A major challenge for the efficient treatment of traumatic brain injury is the need for therapeutic molecules to cross the blood-brain barrier to enter and accumulate in brain *** overcome this problem,researchers have begun to focus on nanocarriers and other brain-targeting drug delivery *** this review,we summarize the epidemiology,basic pathophysiology,current clinical treatment,the establishment of models,and the evaluation indicators that are commonly used for traumatic brain *** also report the current status of traumatic brain injury when treated with nanocarriers such as liposomes and *** can overcome a variety of key biological barriers,improve drug bioavailability,increase intracellular penetration and retention time,achieve drug enrichment,control drug release,and achieve brain-targeting drug ***,the application of nanocarriers remains in the basic research stage and has yet to be fully translated to the clinic.

Objective:To investigate the potential role of the regulator of G protein signaling 20(RGS20)in radioresistance of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:A total of 35 lung adenocarcinoma(LUAD)patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA),who un-derwent radiotherapy,were enrolled and divided into radiosensitive(n=16)and radioresistant(n=19)groups based on clinical *** expression and prognosis of RGS20 were analyzed by Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis(GEPIA)database.A radioresistant cell line(A549R)was constructed by irradiating A549 cells with 6 Gy X-rays for 10 *** survival was measured by colony formation *** regulatory effect of RGS20 on pyroptosis were verified by LDH release and Western blot assay,and the underlying mech-anism was investigated by transfecting RGS20 siRNA and applying a GSDMD ***:A total of 2,181 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified by analyzing the data of radio-sensitive and radioresistant individuals from the TCGA-LUAD *** DEGs were enriched in G alpha(z)signalling events analyzed by Reactome ***20 exhibited significant upregulation among the DEGs,and its higher expression predicted poor prognosis in LUAD *** vitro,the expression of RGS20 protein was increased by irradiation in A549 cells,whereas it remained at much high levels in A549R cells regardless of *** irradiation,the expressions of pyroptosis-related proteins were significantly increased in A549 cells(Pradiation-induced cell death increased by siRGS20(P<0.05).Meantime,the increased expression le

Chemotherapy is one of the major approaches for the treatment of metastatic lung cancer,although it is limited by the low tumor delivery efficacy of anticancer *** therapy is emerging for cancer treatment due to its high immune stimulation effect;however,excessively generated immunogenicity will cause serious inflammatory response ***,we prepared cancer cell membrane-coated liposomal paclitaxel-loaded bacterial ghosts(LP@BG@CCM)by layer-by-layer encapsulation for the treatment of metastatic lung *** preparation processes were simple,only involving film formation,electroporation,and pore ***@BG@CCM owned much higher 4T1 cancer cell toxicity than LP@BG due to its faster fusion with cancer *** the 4T1 breast cancer metastatic lung cancer mouse models,the remarkably higher lung targeting of intravenously injected LP@BG@CCM was observed with the almost normalized lung appearance,the reduced lung weight,the clear lung tissue structure,and the enhanced cancer cell apoptosis compared to its ***,several major immune factors were improved after administration of LP@BG@CCM,including the CD4^(+)/CD8a^(+)T cells in the spleen and the TNF-α,IFN-γ,and IL-4 in the ***@BG@CCM exhibits the optimal synergistic chemo-immunotherapy,which is a promising medication for the treatment of metastatic lung cancer.

The development of adsorbent materials for effective capture of radioactive iodomethane(CH_(3)I) from the off-gas of used nuclear fuel reprocessing, remains a significant and challenging line of research because currently state-of-art adsorbents still suffer from low binding affinity with CH_(3)I. Here, we proposed a brand-new adsorption topological structure by developing a 2D interdigitated layered framework, named SCU-20, featuring slide-like channel with multiple active sites for CH_(3)I capture. The responsive rotating-adaptive aperture of SCU-20 enables the optimal utilization of all active sites within the pore for highly selective recognition and capture of CH_(3)I. A record-breaking CH_(3)I uptake capacity of 1.84 g/g was achieved under static sorption conditions with saturated CH_(3)I vapor. Both experimental and theoretical findings demonstrated that the exceptional uptake of SCU-20 towards CH_(3)I can be attributed to the confined physical electrostatic adsorption of F sites, coupled with the chemical nitrogen methylation reaction with uncoordinated N atoms of pyrazine. Moreover, dynamic CH_(3)I uptake capacity potentially allows for the capture of CH_(3)I in simulated real-world off gas reprocessing conditions. This study highlights the potential of SCU-20 as a promising candidate for efficient capture of iodine species and contributes to the development of effective solutions for radioactive iodine remediation.

Recently,an extreme narrowband spectral response of only 8 nm in electronic-grade diamond-based photodetectors has been observed by Zheng Wei and his colleagues from Sun Yat-sen University for the first time.A charge collection narrowing mechanism assisted by free exciton radiative recombination is proposed,which well reveals the characteristic spectral response of diamond.

Iron(Fe)-based alloys,which have been widely used as structural materials in nuclear reactors,can significantly change their microstructure properties and macroscopic properties under high flux neutron irradiation during operation,thus,the problems associated with the safe operation of nuclear reactors have been put forward *** this work,a molecular dynamics simulation approach combined with electronic effects is developed for investigating the primary radiation damage process inα-***,the influence of electronic effects on the collision cascade in Fe is systematically evaluated based on two commonly used interatomic potentials for *** simulation results reveal that both electronic stopping(ES)and electron-phonon coupling(EPC)can contribute to the decrease of the number of defects in the thermal spike *** application of ES reduces the number of residual defects after the cascade evolution,whereas EPC has a reverse *** introduction of electronic effects promotes the formation of the dispersive subcascade:ES significantly changes the geometry of the damaged region in the thermal spike phase,whereas EPC mainly reduces the extent of the damaged ***,the incorporation of electronic effects effectively mitigates discrepancies in simulation outcomes when using different interatomic potentials.
