The COVID-19 pandemic is the largest ever infectious disease facing *** challenges national governance capabilities and international *** June 8,2021,the“2021 china-Europe Seminar on human rights”was held in Chongqing,*** theme was“COVID-19 Pandemic and the Protection of the Right to Life and Health,”which focused on five topics:the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the protection of the rights to life and health,the response of countries against the pandemic,the protection of the right to life and health of specific groups during the pandemic response,the national responsibility for the protection of the right to life and health in the public health crisis,and global cooperation in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 *** conference reached two consensuses:First,in the face of the pandemic,countries must take responsibility for the people and protect the people’s right to life and health;second,an effective international mechanism for fighting the COVID-19 pandemic must be established as soon as possible.

A seminar on Construction of china’s human rights discourse System in the new era was held in Central South University(CSU) on April 12, 2018. The event was sponsored by the china society for human rights Studies and the Publicity department of the hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of china, and hosted by the CSU Research Center for human rights and the CSU School of law. nearly 70 experts and scholars in law, international relations, and communication from institutes of higher learning, research institutions, and practical work departments from around the country shared their opinions on three topics: Cultivation of a Chinese human rights discourse System in the new era, Communication of the Chinese human rights discourse in the new era, and Chinese human rights discourse and International human rights Governance in the new era. They conducted an in-depth discussion on enhancing human rights self-confidence, grasping the characteristics of the new era and the general development trend, consolidating consensus between domestic and overseas human rights discourses, and effectively carrying out international human rights exchanges. Fully reflecting the in-depth thinking and insights of attending experts and scholars on the matter, the seminar effectively promoted the development of research on Construction of china’s human rights discourse system in the new era.

china’s democracy is one of the distinctive features of contemporary Chinese political and social governance. Based on the practical explorations and theoretical conclusions of countries around the world, china has established a democratic system that conforms to its national conditions by combining its historical and cultural traditions with its political and social conditions. The distinctive features of the system include the extensive and in-depth participation of the people, especially the people basis of the CpC as the ruling party on an organizational level, and also include the expression of public opinion in practice, especially the supervision of public affairs by the people, demonstrating in-depth integration of democracy with human rights. This democratic concept and practice integrating human rights deeply enrich the ideological and theoretical system and institutional system of human rights and democracy in the world, and also contribute to the successful exploration of the relationship between democracy and human rights as well as the relationship between democracy and good governance to a great extent. International doubts of and even suppression of such explorations are not aimed at promoting democracy and human rights but more of a malicious boycott out of political realism. To truly achieve better world order and improve global governance, we should advocate and promote the diversity of democratic civilizations.

On November 1,1991,the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of china issued its first white paper entitled human rights in *** the past 30 years,china’s human rights cause has developed rapidly,and relevant theoretical research has been continuously *** October 15,2021,the Seminar Commemorating the 30;Anniversary of the Release of the White Paper Entitled human rights in china was held in *** focused on three topics:the theoretical significance of the white paper,its discourse building and its *** meeting held that the Chinese human rights philosophy emphasized in the white paper is in line with china’s national conditions and development path philosophy,and is a typical achievement of adapting Marxism to Chinese *** the past 30 years since the release of this white paper,china’s human rights cause has completed the basic work of theoretical building and path exploration,and meanwhile,china has established a human rights discourse system and human rights protection system in line with china’s history and development stage,participated in global human rights cooperation,and contributed Chinese wisdom to the advancement of the world’s human rights cause.

china has made remarkable achievements in poverty *** is of far-reaching significance to observe and interpret poverty reduction in china from the perspective of human *** human rights provides a two-way perspective of *** can help observe poverty reduction in the"kaleidoscope"of human rights,and also can help understand human rights through poverty reduction,in particular,observe the status and development trend of human rights in national governance through the"governance revolution"triggered by poverty *** examination of poverty governance from the perspective of human rights will reveal that poverty alleviation has become a major"human rights project".The discourse,goals and approaches to poverty reduction have been marked with human rights imprints,and they are ultimately translated into the realization of the right to be free from poverty in the two dimensions of survival and *** examine human rights through poverty reduction will reveal that the way of poverty governance is changing,which implies a development view based on human rights,and stimulates the subjectivity of citizens in the trend of democratic participation and pluralistic *** above change drives and advances the mainstreaming of human rights in the field of national governance and the deep change of ***,how these signs and trends continue to thrive in a broader field and obtain more institutional support after 2020 in the post-poverty alleviation era.
