Agronomic and Economic Efficiency of Manure and Urea Fertilizers Use on Vertisols in Ethiopian Highlands

Soil fertility depletion is among the major impediments to sustained agricultural productivity especially in the less developed countries because of limited application of fertilizers. Soil fertility maintenance requires a balanced application of inorganic and organic nutrient sources. This study was conducted on a Vertisol in Ethiopia to determine the optimum farm yard manure （M） and nitrogen （N） application rates for maximum return under cereal-pulse-cereal rotation system. The main and interaction effects of M and N significantly affected biomass, grain and straw yields of wheat （Triticum durum） and tef （Eragrostis tear）, but the residual effect on chickpea （Cicer arietinum） was not significant. Application of 6 t M ha^-1 and 30 kg N ha^-1, gave the largest grain yield of both crops but a comparable result was obtained due to 3 t M ha^-1 and 30 kg N ha^-1. The economic analysis revealed that 6.85 t M ha^-1 and 44 kg N ha^-1 for wheat, and 4.53 t M ha^-1 and 37 kg N ha^-1 for tef were the economic optimum rates. The additional benefit obtained due to these rates was about 450 USD ha^-1. Therefore, application of the economic optimum combination of both organic and inorganic sources of nitrogen is recommended for use on cereals in the cereal-legume-cereal rotation system.

Using a sample of A-share listed firms in China during the 2003–2012 period,this paper investigates the effect of accounting conservatism on trade credit,taking changes in monetary policy into *** find that corporations with higher accounting conservatism obtain more trade credit and that accounting conservatism has a greater influence on trade credit under tight monetary ***,the backgrounds of the supplier and customer influence the positive relationship between accounting conservatism and trade *** influence is more evident when a company is privately owned and has greater market power,and less evident when the supplier or customer is the controlling shareholder.

Given the aging society,an increase in social demand,information-and communication technology-driven culture,and government policy support emerges to enable the development of the socialized care services system for the aged(SCSSA).The development of the SCSSA would be a significant step toward addressing China’s aging ***,the construction of the SCSSA challenges the theories and methods of traditional elderly care service system ***,the implementation path for such elderly care service policies is unclear,the necessary technological support is insufficient,and the mechanism for integrating intelligent information technology remains ***,this paper focuses on the needs of the elderly,grounded in the context of the changing elderly care service policies in China,and proposes a research paradigm that integrates system construction and support measure *** then construct the original SCSSA,which includes“material+spirit+medical treatment+healthcare”and propose a method of optimization and ***,we build the research framework of systematic support measures from the perspectives of policy reconstruction,institutional embeddedness,and technical *** work provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the construction and dynamic optimization of the SCSSA,thus making a significant contribution that will help China effectively cope with its aging society.

Game Theory Analysis of Quality Control in Two-Echelon Supply Chain

Game theories were used to study the problem which has one manufacturer and one supplier in this paper. of quality control in the two-echelon supply chain Firstly, a stackelberg game was introduced into the quality control of a two-echelon supply chain. In this general non-cooperative quality control game situation, the manufacturer acts as the leader, the optimal action policies were obtained for the manufacturer and the supplier. Then, a Nash bargaining model was used to analyze optimal action selection in the cooperative quality control game situation and to determine the profit segment between two supply chain members after collaboration. By comparison of two game equilibrium results above, it was found that the cooperative quality control game structure is superior to the general non-cooperative quality control game structure during the process of quality management in the two-echelon supply chain. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the conclusion of this paper.

In this paper, we give a coupled lattice equation with the help of Hirota operators, which comes from a special BKP lattice. Two-soliton and three-soliton solutions to the coupled system are constructed. Furthermore,resonant interaction of the two-soliton solution is analyzed in detail. Under some special resonant condition, it is shown that low soliton can propagate faster than high one. Finally, the N-soliton solution is presented in the Pfaffian form.

A Japanese candlestick chart consists of not only the closing price but also the high,low and opening price *** the Japanese candlestick,this paper investigates the forecasting power of the shadow in Japanese candlestick *** studies performed with the US stock market show that 1)there is a significant Halloween effect in the shadow;2)shadow is valuable for predicting the stock market returns in both statistical and economic sense;3)the predictability reported by the shadow can not be explained by either the CAPM model or the Fama-French three-factor *** paper confirms that predictability of the stock market can be improved if more price information is used.
