Fluorescence confocal laser-scanning microscopy(LSM)is one of the most popular tools for life science *** popularity is expected to grow thanks to single-photon array detectors tailored for *** detectors offer unique single-photon spatiotemporal information,opening new perspectives for gentle and quantitative superresolution ***,a flawless recording of this information poses significant challenges for the microscope data acquisition(DAQ)*** present a DAQ module based on the digital frequency domain principle,able to record essential spatial and temporal features of *** use this module to extend the capabilities of established imaging techniques based on single-photon avalanche diode(SPAD)array detectors,such as fluorescence lifetime image scanning ***,we use the module to introduce a robust multispecies approach encoding the fluorophore excitation spectra in the time ***,we combine time-resolved stimulated emission depletion microscopy with image scanning microscopy,boosting spatial *** results demonstrate how a conventional fluorescence laser scanning microscope can transform into a simple,information-rich,superresolved imaging system with the simple addition of a SPAD array detector with a tailored data acquisition *** expected a blooming of advanced single-photon imaging techniques,which effectively harness all the sample information encoded in each photon.

BACKGROUND Anastomotic leaks remain one of the most dreaded complications in gastrointestinal surgery causing significant morbidity,that negatively affect the patients’quality of *** studies play an important role in understanding the pathophysiological background of anastomotic healing and there are still many fields that require further *** drawn from these studies can lead to interventions or techniques that can reduce the risk of anastomotic leak in patients with high-risk *** the advances in experimental protocols and techniques,designing a high-quality study is still challenging for the investigators as there is a plethora of different models *** To review current state of the art for experimental protocols in high-risk anastomosis in *** This systematic review was performed according to The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses *** identify eligible studies,a comprehensive literature search was performed in the electronic databases PubMed(MEDLINE)and Scopus,covering the period from conception until 18 October *** From our search strategy 102 studies were included and were categorized based on the mechanism used to create a high-risk *** of assessing anastomotic healing were extracted and were individually *** Anastomotic healing studies have evolved over the last decades,but the findings are yet to be translated into human *** is a need for high-quality,well-designed studies that will help to the better understanding of the pathophysiology of anastomotic healing and the effects of various interventions.

Discovering more and new geometrically frustrated systems remains an active point of inquiry in fundamental physics for the existence of unusual states of ***,we report spin-liquid-like behavior in a two-dimensional(2D)rhombic lattice Fe-metal-organic framework(Fe-MOF)with frustrated *** Fe-MOF exhibits a high frustration factor f=|θCW|/TN≥315,and its long-range magnetic order is suppressed down to 180 *** theoretical calculations demonstrate strong antiferromagnetic coupling between adjacent Fe3+ions,indicating the potential of a classical spin-liquid-like ***,a T-linear heat capacity parameter,γ,originating from electronic contributions and with magnetic field independence up to 8 T,can be observed in the specific heat capacity measurements at low-temperature,providing further proof for the spin-liquid-like *** work highlights the potential of MOF materials in geometrically frustrated systems,and will promote the research of exotic quantum physics phenomena.

Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)function as key modulators in mammalian immunity,particularly due to their involvement in lncRNA-mediated competitive endogenous RNA(ceRNA)*** their recognized significance in mammals,research on lncRNAs in lower vertebrates remains *** the present study,we characterized the first immune-related lncRNA(pol-lnc78)in the teleost Japanese flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus).Results indicated that pol-lnc78 acted as a ceRNA for pol-miR-n199-3p to target the sterile alpha and armadillo motif-containing protein(SARM),the fifth discovered member of the Toll/interleukin 1(IL-1)receptor(TIR)adaptor *** ceRNA network regulated the antibacterial responses of flounder via the Toll-like receptor(TLR)signaling ***,SARM acted as a negative regulator and exacerbated bacterial infection by inhibiting the expression of inflammatory cytokines IL-1βand tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α).Pol-miR-n199-3p reduced SARM expression by specifically interacting with the 3’untranslated region(UTR),thereby promoting SARM-dependent inflammatory cytokine expression and protecting the host against bacterial ***,pol-lnc78 sponged pol-miR-n199-3p to ameliorate the inhibition of SARM *** infection,the negative regulators pol-lnc78 and SARM were significantly down-regulated,while pol-miR-n199-3p was significantly up-regulated,thus favoring host antibacterial *** findings provide novel insights into the mechanisms underlying fish immunity and open new horizons to better understand ceRNA crosstalk in lower vertebrates.

The excitation temperature Texfor molecular emission and absorption lines is an essential parameter for interpreting the molecular *** temperature can be obtained by observing multiple molecular transitions or hyperfine structures of a single transition,but it remains unknown for a single transition without hyperfine structure *** H2CO absorption experiments for a single transition without hyperfine structures adopted a constant value of Tex,which is not correct for molecular regions with active star formation and H II *** H2CO,two equations with two unknowns may be used to determine the excitation temperature Texand the optical depthτ,if other parameters can be determined from *** observational data of the4.83 GHz （λ=6 cm） H2CO (110-111) absorption line for three star formation regions,W40,M17 and DR17,have been used to verify this *** distributions of Texin these sources are in good agreement with the contours of the H110α emission of the H II regions in M17 and DR17 and with the H2CO (110-111) absorption in *** distributions of Texin the three sources indicate that there can be significant variation in the excitation temperature across star formation and H II regions and that the use of a fixed （low） value results in misinterpretation.

Transient memories,which can physically disappear without leaving traceable remains over a period of normal operation,are attracting increasing attention for potential applications in the fields of data security and green *** random access memory(RRAM)is a promising candidate for next-generation *** this context,biocompatible l-carrageenan(l-car),extracted from natural seaweed,is introduced for the fabrication of RRAM devices(Ag/l-car/Pt).Taking advantage of the complexation processes between the functional groups(C–O–C,C–O–H,et al.)and Ag metal ions,a lower migration barrier of Ag ions and a high-speed switching(22.2 ns for SET operation/26 ns for RESET operation)were achieved,resulting in an ultralow power consumption of 56 *** the prepared Ag/l-car/Pt RRAM devices also revealed the capacities of multilevel storage and *** addition,thanks to the hydrophilic groups of l-car molecule,the RRAM devices can be rapidly dissolved in deionized(DI)water within 13 minutes,showing excellent transient *** work demonstrates that l-car based RRAM devices have great potential for applications in secure storage applications,flexible electronics and transient electronics.

Low-coordination environment design of single Co atoms for efficient CO_(2) photoreduction

It is urgent to develop low-reflection electromagnetic interference shielding material to shield electromagnetic waves(EMW)and reduce their secondary radiation ***,an electromagnetic interference shielding nanofiber film is composed of ZnO and carbon nanofiber(CNF)via electrospinning and carbonization approachs,and subsequently coating perfuorooctyltriethoxysilane as a protective *** the one hand,ZnO coated by porous carbon,which is derived from ZIF-8,endows the nanofiber film low reflection property through optimizing impedance matching between free space and the nanofiber *** the other hand,the nanofiber film possesses high electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency,which is beneficial by excellent electrical conductivity of CNF derived from waste leather ***,the nanofiber film involves abundant interface,which contributes to high interfacial polarization ***,the nanofiber film with a thickness of 250 pm has electrical conductivity of 53 S/m and shielding efficiency of 50 *** reflection coefficient of the nanofiber film is inferior to 0.4 indicates that most of EMW are absorbed inside the materials and the nanofiber film is effective in reducing secondary radiation contamination of electromagnetic ***,the nanofiber film exhibits outstanding solar harvesting performance(106℃at 1 sun density)and good self-cleaning performance,which ensure that the nanofiber film can work in harsh *** work supplies a credible reference for fabricating low-reflection electromagnetic shielding nanofiber film to reduce secondary radiation pollution and facilitates the upcycling of waste leather scraps.

Photocatalytic carbon dioxide(CO_(2))to carbon monoxide(CO)offers a promising way for both alleviating the greenhouse effect and meeting the industrial ***,we constructed a Co single-atom catalyst with intentional low-coordination environment design on porous ZnO(denoted as Co1/ZnO).Impressively,Co1/ZnO exhibited a remarkable activity with a CO yield rate of 22.25 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1) and a selectivity of 80.2%for CO_(2) photoreduction reactions under visible *** incorporation of single Co atoms provided an additional photo-generated electron transfer channel,which suppressed the carrier recombination of ***,the unsaturated Co active sites were capable to adsorb CO_(2) molecule spontaneously,thus facilitating the activation of CO_(2) molecule during CO_(2) reduction course.
