This paper deals with the design of a novel nonsingular terminal sliding mode controller for finite-time synchro-nization of two different chaotic systems with fully unknown parameters and nonlinear inputs. We propose a novel nonsingular terminal sliding surface and prove its finite-time convergence to zero. We assume that both the master＇s and the slave＇s system parameters are unknown in advance. Proper adaptation laws are derived to tackle the unknown parameters. An adaptive sliding mode control law is designed to ensure the existence of the sliding mode in finite time. We prove that both reaching and sliding mode phases are stable in finite time. An estimation of convergence time is given. Two illustrative examples show the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed technique. It is worthwhile noticing that the introduced nonsingular terminal sliding mode can be applied to a wide variety of nonlinear control problems.

To prevent irreversible damage to one’s eyesight,ocular diseases(ODs)need to be recognized and treated *** fundus imaging(CFI)is a screening technology that is both effective and *** to CFIs,the early stages of the disease are characterized by a paucity of observable symptoms,which necessitates the prompt creation of automated and robust diagnostic *** traditional research focuses on image-level diagnostics that attend to the left and right eyes in isolation without making use of pertinent correlation data between the two sets of *** addition,they usually only target one or a few different kinds of eye diseases at the same *** this study,we design a patient-level multi-label OD(PLML_ODs)classification model that is based on a spatial correlation network(SCNet).This model takes into consideration the relevance of patient-level diagnosis combining bilateral eyes and multi-label ODs ***_ODs is made up of three parts:a backbone convolutional neural network(CNN)for feature extraction i.e.,DenseNet-169,a SCNet for feature correlation,and a classifier for the development of classification *** DenseNet-169 is responsible for retrieving two separate sets of attributes,one from each of the left and right *** then,the SCNet will record the correlations between the two feature sets on a pixel-by-pixel *** the attributes have been analyzed,they are integrated to provide a representation at the patient *** the whole process of ODs categorization,the patient-level representation will be *** efficacy of the PLML_ODs is examined using a soft margin loss on a dataset that is readily accessible to the public,and the results reveal that the classification performance is significantly improved when compared to several baseline approaches.

Guava is one of the most important fruits in Pakistan,and is gradually boosting the economy of *** production can be interrupted due to different diseases,such as anthracnose,algal spot,fruit fly,styler end rot and *** diseases are usually detected and identified by visual observation,thus automatic detection is required to assist *** this research,a new technique was created to detect guava plant diseases using image processing techniques and computer *** automated system is developed to support farmers to identify major diseases in *** collected healthy and unhealthy images of different guava diseases from the *** image labeling was done with the help of an expert to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy *** local binary pattern(LBP)was used for the extraction of features,and principal component analysis(PCA)was used for dimensionality *** classification was carried out using multiple classifiers,including cubic support vector machine,Fine K-nearest neighbor(F-KNN),Bagged Tree and RUSBoosted Tree algorithms and achieved 100%accuracy for the diagnosis of fruit flies disease using Bagged ***,the findings indicated that cubic support vector machines(C-SVM)was the best classifier for all guava disease mentioned in the dataset.

A neuron proportion integration (PI) control strategy for semi-active suspension system of tracked vehicle was proposed based on its unique structure and the multiple and complex environment of the driving traffic. An adaptive genetic algorithm is used to optimize the parameters of the neuron PI controller. The simulation result of the neuron PI control for semi-active suspension system of tracked vehicle indicates that the vertical amplitude,pitch angle and vertical acceleration of the vehicle are well controlled. The root mean square (RMS) of the vertical amplitude decreases by 37.2%,and 45.2% for the pitch angle,38.6% for the vertical acceleration. The research of neuron PI control experiment for the semi-active suspension system of the tracked vehicle model mining in benthal indicates that the RMS of the weight acceleration vibrating along the vertical direction decreases by 29.5%,the power spectral density resonance peak of the acceleration of the car body decreases by 23.8%.

In rd （DF） MIMO two-way relay systems, the transmission schemes are designed and the closed-form expressions for the outage probability and average symbol error rate （ASER） of the twoway relay system are derived based on two different scenarios of channel state information （CSI）. For perfect CSI, the maximum-ratio-transmission and combining （MRT-MRC） technique is applied to design the beamforming and combining vectors. Without perfect CSI, the transmission scheme with limited feedback is designed, and the analytical results are verified through two kinds of codebooks, i.e., random vector quantization and Grassmann. The simulation results show that, the proposed transmission schemes for the two-way relay system can outperform other transmission schemes in the performance of outage probability and ASER, and the accuracy of the derived closed-form expressions is also verified by the numerical simulations.

The enhancement characteristics of the local field in the surface plasmon nanocavities are investigated numerically. The cavity is constructed by placing a defect structure in the thickness-modulated metal-insulator-metal waveguide Bragg gratings. The characteristic impedance based transfer matrix method is used to calculate the transmission spectra and the resonant wavelength of the cavities with various geometric parameters. The finite-difference time- domain method is used to obtain the field pattern of the resonant mode and validate the results of the transfer matrix method. The calculation and simulation results reveal the existence of resonant wavelength shift and intensity variation with structural parameters, such as the modulation period of the gratings, the length and the width of the defect structure. Both numerical analysis and theoretical interpretation on these phenomena are given in details.

A Crank-Nicolson scheme based on nonconforming finite element with moving grids is dis- cussed for a class of parabolic integro-differential equations under anisotropic meshes. The corresponding convergence analysis is presented and the error estimates are obtained by using the interpolation operator instead of the conventional elliptic projection which is an indispensable tool in the convergence analysis of traditional finite element methods in previous literature.

Every person differs from every other person regarding their physical appearance, susceptibility to disease, response to medications, and so on. However, 99.9 percent of human DNA is the same. As such,differences in human genomes are very worthy of study. Single-Nucleotide Polymorphisms(SNPs) are the simplest form and most common source of genetic polymorphism. SNPs have been used to successfully identify defective genes that cause Mendelian diseases. However, most common human diseases are complex and are caused by multiple SNPs. Each SNP explains only a small fraction of genetic causes. Experiments on individual SNPs may reveal their non-detectable effects on complex diseases. Pathogenesis is a complicated topic, and it is difficult to correctly predict multiple SNPs. As such, the analysis of SNP data is a critical task in the study of genetic *** this paper, we divide the methods for genome-wide SNP data analysis into two categories: single-trait GenomeWide Association Studies(GWAS) in which pathology is mined from data of a single phenotype, and multiple-trait GWAS which identifies cross-phenotype associations. For single-trait GWAS, we review methods ranging from the simple to the complex, including TEAM, BOOST, AntEpiSeeker, SNPRuler, EDCF, HiSeeker, ORF, MLR-tagging,MSCD, and MIC. For multiple-trait GWAS, we describe methods in terms of their employed regression models,dimension-reduction methods, and meta-analysis methods. We also list the advantages and disadvantages of these methods. Finally, we discuss the future directions of SNP data analysis for genome-wide association.
