids， and eicosapentaenoic acid were primarily distributed in the sn-2 position of DHA， PC and PE. This research revealed the lipid profiles of IF， providing theoretical basis for the application of B. subtilis in the fermented fish industry.

To investigate how a low tone （tone-3, T3） syllable in Chinese can be perceived to be focal accented or not, a total of 156 sentences containing tone-3 words were synthesized and used as stimuli in a perceptual study. The sentences differed in the falling value between the two high pitches, and in the duration and phonation types of the T3 syllables. Thirty-nine subjects were asked to judge where the focus or accent was for each sentence. The results show that at least three degrees of pitch drop are involved in the focus recognition： a big sized drop of about 10 semitones; a middle sized drop of about 6 semitones; a small sized drop of about 2 semitones. The results suggest that the three sizes of pitch drop have different indications in Chinese intonation, depending on both the tone and the tone combination. In perception, there are various ways to realize tone-3 focus in the Tx-T3-Ty sentences series, but in production or for text-to-speech synthesis, the rule simply is making a middle sized pitch drop with a long and creaky T3 syllable. Similarly, to focus on the low tone syllable in the T3-Tx-Ty sentences, a creaky T3 syllable is essential. However, a long T3 syllable is a strong determinant for a low tone focus in the Tx-Ty-T3 sentences.
