Evaluation of influence of detrending CSES satellite data on lithospheric magnetic field modeling

The China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite(CSES) was successfully launched in February 2018. The high precision magnetometer(HPM) on board the CSES has captured high-quality magnetic data that have been used to derive a global lithospheric magnetic field model. While preparing the datasets for this lithospheric magnetic field model, researchers found that they still contained prominent residual trends within the magnetic anomaly even once signals from other sources had been eliminated. However, no processing was undertaken to deal with the residual trends during modeling to avoid subjective processing and represent the realistic nature of the data. In this work, we analyze the influence of these residual trends on the lithospheric magnetic field *** of orders 0–3 were used to fit the trend of each track and remove it for detrending. We then derived four models through detrending-based processing, and compared their power spectra and grid maps with those of the CSES original model and CHAOS-7model. The misfit between the model and the dataset decreased after detrending the data, and the convergence of the inverted spherical harmonic coefficients improved. However, detrending reduced the signal strength and the power spectrum, while detrending based on high-order polynomials introduced prominent distortions in details of the magnetic anomaly. Based on this analysis, we recommend along-track detrending by using a zero-order polynomial(removing a constant value) on the CSES magnetic anomaly data to drag its mean value to zero. This would lead to only a slight reduction in the signal strength while significantly improving the stability of the inverted coefficients and details of the anomaly.

Research on the three-dimensional electrical structure of the shallow portion of the southern segment of the Red River Fault(Dazhai Village)

No earthquake of magnitude six or greater has been recorded historically in the southern segment of the Red River Fault(RRF).This absence constitutes a significant seismic gap, suggesting a risk of future strong earthquakes. The China Earthquake Science Experimental Site intends to conduct drilling exploration in this area, which necessitates improved knowledge of the fault zone's geometric distribution characteristics and deep structure. We obtained and analyzed audio and broadband magnetotelluric(MT) data collected at one of the alternative drilling stations(in the Dazhai Village of Honghe County). We have used these data to obtain a highresolution 3-D electrical model of this study area's subsurface to a depth of 5 km. We report that the electrical structure from the surface to 0.5 km is relatively complex, characterized by alternating high and low resistivity; below 0.5 km, the electrical structure becomes more simplified. The RRF extends northwest-southeast orientation along the high and low resistivity boundary, dipping northeastward. The electrical structure of the Red River Valley, which the fault zone traverses, reveals low resistivity characteristics with a lateral width of up to2 km. This study offers critical electromagnetic constraints that enhance our understanding of the tectonic characteristics of the RRF. The findings will inform and aid in the design of drilling plans for the southern segment of the RRF region.

Evaluation of the satellite's wake effect on the electric field detector onboard the CSES-01 satellite

This study aimed to evaluate the wake effect on the electric field detector(EFD) onboard the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite(CSES-01). Through a series of experiments and analyses, we confirmed that the disturbance phenomenon from probe B of the EFD is not caused by the boom layout. To validate and determine whether it is influenced by the wake effect, we conducted two experiments. In the first experiment, the entire satellite platform underwent a 90° counterclockwise yaw maneuver to allow probe B to avoid the plasma wake region. We then verified whether the disturbance was improved. In the second experiment, the satellite platform performed a 180° counterclockwise yaw maneuver, positioning probe B on the ram side of the satellite and completely avoiding all satellite wakes. The plasma wake effect of the satellite did not significantly influence the spherical probes of the EFD because the measurement accuracy stayed relatively stable under the two experiments, despite the observed abnormalities in the operating state of spherical probe B. This consistency in performance is important for electric field detection missions because the spatial electric field vector data obtained from these probes continue to effectively reflect information on spatial electromagnetic disturbances. These two experimental results showed that probe B consistently exhibited data jump phenomena under various maneuver states, whereas probes A, C, and D did not display such phenomena in any maneuver state.

Full waveform inversion(FWI) is a seismic imaging method with a unified mathematical framework based on wave equation constraints. The FWI method can be used to generate a variety of high-resolution seismic parameter models(e.g.,velocity, anisotropy, viscoelasticity, and attenuation), which can facilitate an in-depth understanding of important scientific problems such as the Earth's interior structure and material composition, earthquake preparation and occurrence, and plate motion and dynamic processes. With the development and cross-integration of disciplines such as geophysics, applied mathematics, and computer science, FWI imaging theories and methods not only play a crucial role in revealing the Earth's interior structure, dynamic evolution, and earthquake mechanisms but also show a wide range of application potential in fields such as resource exploration, medical imaging, engineering inspection, carbon dioxide geological sequestration, and earthquake disaster prediction. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive review and analysis of the development of the FWI method,addressing its current challenges, identifying key issues, future directions, and potential research areas in the theory, methodology, and application of high-resolution FWI imaging. We also offer new insights and perspectives to promote advancements of high-resolution FWI research and applications in Earth sciences and other related fields.

DDoS Attack Autonomous Detection Model Based on Multi-Strategy Integrate Zebra Optimization Algorithm

Previous studies have shown that deep learning is very effective in detecting known ***,when facing unknown attacks,models such as Deep Neural Networks(DNN)combined with Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM),Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)combined with LSTM,and so on are built by simple stacking,which has the problems of feature loss,low efficiency,and low ***,this paper proposes an autonomous detectionmodel for Distributed Denial of Service attacks,Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Network-Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Units-Single Headed Attention(MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA),which is based on a Multistrategy Integrated Zebra Optimization Algorithm(MI-ZOA).The model undergoes training and testing with the CICDDoS2019 dataset,and its performance is evaluated on a new GINKS2023 *** hyperparameters for Conv_filter and GRU_unit are optimized using the Multi-strategy Integrated Zebra Optimization Algorithm(MIZOA).The experimental results show that the test accuracy of the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model based on the MIZOA proposed in this paper is as high as 0.9971 in the CICDDoS 2019 *** evaluation accuracy of the new dataset GINKS2023 created in this paper is *** to the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model based on the Zebra Optimization Algorithm(ZOA),the detection accuracy on the GINKS2023 dataset has improved by 5.81%,precisionhas increasedby 1.35%,the recallhas improvedby 9%,and theF1scorehas increasedby 5.55%.Compared to the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA models developed using Grid Search,Random Search,and Bayesian Optimization,the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model optimized with the MI-ZOA exhibits better performance in terms of accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 score.

Effect of acid fracturing fluid modifying coal microstructure stimulated by ultrasonic

COMPrompter: reconceptualized segment anything model with multiprompt network for camouflaged object detection

We rethink the segment anything model(SAM) and propose a novel multiprompt network called COMPrompter for camouflaged object detection(COD). SAM has zero-shot generalization ability beyond other models and can provide an ideal framework for COD. Our network aims to enhance the single prompt strategy in SAM to a multiprompt strategy. To achieve this, we propose an edge gradient extraction module, which generates a mask containing gradient information regarding the boundaries of camouflaged objects. This gradient mask is then used as a novel boundary prompt, enhancing the segmentation process. Thereafter, we design a box-boundary mutual guidance module, which fosters more precise and comprehensive feature extraction via mutual guidance between a boundary prompt and a box prompt. This collaboration enhances the model's ability to accurately detect camouflaged objects. Moreover, we employ the discrete wavelet transform to extract high-frequency features from image embeddings. The high-frequency features serve as a supplementary component to the multiprompt ***, our COMPrompter guides the network to achieve enhanced segmentation results, thereby advancing the development of SAM in terms of COD. Experimental results across COD benchmarks demonstrate that COMPrompter achieves a cutting-edge performance, surpassing the current leading model by an average positive metric of 2.2% in COD10K. In the specific application of COD, the experimental results in polyp segmentation show that our model is superior to top-tier methods as well. Pricing and Inventory Decisions Facing Strategic Customers with Behavioral Preferences

The authors consider a two-period joint inventory and pricing decision problem for a retailer facing strategic customers with behavioral preferences such as reference dependence, loss aversion and risk preferences. The authors develop and analyze a model that accounts for customers' these behavioral preferences as well as value depreciation on the product, and makes predictions on the retailer's optimal decisions. Moreover, the authors demonstrate how the presence of these behavioral preferences and primary parameters will leverage the retailer's optimal decisions. It is revealed that strategic customers' loss aversion behavior could benefit the retailer from pushing up the regular price, the stocking quantity and hence the expected profit. However, customer's value depreciation on the product will drive down these aspects. To alleviate the negative effect of the strategic customers' behavioral preferences, the authors suggest the retailer applying inventory commitment strategy and price guarantee policy, which could increase the retailer's profit beyond the rational expectation equilibrium level in some situations.
