Disaster forensic approaches aim to identify the causes of disasters to support disaster risk ***,few studies have conducted a systematic literature review of scientific articles that labeled themselves as a forensic approach to *** article provides a qualitative analysis of these forensic studies,focusing on five main issues:(1)the methodologies applied;(2)the forensic approaches used in the disaster risk management phases;(3)the hazards addressed;(4)if the methodologies involve social participation,and using what types of participation;and(5)if there are references to urban planning in the scientific studies *** results showed a predominance of the Forensic Investigations of Disasters(FoRIN)and Post-Event Review Capability(PERC)methodologies used in isolation or *** is a need for methodologies that engage people in participatory FoRIN,fostering the co-production of knowledge and action research approaches.

In this work, lemon and onion biomasses commonly found in street markets are for the first time used to develop a facile, fast and low-cost one-step microwave-assisted carbonization method for synthesis of highly fluorescent carbon dots (CDs). The structure and optical properties of CDs were investigated by TEM, XRD, XRF, UV-Vis, FTIR, and fluorescence spectroscopy. CDs displayed satisfactory optical pro-prieties, a high quantum yield of 23.6%, and excellent water solubility, and the particle size was 4.23-8.22 nm with an average diameter of 6.15 nm. An efficient fluorescent resonance energy transfer (FRET) between the CDs and riboflavin was achieved with CDs acting as donor and riboflavin as acceptor. A linear relationship between FRET and the riboflavin concentration from 0.10 to 3.0 μg/mL was observed, allowing the development of an accurate and fast analytical method to determine this vitamin in multivitamin/mineral supplements. Despite the potential interferences in these supplements, CDs were selective for riboflavin under optimized conditions. A paired t-test at a 95% confidence level indicated no statistically significant difference between the proposed and the reference methods. Recovery test presented values ranged from 96.0% to 101.4%. The limit of detection and relative standard deviation were estimated at 1.0 ng/mL and omestic microwave oven (1450 W, 6 min), presenting satisfactory parameters when compared with results of other studies reported in the literature, suggesting that the proposed method is a potentially useful method for the synthesis of CDs and determination of riboflavin.

Enteroparasitoses in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Background: Patients with rheumatic diseases have profound alterations in the immune system as a result of underlying diseases and the treatments used, which increases the risk of occurrence and severity of infections, including enteroparasitosis. The current treatment for rheumatoid arthritis involves immunosuppressive therapies powerfully needed for screening infectious processes. The prevalence of parasitic infections in rheumatoid arthritis patients is not currently documented in literature. The objective of the current study was to determine the prevalence of parasitic diseases in a population with RA. Methods: We collected demographic and socioeconomic data from 67 patients at the Hospital Universitário de Brasília from July 2015 to April 2016. All patients underwent a parasitological examination of their stool and multiple variables were analyzed using Poisson regression method. Results: The mean age of patients was 53.9 years. They were predominantly in women (94%) and caucasian (47.8%). The mean disease duration was 9.2 years and most patients had the disease in remission or light activity. The prevalence of parasitic infections in these patients was 11.9%, all cases being that of protozoa of the following species: Endolimax nana, Entamoeba histolytica and Entamoeba coli. The final multivariate analysis indicated that the presence of disease had a significant statistical relationship between the presence of enteroparasitosis and rheumatoid arthritis with no fatigue by VAS (p = 0.0488) and best current health index by VAS (p = 0.0012). Conclusion: This study indicates that the prevalence of enteroparasitoses in a population with Rheumatoid Arthritis was 11.9% and all cases were found of protozoa.

This work deals with a description of an elastic analysis of eolic blade （preprocessing, processing and post-processing stages）. The eolic blade geometry is approximated by flat finite elements in which the membrane effects are evaluated using the FF （free formulation） finite element and the flexure effects are calculated using DKT （discrete shear triangle） finite element. The pre-processing stage is implemented using openGL library, to provide the graphical construction for geometry, mesh orientation, and other requirements of the finite element model. For the processing stage is built a specific dll （dynamic link library） library implemented in C＋＋ language for the FF and DKT elements analysis. The post-processing stage has been built using specific dialogs to present all results in the graphic interface, where the static displacements of the eolic blade model are shown.

Isabel grape(IG)products have high contents of phenolic compounds and fiber recognized for their positive impacts on microorganisms associated with health benefits to *** study evaluated the effects of goat yogurts formulated with ingredients from IG integral valorization on the growth and metabolism of different probiotic strains,as well as on the population of selected bacterial groups and metabolic activity of human colonic microbiota in *** yogurts with IG ingredients(IGI)stimulated the growth of tested Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium probiotic strains during a 48-h cultivation,as well as decreased the pH values and enhanced the organic acid *** yogurts with IGI increased the population of Lactobacillus *** Bifidobacterium *** a 24-h in vitro colonic fermentation.A stable Firmicutes:Bacteroidetes ratio close to 1 was found in media with goat yogurt formulations during the colonic fermentation,being similar to the effect caused by *** yogurt formulations with IGI caused increased production of short-chain fatty acids and sugar consumption during colonic *** yogurts with IGI should be a valuable strategy for development of novel added-value foods with beneficial effects on gut microbiota and human health.

objectives: To determine prevalence, incidence and risk factors of delirium in hospitalized patients in the infirmary of medical clinic of the Lauro Wanderley University Hospital. Method: An observational cohort study evaluating 140 patients over 18 years between admission and discharge. The survey instrument was the Confusion Assessment Method. Results: The prevalence of delirium was 5.7% (8/140) and the incidence, 2.1%. In patients with delirium were observed alteration of sleep-wake cycle (6/75%), altered level of consciousness (6/75%), disorganized thinking (5/62, 5%) and psychomotor retardation (5/62 5%). There was a significant association of delirium and age, mechanical restraint in bed, prior history of cognitive impairment, auditory and visual sensory deficit, psychiatric hospitalization, poor health status and mortality. Conclusions: The prevalence of delirium at admission was lower than that found in other studies, but it was a predictor factor of hospital mortality.
