Medium-manganese(Mn)steel(MMS)has remarkable characteristics of high strength,strong work-hardening capacity,and wear resistance,being a promising third-generation advanced high-strength steel with lower raw material cost compared with other generations of advanced high-strength *** chemical composition and processing route play critical roles in determining the microstructural evolution of the MMS,and the microstructure composition significantly influences the mechanical,corrosion and wear properties of the ***,a lot of research work focus on exploring the direct relation between microstructural evolution and mechanical/corrosion/wear properties,and the progress has the following crucial aspects:(1)alloying design on the phase composition and carbide precipitation,(2)processing route on regulating microstructure evolution and twinning-induced plasticity and/or transformation-induced plasticity strengthening mechanism,(3)work-hardening,corrosion,and corrosion resistance of the regulated MMS,and(4)fracture and failure mechanism of MMS under tensile,corrosion and wear damages,as well as the improvement strategies.

In the presented work, the possibility of direct synthesis of LDH(layered double hydroxide) on the AZ91 surface in the presence of a chelating agent(diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid-DTPA) is reported. Conversion layer of LDH nanocontainers were formed under ambient pressure conditions without carbonate addition in the electrolyte. The obtained LDH was characterized using experimental(SEM,XRD, TGA, XPS, Raman, etc.) and computational methods(thermodynamic calculation, modeling of possible LDH crystal structures). A comparison of three possible LDHs(LDH-OH,-NO_(3) and-CO_(3)) was performed. Based on the experimental results and crystal simulation approach, it was confirmed, that the mixed LDH-OH/CO_(3) is grown on the surface in the presence of DTPA pentasodium salt.

Focal-shape effects on the efficiency of the tunnelionization probe for extreme laser intensities

We examine the effect of laser focusing on the effectiveness of a recently discussed scheme[*** et al.,***.A 99,043405(2019)and *** and ***,Laser ***.17,025301(2020)]for in situ determination of ultrahigh intensities of electromagnetic radiation delivered by multi-petawatt laser *** two model intensity distributions in the focus of a laser beam,we show how the resulting yields of highly charged ions generated in the process of multiple sequential tunneling of electrons from atoms depend on the shapes of these *** findings lead to the conclusion that an accurate extraction of the peak laser intensity can be made either in the near-threshold regime,when the production of the highest charge state happens only in a small part of the laser focus close to the point where the intensity is maximal or through the determination of the points where the ion yields of close charges become *** show that for realistic parameters of the gas target,the number of ions generated in the central part of the focus in the threshold regime should be sufficient for a reliable measurement with highly sensitive time-of-flight *** the positions of the intersection points generally depend on the focal shape,they can be used to localize the peak intensity value in certain ***,the slope of the intensity-dependent ion yields is shown to be robust with respect to both the focal spot size and the spatial distribution of the laser intensity in the *** these slopes can be measured,they will provide the most accurate determination of the peak intensity value within the considered tunnel ionization *** addition to this analysis,we discuss the method in comparison with other recently proposed approaches for direct measurement of extreme laser intensities.
